A different body

After a long time in the carriage, all spent in the talk about that girl, we eventually arrived at our destination.

Adyol court is a huge building with long stairs. The building is white and golden in colour. The borders at the top part were covered in real gold as a symbol of Adyol court. At the side of the staircase, there was a statue of a dragon on each side. Both had eyes of precious gems. One on right had pink eyes and one on left had blue eyes. They both looked like they will move as soon as I blink my eye.

As soon as we finished climbing the stairs, we come across 2 guards guarding the entrance. They stared at me for a moment then let me be. As we walk through the hall it was like we were walking through the halls of the palace and not the court. There were paintings placed all over the wall and it was like Armours were protecting them. As we reached the counter, I noticed many people were here for slave contracts. And there were no adyols of my age. There were slaves of my age group but no adyols.  Is that why the guards were staring at me??

"Hello, down to the earth Fenny.  We're here. " Adlmund whispered in my ear.

Fylara opened the doors as I prepared myself to enter the room. The strange sound of humming came from inside as I stopped Fylara in midway.

"We should knock first."

I'm pretty sure I said nothing unusual for  Fylara to give me surprise, 'but why' kind of looks.

I grip tightly on her skirt to argue her to knock and give her 'you have to 'look.

She finally agreed to knock. As she prepared to knock she mustered up all the force like she was going to break the door in the process. Of course, I again stopped her.

"This is not how you knock," I said as I proceed to knock. I knocked gently but loud enough for people inside to hear it.

He stopped humming as soon as he heard the knock after a moment a strict voice came from inside.  " Come in"

I finally opened the door. Inside was a man with short dark blue hair and glasses. He had a shocked expression on his face.  He looked at me for a moment then looked at Adlmund then looked at me then looked at Fylara then looked at me again.

"You are really, really shocked aren't you??" As always Adlmund started.

"Well yes, at first I didn't know you guys could knock. And second, you didn't tell me you had a son!!."

"That's what we are here for!! He is Phoenix, in short Fenny, we want to adopt him."

"Adopt?? but he looks so much like you guys !!"

I was shocked when I heard that. I saw a mirror in the corner of the office. I gradually approached the mirror. I stand right in front of the mirror and watched my image. I just realised I had dark black hair like Fenny and light peach coloured eyes like Fylara. Now that I think about it I don't have any burned marks on my body. Just what happened to me?? And if this is not my real looks then how do I looked like when I was with my real mom and dad??

"It seems like I didn't tell you about it, did I??"

"Don't say it so casually." I scolded. "Did you changed my looks??"

"Look Fenny, I know I changed your look without your permission. But I mean no harm. When I found you, you were burned in many parts of your body. So to raise the probability of you living I had to change your cell. So I bought a transforming pill."

"Is there even a thing like that??"

"Yes! One of my friends made it but he doesn't plan on selling it right now. So nobody knows of it. "

"Victor made it, makes sense I guess.  So did you gave him the picture you made imagining your son would look like. "

"Picture??"

"Yes ever since we were married, he has been drawing about how our children would look like. But he has stopped since he was too busy at war and now we have you. "

'Of course, I forgot this family is officially weird!!' just a second ago I was angry at him for changing my face and not even telling me but now how can I even get angry at him. I felt really embarrassed about it.

I bowed my head 'I am sorry 'was what I was going to say but before I could say that Adlmund hugs me and whisper in my ear," don't be sorry. There's nothing you need to be sorry about!!"

I didn't know what to say so I just hugged him back. He carried me to the desk and sat on the chair.  Before I knew it, I was on his lap.

"So where were we ,ah...Yes you said that you want to adopt him."

"Yes!"

"Then I'll get the papers. Wait for me."

After a while, he came in with the papers. " Write the child's name over  here and we need both of your sign. Adl's at the left and Fylara at the right. You need to do this at these three papers. "

After some time all the paper works finally finished.

"Congratulations Fenny!!, now you are officially the member of lonam family. From now onwards you will be known as Phoenix lonam. "

"Thank you, um...sir!!"

"Oh how rude of me!! Let me introduce myself,  I am Devlin bojor. I am your father, Adl's old friend so if you need anything or have some problems with your dad you can come to me."

I nodded my head understanding.

"Why do you think I will cause problems, Dev!!!"

"Probably cause you always do!!!"

" No  I don't!!"

"Thank you, sir Devlin. If there's something  I'll come for sure.

After some time of being dressing toy for my mother and shop ladies.  We finally arrived at 'Magic examine hall.'
