It was about a couple days after the U.S.J., I'd be at home right now but being that it ended totally differently, I was sitting in the teacher's lounge with All Might.
"Everything you've said so far has added up to about where everyone else is at, besides the whole incident at the U.S.J., you said that ended differently in your time?" All Might asked.
"Yes ma'am. And depending on how long I'm here, I could help out more, I already have my Provisional License." I told her.
"That's good, I'm sure everyone here would be fine with that, especially after what you did at the U.S.J. You really know how to handle your own, kid!" She complimented.
I nodded and smiled. Inside, I was honestly feeling alone, none of this made me feel like I belong. I just wanted to go home. After my talk with All Might, I left the teacher's lounge to head "home," if I can even call it that. It all looked the same but it didn't feel the same. I gloomily grabbed my bag from my locker and walked out.
"Hey, wait up." I heard Shotai's voice.
I turned around and waited for her.
"Where are you going?" She asked.
"Home, I guess. It's really the only place I can go to feel some sense of normality." I responded.
Shotai put her hands in her pockets, "I see, so, what was your normal?"
"My normal was basically hanging out with my versions of you guys. Mostly Momo though." I explained.
"Oh, is she a female in your time?" Shotai inquired.
I nodded, "She is, she's only made me the happiest person in the world. Now I don't know if I'll ever see her again."
She didn't say anything as we kept walking, but this version of Shoto has definitely warmed up to me quicker than mine.
"If you'd like, you can stay the night at my home." She suggested.
I don't think Shotai understands the awkwardness of that, but I guess I can't blame her.
"Okay, sure. Why not?" I replied.
[4 Hours Later...]
Her house was the exact same as Shoto's, which I guess I shouldn't be surprised. We got ready for bed after eating a whole bunch of Soba! I walked in as she was laying a bed down for me.
"This is where you will sleep. If you need anything, let me know." She told me.
"Okay, I will. Thank you!" I smiled.
I laid down in the bed she laid out for me. I had my eyes closed for a while but I just couldn't sleep. I opened my eyes and stared at the ceiling. I eventually sat up and tried to figure out why I couldn't sleep.
"Are you having trouble sleeping?" Shotai asked.
I looked over and she was sitting next to me, it kinda startled me!
"Y-Yeah, I am. Sorry, I guess I'm not used to all of this yet." I answered.
"What did you do in order to fall asleep?" Shotai questioned.
"Well, normally Momo and I would cuddle up with each other, it helps me fall asleep a lot easier." I replied.
"Cuddle... Up?" She puzzled.
"Yeah! You know, it's like a hug but way longer than a regular hug." I explained.
Shotai wrapped her arms around me, "Like this? Is this what "Cuddle Up" means?"
"Yep, that's the spirit!" I laughed and pat her head.
"You can lay down now if you'd like. Unless this is also a part of how you sleep." She continued.
I laid back down with Shotai next to me. I closed my eyes and slowed my breathing down. I never really noticed that she was colder on her right-side compared to her left.
"How are you so cold?" Shotai questioned.
"It's because of my Quirk, I can regulate my body temperature thanks to it." I told her.
It went back to silence and I was finally starting to get relaxed a bit. I was about to fall asleep until I heard her voice yet again.
"Alyx, may I receive the "Cuddle Up" as well?" She broke the silence.
"O-Oh... Yeah, sure thing... Shotai." I sleepily responded.
I put my arm around her and pulled the blanket up closer to us. It didn't take me long to fall asleep now that everything was quiet.
[The Next Morning...]
I got up with Shotai, I guess when I moved, I woke her up!
I rubbed my eyes, "Good morning."
Shotai blinked a couple times and nodded. We got up to get ready for school, or in my case, sitting around for a few hours trying to figure out how to get home. As I went into the bathroom, I nearly fainted! I looked like how I did when I was a First-Year! I looked down at my body and noticed that it didn't decrease in mass whatsoever, did I somehow de-age when I got here? But that shouldn't be possible...
[20 Minutes Later...]
I arrived in Recovery Girl's Office, somethings apparently stayed the same, thankfully! I told her about my situation and she checked me out.
"Well, from what it looks like, you've definitely gotten the physique of a well-toned 16-year-old boy. Comparing the notes to other boys in Class 1-A and Class 1-B you're matching their physicality being that you're all the same age. You said you had more scars on your body than just the one on your eye?" She told me.
I nodded, "Yes ma'am, I had one on the left side of my chest, a burn scar on the right side of my face, two scars on my right arm, one on my lower right side, and my last one was on my left wrist."
She did more routine checkup things on me before sending me on my way. I asked Ms. Aizawa if I could use one of the gyms to train, she agreed, and I was on my way to Gym Gamma. It didn't take me too long to reach it, although I felt like I was being followed the entire time. As I entered the Gym, they already had things set up for me. I walked over to a rather large punching bag and stared at it.
"Huh, I wonder how much this thing can take?" I wondered.
I kicked it into Mode Five and got into my fighting stance. I punched the punching bag at full power, it rattled the entire Gym! The bag actually stood without any visible damage! I smiled and continued thwacking the punching bag.
[2 Hours Later...]
I threw my gym top off and stood silently. I took a deep breath in and activated Boost Fire: Times 100. I floated in mid-air and meditated as the intensity of Boost Fire flowed through my body. After about 10 minutes of meditation, I deactivated my Quirk and landed on the gym floor.
"Minoru, what are you doing?" I asked.
I didn't even have to look down at my leg to see who it was attached to it. I tried to shake her off but she wouldn't budge! I guess I know how the girls feel now. I grabbed my shirt but Minoru shouted at me.
(I.R.P.: Listen to, "Fleeting Peace" from Super Dragon Ball Heroes!)
"DON'T YOU DARE PUT THAT SHIRT BACK ON, YOU HEAR ME?!" She protested.
I sighed, "Good grief..."
I looked over and saw Shotai was here as well. I grabbed the top of Minoru's head and set her down on the floor.
"Hey, Shotai!" I smiled as I walked over to her.
"Y-You... The first thing you do is go after one of the hottest guys in school and make him your boyfriend, Shotai?! Really?!" Minoru yelled.
"Why yes, after all, he is my boyfriend. Can't you tell? He's a friend of mine and quite clearly a boy, I don't understand the problem here." Shotai replied.
I'm glad she took it that way instead of the other way around.
"So, will you be entering the Sports Festival this year, Alyx?" She asked.
"No, I won't be. I'm technically not supposed to be here so I can't really enter it anyway. I'd love to but I don't think I should." I responded.
Shotai nodded, "I see."
I went to return to my training but Shotai stopped me.
"Wait, I have something for you." She told me.
I turned around and saw that she had something in her hand. She placed it in mine and I looked at it. It was some sort of light blue necklace!
"I found this while I was looking at the shop here on campus. I figured you would like it since it's the same color as your Quirk." Shotai explained.
"Oh, well thank you! I like the look of it, that's for sure, you said you found it in a shop here?" I restated.
She nodded and Minoru started freaking out!
"WHY DON'T YOU TWO JUST KISS ALREADY?!?!" She roared.
"Why would we?" Shotai and I said in unison.
[5 Hours Later...]
After school was over, I went to my locker to grab my stuff, that's when I heard Bakugo's ever so lovely voice.
"Hey, Amnesia." She greeted.
"Oh, what's up?" I replied.
She slammed my locker door shut, "A little birdy told me you were training today. You tryin' to pull some shit on me, huh?"
"Gee, how'd you know I was training? I know for a fact you don't talk to Shotai or Minoru, so that leaves only one thing, you were watching me train the whole time!" I countered.
"W-What?! Do you fuckin' think I'd care about watching some idiot like you train? In your dreams, Amnesia! Just because you got that Half n' Half Bitch all googly eyed over you doesn't mean that I am!" Bakugo retorted.
I laughed and shook my head, "I'm just joking! And she isn't googly eyed over me, she's just a friend, where'd you get that idea?"
Bakugo glared at me and huffed. She stood straight up and looked me in the eyes.
"Really? Then what's this?" She pointed.
I looked to my left and saw Shotai standing next to me. I looked back over at Bakugo who was smirking. Good grief... I'm definitely going to remember this whole ordeal for the rest of my life! I walked out of school with Shotai and I heard Alyxus call out to the both of us.
"Hey! Ms. Aizawa wanted me to tell you that they've managed to establish contact with your version of Eraserhead! They said you've been missing for about 1 and a half days now." Alyxus told me.
Only 1 and a half days? Time does work differently here! I've been here for only 4 days, which means that once it's been a week here, it should be 3 or 4 days there. Thank the heavens that I wasn't going to be missing anything major!
"Okay, I was just beginning to wonder what was going on with that. That at least puts me at ease a bit." I replied.
I continued my walk with the two of them until we split ways with Shotai.
"You know, all of us girls have noticed that you're really the only person that Todoroki talks to. Or well, makes the effort to communicate with." Alyxus said.
"Really? I figured she would've talked to you or Izumi. That's honestly rather surprising." I admitted.
[10 Minutes Later...]
We arrived back at the house and Alyxus stopped me as I put my bag in our room.
"Hey, so, I have a question." She spoke up.
I looked up from my bag and at her, "Hm? I might just have an answer."
"Do... Do things get better after this?" She asked.
I didn't want to lie to her by making up some sweet, positive story. I sighed and sat down.
"Well, of course they do, I'm still here aren't I? I can't say that everything's all sunshine and rainbows of course, but things do get better. I've been through quite a lot and I mean a loooooot! You wouldn't believe half of the things I've had to deal with. But that's how it goes, you just have to keep on pushing in order to see the end of things. It's a lot of work, but still, I'm very certain that you of all people can get through it." I assured.
Alyxus looked down at the ground and then hugged me. I hugged her back, it kinda of felt strange, hugging an alternate universe version of yourself.
"One more thing, what's with the earrings?" She questioned.
It's always gotta be the earrings, doesn't it? I explained just a little bit as to why I wear them and how I got them. She seemed as interested as I was when I first learned about it.
"Oh, I almost forgot to tell you, U.A. and the other hero training schools alongside some Pro Heroes, are gonna try and see if they can't get you back to your home." Alyxus added.
Hopefully they do it soon, I didn't want to miss out on anything back home! I'm hoping that everyone's doing alright.
