Loki's Worries

Left without any choice in the matter by a furious Loki, Riveria smuggled the red haired goddess into the Dungeon, teleporting right into the heart of Nox's fortress on the Dungeon's 50th floor through the gates he had set up.

Nox who had slightly healed and could already used simple stuff like Spirit Pulse to sense what was going on beyond the walls of his panacea tank room, immediately noticed her marching straight towards his room.

'Loki, the hell!?' He was first shocked.

Then, noticing the less than friendly expression on her face, he swiftly turned to his current guard detail.

"Naaza, Ryuu. An angry Loki is currently heading this way, I suggest you step outside so as to not get caught in the crossfire." Nox said.

Naaza and Ryuu looked at each other and then turned back to Nox.

"We'll stay." They said and Nox could only sigh in response.

Soon afterwards, Loki burst into the room with an apologetic Riveria behind her as the high elfess knew it was her particular explanation of events that triggered her goddess.

"Confess yer sins and the punishment will be lighter!" Loki shouted as soon as her eyes locked in Nox in his tank.

"Uhh? What sins?" Nox asked.

"Don't ya dare play dumb!" Loki exclaimed.

"It's not like that! I mean . . . You'll have to be a bit more specific." Nox said making Loki freeze.

"After all, I don't want to admit to more than I precisely have to." He added with a self righteous look.

After a moment of silence . . . Loki exploded.

"Just how much sacrilegious crap have ya been doing!? I swear I'll get inside that tank and beat the shit out of ya!" The red haired goddess clamored.

"Sacreligious? Ahh!" Nox showed a look of realization.

"Then you must mean my use of Divine Energy yes?" He had realized what sin Loki was probably referring to specifically.

"So that was indeed what ya pulled off!" Loki had already suspected but getting confirmation was something else entirely.

Nox was infringing upon the domain of the gods far to easily and far too carelessly.

"Do you understand the consequences of this!?" Loki questioned with exasperation.

"I'm feeling some of them right now." Nox grinned.

Loki just sighed.

"I have no idea what ta do with ya." She was on the brink of giving up on trying to safeguard Nox form his own crazy ideas.

By then though, the other three girls in the room had finally caught up and Riveria was the first to express herself.

"Divine Energy?" She asked in disbelief, having a very clear and very frightening idea on what that term meant.

"Yep!" Nox proudly replied.

"The very juice that powers a god's Arcanum, their Divine Power, grasped by yours truly! Though my mastery of is far from adequate." He added in explanation.

The three girls froze at the sheer unbelievability of the matter. A human grasing a god's divine right was no joke and even they could imagine what sort of terrifying consequences such an act would bring.

Loki hated how smug he looked when he bragged about his achievement. It was definitely something worth bragging about if not for the massive target it would paint on him. The gods would not take kindly to someone so dead set of infringing upon their domain.

"Next thing I know, ya'll be talkin' 'bout making Arcanums and finding ways to murder gods ya don't like." Loki shoo her head in exasperation.

And seeing this, Nox couldn't resist.

"Actually, I have a very concrete plan for the first while I already have developed a means to accomplish the second, I simply lack the required amount to Divine Energy to use said means to a level where the destruction of a Divine Soul becomes possible." He informed.

The three girls present could no longer formulate any thoughts before the smashing truth Nox just revealed.

"Why can't you just be an absurdly talented adventurer and not such a sacreligious bastard?" Loki lamented.

"You could just hit Level 10 and become a true immortal Demigod and I wouldn't have to worry about outliving ya and we would live happily ever after, perhaps lettin' Hephaestus in on the joy too if I was feeling up for it." She continued.

"But noooooo! Ya just had to lay your hands on divine energy before the time came and figure out ways to murder gods, something which even gods themselves have an hard time doing, probably just to pass time and because it seemed like a good challenge." Loki clamored.

Loki was almost crying.

"Do ya even understand what would happen if this got out?" She asked.

"I know ya must have taken any and all measures so that it wouldn't. Y'er careful when it comes to stuff like that but do you know what would happen if those measures happened to fail?" Loki questioned.

"Uuuuh?" Nox didn't' really know how to deal with a crying Lokiu whose worry drove pang after pang of guilt through his heart.

"A god, any god or goddess would bite the bullet and use his or her divine power to annihilate ya, body and soul at the cost of being sent back to Heaven and being given some worthless punishment!" Loki shouted.

"No matter how good ya think you are, the rules mean so long as any god is willing to bear the proper punishment, they can annihilate ya without any measure of actual effort! And yer "achievements" will make any number of them more than willing!" She explained.

"Do you understand my worries!?" Loki shoute in the end, truly crying in despair.

After all, how long until one slip made every single one of Nox's crazy deeds come crashing down on top of his head?
