Ikelos' Fate I

What was waiting for Nox at what was now Hestia's place though, was something he never would have expected . . .

"Hello Nox-san! I'm the first member of the Hestia Familia. My name is Bella Cranel!"

A red eyed, white haired little beauty with a modest but curvy enough figure.

"Hestia . . ." Nox started.

"Yeeesss?" Hestia smugly responded.

"What is this overly cute, Al Miraj like creature!?" Nox questioned as he hugged and patted BElla.

Bella freaked out a little but was mostly embarrassed.

"Hello cutie, I'm just a suspicious person! Want a treat?" Nox said.

Watching Bella freak out over his teasing put Nox in a good mood so he let her go.

"Alright that's enough teasing for today." He said.

Bella breathe a sigh of relief.

"Whait . . . For today!?" She realized and Nox evilly smirked.

Meanwhile, a silver haired lady was watching the whole situation with great interest.

'What a curious young man . . .' She thought.

'But is he worthy of my Bella?' She continued to ponder.

*

Days later, Nox could be found lounging in one of his safehouses, wondering on how to expand his forces.

'There's no one good to recruit right now . . .' He thought to himself.

There were plenty of people he saw potential in and some even good enough to join as they were but none that were currently available

'Wait a minute . . .' Nox realized something.

'Why am I focused on getting people to join willingly. So long as a draw a full proof magical contract and force them to sign it, then even people who are not trustworthy will become viable for recruitment.' It occurred to him.

'I wanted to investigate Knossos and the folk within it, mainly what to do with them but with this . . . Maybe I can make the whole Artificial Labyrinth mine . . .' He considered.

'First though . . . A few preparations. Preparations I was in no condition to make before but can do so now.' Nox evilly smirked as he thought about what he actually planned to do.

The preparations, were a little upgrade to Nox's garden of agony as he would be undertaking this mission as Red. His targets the Ikelos and Thanatos Familias, the former first and, if successful in that endeavour, the latter as well.

First though, he had too meet the Freya Familia on the 50th floor. Well, Nox's Heavenly Aspect had to anyways.

*

". . ."

Nox's Heavenly Aspect was currently observing the members of the Freya familia enjoy the facilities, farming a bit on the 51th floor, selling and buying stuff and just overall being good tenants of his Fortress Town.

'To be honest, I was expecting them to be arrogant assholes and give me a good excuse to spank them but they've been model customers so I wouldn't want to soil my reputation by picking a fight with them.' Nox thought to himself.

'Still . . . This means I unfortunately can not use them for my big Level Up fight.' He pondered with disappointment.

'At least I've got a few very satisfied looking high profile customers I guess.' Nox tried to look on the bright side of things but still could not shake the shadow of disappointment all that well.

Back to his other plans about the Ikelos and Thanatos Familias, it took Nox about a month to manage to perform the enhancement he desired correctly but fortunately, it worked quite well, or at least he thought it did as it required a god to test it and this was something he was not planning on telling even Loki.

During said month, things did not change much but there were a few happenings. Namely, a few changes with Bella and Filvis.

In the former's case, it was all good. Nox built rapport with the newbie adventurer, gave her some tips and a basic set of equipment, enough to set her on the path but not enough she'd grow over reliant before forming her own fighting style.

It was the latter where the problem laid. Filvis was growing distant but not over dislike. No, it was due to loving Nox, more intensely than he even realized that Filvis though she should not taint him by being close together and, despite Nox's attempts at getting what was wrong out of her, she denied that anything was wrong at all.

This was both due to her loyalty to her god, Dionysus and the fear that Nox would grow to hate her or be disgusted by her.

Filvis preferred Nox would think she died, fading away somewhere than finding out she was a monster, nay, an aberration worse than one and being disgusted by her. She wanted to protect the image she thought he held of her.

Nox was left wondering what to do about her but for the moment, he had the Ikelos Familia to test his new and improved toy on.

WIth the Daedalus Orb obtained from his Earthly Aspect's first rampage, of the time Nox had dubbed it the Beast and thought of it as a separate entity, he infiltrated Knossos in an area he knew was mostly used by the Ikelos Familia and not the Thanatos Familia

Creeping through Knossos' halls, covered by his Invictus shade and equipped with his gear from when he acted incognito, Nox scoped the man made dungeon with his Spirit Pulse, finding traces and tracking the Ikelos Familia's members through its labyrinthian design.

When he finally caught their tail, he found the having a little meeting, much to his delight. After ll, it seemed that most of the remaining members of the Ikelos Familia he hadn't killed were there and Ikelos, despite only standing around with a scummy grin and not participating in the meeting, was actually there for Nox to test his upgraded Garden of Agony on.

Drawing his Overlord's Edge, it was game on.

Nox summoned a bunch of Spartoi without revealing himself and chaos ensued.

Many of the lower leveled and unprepared members of the Ikelos Familia got mobbed and slayed by the savage skeletons.

Dix had a bad feeling but he couldn't let his goons get killed just like that.

In exchange for having his status massively lowered from a peak Level 5 to a peak Level 4, he cast his curse, Phobetor Daedalus, which bewitched all the Spartoi, making them fight each other.

After that, his subordinates took advantage and began dismantling the monsters but Nox Jumped out of the shadows and swung Overlord's Edge at Dix.

Nox was already stronger than Dix but with his status lowered there was no way for him to properly react to Nox's attack, resulting in a swift and brutal decapitation.
