"Good morning, I hope you all have studied for your test in Modern Hero Art History. In the meantime, we'll be discussing Hero Work-Studies. In particular, you won't be choosing them, we've assigned an agency that you'll be at. None of you will be at the same agency, so don't expect to be buddied up with one of your peers." Mr. Aizawa told us.
I wonder who I was doing my studies with? Mr. Aizawa led us out to the P.E. Grounds and we all stood in a line. Various Pro Heroes chose us from the line, then it came down to me, but it didn't look like I was going with anyone! All of the Pros already selected one of us. It sounded like someone was standing behind me.

"Lock on with these sparkling gazes!" Mandalay smiled.
"We've come to lend a paw and help!" Ragdoll exclaimed.
"Coming out of nowhere..." Tiger muttered.
"Stingingly cute and catlike!" Pixie-Bob added.
They all posed, "Wild, Wild... Pussycats!"
"W-What?! No way! I'm doing my Work-Studies with you guys?!" I shouted.
"Yeah huh! That's right!" Mandalay confirmed.
"Holy hell this is really really exciting like you seriously couldn't believe how stoked I am to be working with you guys this is almost like a dream come true for me to be able to do rescues with all of you I mean come on this is probably a once in a life time thing-" I effused.
Tiger picked me up by my head as I kept rambling on about how excited I was.
"Is he normally like this?" He asked Mr. Aizawa.
"Yes, sometimes he is, I apologize." Mr. Aizawa sighed.
"Ooo! I love 'em already!" Pixie-Bob grinned.
Tiger sat me back down on the ground, "When are we starting these Work-Studies?"
"You'll be starting them today once school is over. You'll be reporting directly to your respective agencies. This will go on for quite some time, remember, the Sports Festival is also next week as well. So, I expect all of you to be using your Quirks to their upmost potential." Mr. Aizawa explained.
[Several Hours Later...]
I made my way towards the Wild, Wild Pussycats' Agency. I wasn't necessarily surprised to find that it was located nearby a mountain range. It definitely was nostalgic coming back to The Beast's Forest, this was the place that I first went Mode One at!
"Now, where would their agency be?" I muttered.
I saw a rather... Interesting looking building. It was shaped like the face of a cat with "PUSSYCATS" as a logo across the building's front. I guess they must've been really dedicated to this whole cat thing! I walked inside and was immediately greeted by a plethora of cat themed furniture.
"Heya! Glad you found your way here!" Ragdoll exclaimed.
"Ragdoll! Where's everyone else at?" I replied.
She blinked rapidly, "Oh, they're already up on the mountain! I suggest you hurry on up there."
"Alright, thank you, Ragdoll!" I smiled.
I left the agency and flew up towards one of the mountains. I didn't know that this place had a ski lodge! Maybe I should take Momo up here on a date sometime. I landed down in front of the lodge and walked inside.
"Hey! Did Ragdoll tell you to meet us up here? We definitely need all hands-on deck right now." Mandalay greeted.
"Uh huh! What are we gonna do today?" I responded.
She held up an armless teddy bear, "First things first, we need to repair this child's stuffed animal, do you think you could do that?"
"Of course!" I beamed.
Mandalay handed me the teddy bear and I knelt down to face the child who was sniffling.
"Hey, I can fix this, trust me. Do you happen to know where the other arm went?" I coaxed.
"I-It ripped when I fell down the stairs." She sniffled.
The girl reached into her pocket to show me the other arm. I held my hand out and she set it in my hand. I activated my Quirk and smiled at her.
"Watch this, it's a little magic trick my Dad taught me." I smiled.
I placed the arm on the teddy bear and twisted it around, I placed it correctly in the socket then quickly healed it. I blew on it and handed it back to her.
"Dojyaaan! There you go, good as new!" I chuckled.
Her eyes widened with joy as I handed her back the teddy bear. The little girl gave me a hug.
"Thank you so much, Mr. Braveheart!" She grinned.
The little girl ran over to her parents to show her the newly fixed teddy bear. I stood up and turned back to face Mandalay.
"Wow, I didn't think that any of you were good with kids. Color me impressed, you sure you aren't taking any babysitting gigs? I'm sure Kota would appreciate the company." She smiled.
"If it doesn't involve me getting hurt, I'll take it!" I laughed.
(I.R.P.: Listen to "You Say Run (Episode 5 Version)")
Pixie-Bob rushed into the lodge, "Mandalay, we've got a problem!"
"What? What is it?" Mandalay quickly responded.
"Avalanche!" Pixie-Bob shouted.
An avalanche?! We rushed outside and saw Tiger hauling people into the lodge. Dozens of people were running towards us. I darted out towards the oncoming avalanche, I didn't hear what Mandalay shouted at me, but I needed to stop this avalanche! I stood and watched as the avalanche came down, how would I stop this thing? Wait, the attack I used when I saved Momo from that giant! It was a wide spread shot of nothing but my Overdrive and it was completely derived from my legs!
I needed to do the same here! I closed my eyes and took a deep breath in and out. If I was gonna do this, I needed to do it just like Deku! I activated my Overdrive Quirk and put it solely in my legs! The wind blew fiercely around them as I charged up the attack. I had to wait for the perfect opportunity, and then, there it was! I jumped into the air and reeled my leg as far back as possible. Hopefully, my idea would work! I couldn't let this snow roll over the lodge!
"SMAAAAAAAAAAASH!!!" I roared.
The wave of Overdrive smashed into the avalanche, sending all of the snow into the air! That was awesome!
"I-I did it!" I smiled.
It began to snow over the ski lodge, I even uncovered some people who were trapped in the snow! I landed back down on the ground; I didn't even realize that the attack broke my leg! I guess using my Quirk in one part of my body isn't exactly good for me. I landed ass first in the snow and I heard the others run towards me.
"Holy hell, that was incredible! How'd you do that?" Pixie-Bob beamed.
Tiger helped me up to my feet, "You did a damn good job, kid. I've never seen anything like that before!"
"T-Thanks! Honestly, I didn't think that would work!" I laughed.
"Oh, your leg, it's broken! Tiger, take him inside." Mandalay instructed.
Tiger picked me up and headed towards the lodge. I honestly didn't think I'd be carried into a ski lodge by a buff dude dressed up like a cat, but I guess I can cross it off my bucket list. He sat me on one of the couches upstairs in a separate room from the rest of the lodge. I sat there by myself for a while, so I decided to use my telepathy to talk to someone.
"Baaaaabe... Can you hear me?" I asked Momo.
"Yes, darling, I can. Are you currently on some sort of break with the Pussycats?" Momo responded.
"Well, if you count stopping an avalanche and breaking your leg in the process as a break, then yes." I chuckled.
"Goodness gracious, just when I thought you could stay uninjured for one day..." She sighed.
"Hey! It's been a while since I've broken anything! Well, I gotta go, Mandalay's back. I love you bunches!" I told her.
"I love you bunches as well, Alyx!" Momo replied.
I sat up as Mandalay raised my leg up. She placed a splint on the back of my leg and wrapped it around my leg with bandages and gauze. Pixie-Bob entered the room with a rather large ice pack and something that I could use to keep my leg raised up.
"You honestly have no idea how much gratitude we have. If you weren't here, who knows how difficult this avalanche would've been!" Mandalay thanked.
I smiled at her comment, "Thank you!"
Luckily, I only fractured my right leg, so I didn't see any bone sticking out. The one thing I hated about getting injured was seeing a bone sticking out or something! About 15 minutes later, Annie walked into the room.
"Gee, I guess I can add 'Avalanche Denier' to your list of achievements." Annie remarked.
"Yeah, I guess so!" I giggled.
[20 Minutes Later...]
After another healing session from Annie, I continued my internship with the Pussycats. I stood outside of the lodge and surveyed the area. Someone came flying by.
"I CAN'T STOP!" I heard them shout.
"Good grief..." I sighed.
I activated Mode Three and chased after them. They had flown off the mountain thanks to a sudden cliff drop that was off to the side of the lodge. I quickly grabbed them and they were still screaming.
"Hey, take it easy! I've got you!" I reassured him.
"O-Oh, Braveheart! I didn't know that you were here! I was just wondering why I wasn't falling." He replied.
I carried him back to the lodge. Didn't they say not to go fast down the slope anyway? I brushed the snow off of him and he thanked me again for saving him. Honestly, this was probably the most relaxing internship I've ever had! I guess I do kind of deserve it. After about a few hours of wandering the ski lodge and making sure nobody was getting hurt or in danger, it was time for me to head home. I flew out of The Beast's Forest but I decided to walk the rest of the way home.
As I was walking, someone ran into me on accident. We both hit the ground and I helped them up.
"H-Hey, sorry, I guess I just have a habit of-" I stopped.
Tomikoa looked up at me, "Alyx? Where have you been? I haven't seen you since the Provisional License Exam."
Whaaaaat? Hold on, wait... I simply looked at her a blinked a couple of times. I helped her up but didn't say anything.
"Y-You've gotten... Stronger since then." She blushed.
She definitely looked older, about maybe a year, she was in Camie's class after all. Wait a minute, she hasn't seen me since the Provisional License Exam? Where has she been?
"Yeah... I have. Listen, let's walk and talk." I replied.
We walked down the street and she couldn't really look at me straight.
"So, where have you been?" I asked.
"Once I got home from the Provisional License Exam, I went to bed like normal, and had the weirdest dream. The thing was, I couldn't wake up from it. I just woke up maybe 15 minutes ago? All of this is so strange, people have been looking at me weird, I'm not sure why." Tomikoa explained.
We stopped at a crosswalk as it turned red, "Hey, you wanna grab something to eat and talk some more. I've got quite a bit to discuss."
"O-Oh... I-I... Okay!" She stuttered.
We found a little restaurant nearby and grabbed somethings to go. I flew up to the rooftop with her and we ate.
"So, this'll be a long story. I had fought you after you destroyed nearly the entire Shizuoka Prefecture. You got locked up in Tartarus afterwards." I told her.
"W-What? I did that?" Tomikoa lamented.
My thought was confirmed, whoever this was, was the real Tomikoa. It seems as if those dimensional rifts appeared much earlier than I thought. I placed my hand on her shoulder.
"You didn't do that, this'll sound confusing, but it was you from a different world. Trust me, a lot has happened since the Exam." I reassured her.
She looked down at the ground and didn't say anything.
"Is everything alright?" I asked.
Tears filled her eyes and she fell into me, "I hurt people, didn't I? That's why nobody would help me and that's why they ran away!"
Her tears dampened my school blazer, I hugged her and tried to calm her down. How was I supposed to explain this to everyone else? Her reputation was ruined by an impersonator of sorts. I slowly moved away from her and wiped the tears from her eyes.
"Listen, I'll do whatever it takes to make things right. This shouldn't have even happened to you. I promise that things'll get better for you, I'll make sure of that. I can take you home if you'd like." I smiled.
Her cries turned to sniffling as she stared at me and began to calm down. She nodded and I picked her up. We flew back to her home, thankfully I remembered where she lived! As we were flying, she leaned forward towards me.
"Hm? Is something-" I tried to ask.
She quickly kissed me and I stopped flying. We stayed there for a few moments before she stopped.
"Thank you, thank you so much." She quietly cooed.
"I... Y-You're welcome." I replied.
I made it back to her house and waited as she made it in her house alright. It was about 8:00, I'd imagine everyone was wondering where I was, Momo especially.
[1 Hour Later...]
I made it back to the dorms, the lights were off, which was honestly surprising. I walked into an empty common room; I went to the fridge to get something to drink. I got a bottle of Pocari Sweat, I've never had any of these before, I wonder what they taste like? I closed the fridge door.
"Where have you been?" Momo asked.
I nearly jumped out of my skin, "H-Holy shit! Please make some sort of noise next time, Momz!"
"Well? Where were you?" She restated.
"Okay, this is gonna sound completely nuts, but I was with Tomikoa." I responded.
I further explained what happened today and how I ran into her. I told her that the dimensional rifts must've appeared much earlier than what I originally thought.
"That's... Odd. So, there's one Tomikoa locked up in Tartarus and another that's not? This is rather strange, those rifts definitely have made things difficult to comprehend, but at least they're easy to explain." Momo told me.
"Yeah, so the one that's locked up belongs in a different time, and the other one belongs here. I'm not sure what to do about it." I replied.
Momo held my hand, "Let's not fret about it for now. I think it's time we head to bed."
