I-Island Adventure! An Old Foe!

I decided to bring my Nichirin Sword along with me to this trip to I-Island. If I'm gonna use those Breathing Styles alongside my Quirks, I don't think I should just leave it behind. I made sure to pack my Kimono that Great Grandpa gave me, he told me about it before I left, it was his when he was first learning how to use Breathing Styles! Apparently, this I-Expo event was this gigantic event that showcased the latest advancements of Quirk technology.

"Isn't this exciting? We get to be one of the very few to see what exactly top researchers and scientists created in order to understand Quirks, maybe even enhance them!" Momo bubbled excitedly.

"Yeah! I wonder what all we'll see? This has definitely got my curiosity buzzing!" I agreed.

I looked out of the window and noticed that we were getting closer to I-Island, it was prettier seeing it in person rather than a photo! After about 40 minutes, we landed down at the island, we all had to go through an extensive bag search, this place's security seems on par with Tartarus. As we entered the island, I couldn't believe my eyes! It was absolutely ginormous! We got dressed into our hero costumes, I brought that along with me as well, but I decided to wear the kimono instead. I walked out and everyone was staring at me.

"Alyx, didn't you bring your hero costume? Don't get me wrong, it looks dope, but why wouldn't you wear your hero costume?" Jiro wondered.

"My Great Grandfather gave me this yesterday! Also, my hero costume is stored in this watch thingy!" I explained.

"Well, I think you look adorable!" Laura and Momo smiled.

They both looked at each other, hopefully there isn't any tension brewing between them...

"Deku! Alyx!" I heard someone shout.

A blonde-haired woman came bouncing towards us on some pogo stick.

"Hey! Melissa! Long time no see, friend!" I beamed.

"You know her, Alyx?" Deku asked.

Melissa stood next to me and smiled, "Yep! We've known each other for nearly our entire lives. His Father was great friends with mine back in the day, as a matter of fact, he was the one who designed his hero costume! And I may have worked some strings in order to get his memory fully restored."

She reached upwards and messed my hair up, "H-Hey! Not the hair!"

"But, yeah, Melissa and I go way back! I used to live in California before I moved to Nevada during my middle school years. She's just a little older than me." I explained.

"Yeah huh! About 8 months older actually! Also, what's with the kimono and the sword?" She added.

Melissa showed us around as I retold everyone and told her about how I met my Great Grandfather and my Great Aunt. There were so many amazing things here, I even saw this Pro Hero by the name of Godzillo! It kinda sounds familiar now that I'm thinking about it...

"Wait, you died?!" Melissa exclaimed.

"No, not really? Trust me, a lot of this stuff is complicated, and I mean complicated!" I laughed.

We continued to walk through the expo, in the distance, I could see something tall glistening. I wasn't sure what it was, it looked like a statue, maybe?

"Hey, Melissa, what's that in the distance?" I pointed.

"Oh, that's our 30-story tall, completely made of diamond statue of Uncle Might. It's currently closed off until later tonight at the reveal party! I'm surprised you can even see it from here, people always ask 'what's that shining thing in the distance? Is that another sun?' It's quite humorous!" Melissa explained.

Kirishima looked confused, "Wait, so, people don't know what that thing is because it's shining that brightly?"

She nodded and giggled. I guess they really put their time into that, I don't really blame them either! I looked behind me at everyone else, I didn't even realize that Kaminari and Mineta weren't with us! Where were they even at?

"May we interest you folks in a drink?" Kaminari asked.

Him and Mineta were servers? I would've thought that they were with us the entire time but I guess. I could feel tension in the air right behind me.

"Hey, Mikaboshi? Can you see what's going on behind me? Without making it obvious of course." I requested telepathically.

"That I can, let me see..." He answered.

He paused for a few seconds before he reported back to me.

"It seems as if your mistress and another female are having some sort of heated mental exchange with one another. Perhaps it would be necessary to speak with one of them?" Mikaboshi informed me.

"Alright, will do! Thank you!" I replied.

Melissa decided to continue the tour after Iida sternly informed Mineta and Kaminari to represent U.A. to their maximum capabilities.

"Hey, I'll catch up with you guys in a bit! There was something I forgot in one of the changing rooms." I lied.

Melissa turned back and nodded. I grabbed Momo's arm and we quietly took off. We hid behind a wall to make sure that nobody would see us.

"Is everything alright? Mikaboshi told me that you and Laura were in a 'heated mental exchange' and I felt the tension behind me." I told her.

She crossed her arms, "You haven't noticed how she's been observing you? Not to mention the comment she made after you left the changing room?"

"Besides the comment, I haven't been really paying attention, sorry. But I'm sure she didn't mean to say it, out loud anyways." I reassured.

"It didn't necessarily sound like it." Momo replied.

I held both of her hands, "I know it's frustrating, but it'll only be for today. Besides, she's moving into Hagakure's room when we get back, so things won't be as awkward anymore."

Her demeanor had thankfully changed, she had a slight smile and was looking at me. I smiled right back at her.

"I don't want you to have to deal with this, okay? Whatever comment she makes or anything of the sort, I won't really say anything besides a 'thank you', if that's alright." I continued.

We started walking back to the others, "That'll be alright, I'll still be keeping an eye on her, however."

Momo firmly held my hand as we traversed over to everyone else. In the distance, I heard the familiar sounds of Bakugo's explosions. We hurried over to see what was going on. Bakugo was laying wastes to these robots and we just got there in time to see it!

"Thirteen seconds! Wow, that was quick!" Melissa exclaimed.

This must be some sort of game? I wonder how fast my Sword Style is compared to my Quirk? Bakugo made his way back up with a smirk on his face.

"Heh, those fuckers didn't even stand a chance! You sure you don't have anything on my level? That was baby shit compared to what I can do!" Bakugo laughed.

"Well, this would be the only 'villains' allowed in this attraction, so I'm afraid not. Would anyone else like to give it a go?" Melissa responded.

I stepped forward, "I do! I've been wanting to try my Sword Style out for a while now."

I walked down with Melissa to the starting area. At this point, I was doing my Total Concentration Breathing 24/7 even during my sleep! I'd bet Great Grandpa and everyone else would be proud of me! I stood at the starting area and withdrew my sword; the timer wouldn't start until I moved out of the area.

"𝘞𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘉𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨: 𝘛𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘩 𝘍𝘰𝘳𝘮, 𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘍𝘭𝘶𝘹!" I muttered.

I darted out of the starting area, slashing through robots left and right! There weren't many places to go with a proper landing, so I had to improvise.

"𝘕𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘩 𝘍𝘰𝘳𝘮, 𝘚𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘞𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘍𝘭𝘰𝘸!" I shouted.

I had to use this form while maintaining my other one, I wasn't so sure about it at first, but the whole point of Water Breathing was to move around like an ocean wave, something I was capable of doing! I scaled up a cliffside and destroyed the last robot before zooming down to the starting area.

"Thirteen seconds as well! Nice job!" Melissa complimented.

Deku went next after Shoto. I figured Deku would have the quickest time out of all of us and oh boy, was I right! He finished the course in 7 seconds flat!

[2 Hour Later...]

"Okay everyone, make sure you meet back up here at 6:30! NO LATER!" Iida told us.

We all departed to get changed, but I stopped Melissa before she left with Deku.

"Hey, would it be alright if I still wore this kimono?" I asked.

"Well, it is a formal event... Kimonos can be formal if worn correctly! Here, let me help you." Melissa replied.

She readjusted the look of my kimono. I thanked her and she went on her way with Deku. I sat there in the lobby by myself for a while.

"I see you're taking up your Kamado Family heritage, that's quite generous of you." Mikaboshi remarked.

"Yeah, I figured I should let my Great Grandfather and Grandmother teach me some things. Who knows, maybe this stuff'll come in handy down the road!" I responded.

The elevator door opened and out came Kaminari and Mineta. They were still in their waiter outfits, I guess it doesn't make sense to change out of them, that's about as formal as it gets. Soon, everyone started filling into the lobby, except for Melissa, Deku, Kirishima, Laura, and Bakugo.

"Wow, you look great Momz! That's a really pretty dress! Is that a tiara on your head? That looks really cute!" I beamed.

"Oh, stop it! I'm flattered, darling!" She giggled.

Jiro looked up at her, "Wow, that's the first time I've ever heard you do a generic rich girl laugh, impressive."

The elevator door opened once more and Deku walked through.

"Hey man, you're looking great too! Even your bow tie looks normal! Then again, I guess they're a little easier than regular ties." I complimented.

Shortly after, both Melissa and Laura entered the lobby. This, on entrance, made both Kaminari and Mineta swoon over them. I don't think Kaminari noticed Jiro though...

"You do know I'm right here, right?" Jiro fumed.

"O-Oh! Sorry!" He quickly apologized.

Without even glancing over at Momo, Laura walked straight up to me. She didn't say a word to me though, she kind of just stood there waiting, she was rather close to me actually. Iida scolded Deku for being just a smidge late, then, we were off to this party! Apparently, Bakugo and Kirishima got lost on the way up here, so they'll be a little late to this reveal party. It wasn't going to start out right away, Dr. Shield was supposed to make a speech talking about All Might and his legacy.

[10 Minutes Later...]

It seems as if he already started the speech! We stood looking over a banister at him. I turned around to go check if Bakugo and Kirishima were here until sirens went off! Metal doors shut down on windows and the whole place was on high alert. I heard a loud explosion coming from downstairs. I hurried over to the others, there were 8 people coming through a hole in the wall. I knew immediately who these guys were!

"Well, good evening, I-Island! Might I say a fine evening to you, madam?" Mikey smirked.

What was Mikey doing here?! Him and his band of friends were all here for some reason, why? What exactly could this island have for dumbasses like them?

"Who is that guy?" Momo asked.

"Mikey O'Ryan, plus a few of his low life friends." I replied.

Laura looked up and me, I could tell she had a worried look on her face. Just seeing Mikey's face made me wanna vomit. All the things he's done to the both of us, the things he's done to my friends in Nevada, I never actually did pay him back for all that. I hopped on the railing and jumped down right before Mikey approached Melissa's Father.

"Wait a minute... Little Leonidus! I can't believe it; it's been so long since we've seen each other!" He grinned.

"What in the hell are you here for?" I questioned.

He pointed out towards one of the metal doors, "Out there, that giant statue made of nothing but diamond, I'm taking it. Diamonds are worth a pretty penny you know, and something that size made completely out of it? I'd be fuckin' rich!"

Deku and the others came down after me. They stood behind me as Mikey's band of rejects stood behind him. He looked over and saw Laura standing next to me.

"Oh, what a surprise, it seems as if that one guy didn't rough you up enough." Mikey smirked.

"I suggest you leave, now. That statue isn't going anywhere." I demanded.

"Oh really? Are you threatening me, Leonidus?" He growled.

"No, it's not a threat, it's a promise." I retorted.
