Episode 4 - Renewal of The Daleks - Part 2

Previously: The Doctor and the team returned to Skaro, where The Doctor met the generation of Thals after Alydon and Dyoni, where their child Temmosus Jr had become the leader. Temmosus' girlfriend, Petra had a sister called Oprah, Oprah and Greg were captured after a Dalek attack on the Thal camp killed Davio and many other Thals. Maya, Temmosus, Petra and Katrep managed to escape, where it was up to them to save Greg and Oprah. But not only that, The Doctor was reunited with Davros, who was responsible for the creation of the new Daleks.

Wind howls inside of a forest, a small animal crawls up a tree. Footsteps are heard running through the forest. Four people are seen running through the forest, where it becomes visible that it's Maya, Temmosus, Petra and Katrep. Maya then stops to take a deep breath and she goes "how much further?" Temmosus then goes "not too far, if we keep up with the speed we're going, we'll be there by nightfall" Maya then nods as she tries to catch her breath.

Katrep looks at Petra "maybe we should take a rest?" Petra shakes her head "we've been running for two days, we need to get there, who knows what they've already done to them".

A vibration sound is heard coming from a metal corridor. It's a Silver and Black Dalek who has food on a trap, holding onto it with its plunger. The Dalek moves up to a door, and it opens.

Inside, is a small room where The Doctor, Greg and Oprah are. The Dalek then goes "take the food" The Doctor stands up, but The Dalek then goes "stop, the human will!" The Doctor looks at Greg. Greg then nods "whatever". Greg walks up to The Dalek and takes the tray of food.

The Doctor then goes "how much longer are we going to be kept here?" The Dalek goes "until Davros is ready to talk" The Doctor nods as The Dalek then exits the room, shutting the door.

Inside the command centre, Davros sits in his chair as the Silver and Gold Supreme Dalek enters "Davros, what news is there?" Davros then goes "the bomb is almost ready, and soon this planet will be ready" a Dalek enters the room and goes "the prisoners have been fed" Davros nods "good, it won't be long, and then we will need The Doctor's help" The Supreme Dalek goes "The Dalek's have never needed The Doctor" Davros nods "his sonic device is the only thing strong enough to power up this machine, without the device, we won't be able to detonate the bomb".

A light flashes down a cave. Outside the cave, Maya stands with everyone else. Maya goes "how deep do we have to go in?" Temmosus goes "not too far, as you head in, you'll see a ladder going downwards, that will lead you into the Dalek sewers, I don't know how, but I'm almost certain you'll find an entrance into wherever they're keeping your friends and Oprah" Maya goes "your not coming?" Temmosus shakes his head "I care for my people, but she is one, and there were many people who ran from the execution back at our camp, I have to find those people".

(Commercial Break)

Water drips onto the floor, Maya then jumps down, onto the floor, into the Dalek Sewers.

Maya points a torch down both ways to check if it's clear. Maya then whispers "come on down".

Katrep and Petra both jump down together and Petra goes "which way?" Katrep looks around and he goes "let's head this way" Maya looks at him and she nods "alright". Petra follows them.

Back in the cell, Oprah sits on a small chair waiting and she goes "why haven't they killed us yet?" Greg looks at her as The Doctor goes "this is oddly familiar to a time I was here before, and that time, The Daleks needed my help, so they kept me alive, that's probably why we're alive" Oprah then goes "they'll kill us afterwards, won't they? After you've helped them" The Doctor smiles "what makes you think I'm going to help them?" Greg looks at The Doctor nervously.

The Doctor stands there until the door opens up and a Dalek is there "The Doctor will follow me" The Doctor nods at him "about time" The Doctor smiles at Oprah "I told you" as The Doctor goes to walk out, he looks at Greg and whispers "get ready" Greg nods at him "yeah, I know".

The Doctor walks out with The Dalek, and Oprah looks at Greg "what did he mean?" Greg goes "I don't know, but I know he has a plan, he always has a plan" Oprah nods and she smiles at him.

Walking through the sewer, Maya looks at Petra "I'm sorry about Temmosus" Petra looks at her "I'm not mad, he's right, many others got out, and he needs to find them, but I have a duty of care, she's my younger sister, and I'll always look out for her" Maya smiles "you sound like Greg".

Suddenly vibrations are heard coming from above, and as Maya stops, she hears The Doctor's voice. Maya then whispers "guys!". Petra and Katrep both stop and listen, Maya then goes "they're above us" Katrep nods "but how we do we get up there?" Maya looks at him.

Greg sits beside Oprah who is looking nervous. Greg then goes "you need to act a little more confident if we're getting out soon" Oprah looks at him and she smiles "sorry, I'm scared" Greg nods "me too, but we're getting out, focus on something else" Oprah stares at him "like what?" Greg then smiles "my extremely good looks" Oprah nods "I suppose that does distract me".

As Maya and the others stand in the sewers she stops as a small glimmer of light flashes through the floor. Maya then smiles "here!" Katrep runs over and he looks at it "this will come off with force" Petra then nods "well, you're the male, get to it then" Maya smiles at her.

(Commercial Break)

Walking into the command centre with two Daleks behind him, The Doctor looks at Davros. Davros looks at him "Doctor, it's time for you to help us" The Doctor stares at Davros "how?" Davros goes "we must activate the bomb" The Doctor stares at him "what bomb?" Davros then points at a control panel and The Doctor runs over to it, looking at the readings on the computer.

The Supreme Dalek sits watching The Doctor, as other Daleks also sit watching him.

The Doctor then turns around and goes "but this is a global radiation bomb, Davros...if you're thinking of doing what I think you're trying to do-" Davros nods "yes Doctor, it is" The Doctor stares at him "you're trying to mutate every living thing on this planet" Davros goes "The Daleks are in smaller numbers, smaller than they've ever been, it's time to bring every living creature to us, and place them into a metal casing, and to become a Dalek, one of my children" The Doctor shakes his head "nothing out there is anything like you, everything outside of here wants to live in peace!" The Supreme Dalek then goes "Dalek's don't believe in peace, peace is a weakness!" The Doctor scoffs "you really believe that?" Davros looks at The Doctor "you know us, Doctor, you know that we do" The Doctor stands there looking at all the Daleks in the command centre.

Katrep bursts through the roof panelling, causing a metal floorboard to break open. Katrep pulls himself up, into the metal corridor, helping Maya and Petra up, Maya looks around and she smiles "we got in, oh my god" Petra then nods "now it's time to move, it won't take The Daleks long before they realise we're here" Maya then looks over at a door and she nods "over here".

Greg and Oprah sit together as their door then opens, and as the two of them watch the door open, they then see Maya, Petra and Katrep. Maya then smiles "oh my god! GREG!". Greg jumps up, running towards Maya, and the two of them hug. Petra then smiles as Oprah runs over to her, hugging her. Katrep stands watching them. Katrep then looks back outside of the cell and he goes "guys, we should get moving, before-".

Suddenly, an alarm starts to blare off. Maya lets go of Greg and she looks around nervously. Petra then takes Oprah's hand and she goes "we need to go, back to the sewers and through the cave". Maya, Petra, Greg, Oprah and Katrep start running through the corridors.

(Commercial Break)

As the alarm blares off in the command centre, a Dalek then moves towards the control panel and says "prisoners have escaped cell block three" another Dalek then says "three other life forms detected, and are heading towards the underground" Davros then looks around nervously "the cave, they're trying to escape! CAPTURE THEM!". The Supreme Dalek goes "EXTERMINATE THEM!". The Doctor watches as Dalek's start to leave the control room. The Doctor sees his sonic screwdriver on Davros' chair and The Doctor whispers to himself "in good time Doctor".

Maya, Greg, Petra, Oprah and Katrep stand in the sewers together. Maya then smiles "we got out" Greg nods at her "but without The Doctor" Maya goes "we need to regroup with The Thals then we can attack The Daleks together, it's our bes-".

An explosion then goes off in the distance, and smoke fills the cave, everyone looks around nervously as the voice of Daleks is then heard, as many Daleks start to shout "SEEK, LOCATE ANNIHILATE" another Dalek says "SEEK, LOCATE, DESTROY" and another Dalek says "SEEK, LOCATE, EXTERMINATE". Maya then looks around in shock until she then says "run". Oprah lets go of Petra's hand and she says "what?" Maya then screams "RUN!". Everyone starts running.

The Doctor stands watching Davros until he then leaps towards Davros, The Supreme Dalek shouts "STOP THE DOCTOR!". But The Doctor grabs his sonic screwdriver and aims it at the control panel "anyone shoots, I blow the bomb up, killing us all, anyone wants that to happen?". Davros then laughs "you won't, you'd kill yourself" The Doctor nods "kill me to save my friends, I think I would" Davros stares at The Doctor. The Doctor goes "call off your Daleks in the sewers, or I destroy all of you" Davros sits glaring at The Doctor, who points his sonic screwdriver.

Water drips inside a cold, dark and scary sewer. Footsteps are heard running, as Maya and Greg run inside the sewer together, holding hands. Maya steps into a puddle, as she continues to run, but is very panicked. Maya looks at Greg "quick! They're coming!". Greg then turns around as the sound of vibrating comes from behind. Maya looks at him "what are you doing?" Greg goes "we've got nowhere else to run" Maya turns around with tears in her eyes as she then looks at a Silver and Black Dalek behind her. The Dalek looks at them "EXTERMINATE!!".

(Commercial Break)

Petra, Oprah, and Katrep stand together at a dead end and they all look in shock as two Daleks appear behind them screaming "EXTERMINATE, EXTERMINATE". Katrep then looks at Petra "I'm sorry" Petra then looks at him in tears "we tried" Oprah then looks around at The Daleks, as one of The Daleks then says "EXTERMINATE" and The Dalek shoots Oprah. Petra screams "NO!".

As Maya and Greg stand together, and The Dalek gets closer, The Dalek points its gun at Greg. Maya watches in shock, until The Dalek turns away from them, moving away, and returning to the command centre. Maya looks at Greg "what happened?" Greg smirks "The Doctor, maybe?".

Stood inside the command centre, The Doctor smiles at Davros "thank you" Davros goes "now, remove the sonic device from the control panel, and help us" The Doctor looks at him.

Maya and Greg rejoin Petra and Katrep who stand looking at Oprah's body. Greg shakes his head in shock "but they left us alone?" Petra looks at him "they got a shot just before" Katrep looks at them "we need help carrying her back to the surface, we'll rejoin with Temmosus" Greg nods.

Humming comes from within The Dalek command centre, as The Doctor is still stood holding his sonic screwdriver towards the control panel, trying to think of a way to escape. The Doctor sees as more Dalek's enter the control room and he goes "so, what happens to me if I let go of this?" The Supreme Dalek then goes "you will be EXTERMINATED" The Doctor smiles "right, might be a good reason for me to just stay pointing my sonic then". The Doctor looks around nervously until a beeping sound goes off on the control panel, and as The Doctor reads what's on the control panel, his face then sparks into a smile "oh, you lot are very brave". Davros stares at him.

Suddenly, Temmosus, Maya, Greg, Petra, Katrep and many other Thals run into the command centre holding spears, and home-crafted weapons. The Supreme Dalek starts to turn on the spot screaming "WHAT IS HAPPENING?!" Davros then looks around in shock "DOCTOR!".

The Doctor watches as Daleks are pushed into rooms, and the doors are shut, and some Dalek has spears through their eyestalks. The Doctor looks at Davros, who has his hand out, wanting help. The Doctor stares at Davros "sorry Davros, not this time". Davros watches in shock.

The Doctor runs over to Maya and Greg, and the three of them form a group hug.

(Commercial Break)

Sat around a campfire, The Doctor, Maya, Greg, Temmosus, Petra, Katrep and many other surviving Thals all sit around a campfire eating. The Doctor smiles "we did it again Temmosus, stopping The Daleks-" The Doctor then looks at Petra "I'm sorry we couldn't save your sister" Petra nods at him "me too" Temmosus looks at Petra and he puts his hand on hers "we'll live on, and we'll remember her" Petra smiles at him "thanks" Temmosus leans in and kisses Petra.

The Doctor then stands up "we'd best be off now" Temmosus stands up too, and he shakes The Doctor's hand "thank you for everything, I truly mean that, my father really meant his words" The Doctor smiles and he then looks at Maya and Greg "meet me back at the Tardis".

Maya stands looking at Katrep and she hugs him "you were a big help in saving my brother, and I'll be forever grateful for that" Katrep smiles at her "be safe" Maya nods "you too".

Maya then walks over to Temmosus and she goes "I'm not sure if it was cowardness, but you should have been down in those sewers with us, maybe Oprah would still be alive, that's on you" Temmosus stands there staring at her, Maya then waves at Petra, and she walks off to the Tardis.

Greg finally stands with Petra "I really liked your sister, we got along well, I didn't know her long, but I know she was amazing, and I trust that you will live on for her, do her proud" Petra smiles and she hugs Greg "thank you" Greg smiles, and he waves at Temmosus and Katrep as he leaves.

Entering the Tardis, Greg then shuts the door behind him and he falls on the floor. Maya looks at him "I could do that, I'm exhausted" The Doctor nods "well, now you have finally met The Daleks" Maya nods "you were right, they're terrifying" The Doctor nods "yes they are".

Greg then goes "Doctor, I think I need a rest, can we go home?" The Doctor smiles "sure we can".

The Doctor pulls the dematerialisation lever and The Tardis starts to lift off from Skaro.

In the Thal camp, Temmosus stands watching as everyone starts to rebuild their tents.

Petra then walks up to him "Katrep did a scout around the city, he thinks The Daleks will be trapped for a while before they escape, but we'll keep an eye on them" Temmosus nods "yes we will" Petra then goes "Temmosus? I need to tell you something" Temmosus then looks at her and Petra smiles "I'm pregnant" Temmosus stands there holding her hand, and he smiles.

Next Time:

A massive metal spaceship in the shape of a circle lays in the middle of the forest, smoke pours out of a window that has smashed. A big hatch is at the top of the spaceship, but it's open.

Kathy steps onto a crunch leaf as she walks into a forest with The Doctor. Kathy goes "look, we've searched this place a dozen times, you're not going to find anything different than what we have".

The Doctor looks around and he goes "so, the missing people leave their vehicles on the side of the road, and you find footprints that lead into the forest, there has to be something, people just don't disappear with no reason".

Suddenly, there's a low evil growl from behind them. The Doctor and Kathy turn around, and Kathy and The Doctor stare at a creature that's almost eight-foot-tall. Kathy then goes "what is that?".

The Doctor goes "they are carnivores, even cannibals, anything with meat on its bone, it could strip it all, and devour every last piece of meat" Kathy stares at him "so, it's dangerous?".

The Doctor then runs to the side of the cockpit "OI! OVER HERE" The creature takes a step towards The Doctor, and he growls at him.

Kathy screams "DOCTOR!".

Next Time - The Missing - Dropping Maya and Greg back at home, The Doctor finds himself joining detective Kathy Yates when a concerning report about missing people near a certain forest is revealed. The Doctor and Kathy discover a cabin in the woods, where a creature lives.
