Odin had two brothers Villi and Ve the first gods to ever be born by the giants Borr and Bestla. After years of living amongst the giants, the three brothers were bothered by the fact that giants outnumbered the gods. The giants kept on conceiving new giants. The only solution they could see was to kill Ymir; the first giant to ever walk the realms, he was born when the air of Niflheim and Muspelheim met, the fire melted the ice and it began to drip, some of the ice started to take shape of a humanoid creature and was called a 'jotunn' also called a giant.
One fateful night, the brothers attacked Ymir in his sleep and a horrifying battle began. Using all their strength, the brothers managed to kill Ymir. The blood of Ymir spouted out and most of the giants drowned in a flood of blood. Only two giants survived the massacre and fled away to the land of mist, Bergelmir and his wife all the future giants descended from this couple.
The three brothers dragged Ymir's body towards the center of a place called Ginnungagap, this is the place where they created the world from the remains of Ymir and that place today is known as the World Forge.
In these modern times, the Word forge had changed from mountains and forests to mountains cities, and forests. It was the busiest place in the nine realms. With traders from other worlds, dwarfs and constructions, elves doing all sorts of stuff. But there was also one thing everything there was expensive, meaning Nobles or very rich creatures stayed there. The world forge's greatest treasure was the Bifyre Express. A high-speed train that used a rainbow to travel anywhere in the nine realms.
Ellen's orb appeared in some alley downtown and spit the three of them out with only Ron landing on the ground. His stomach suddenly felt very weird after the journey he reached for the first trash he saw, went on his knees and stuffed it in his head, then burfed
"Hey, what's your problem?" a tiny green creature with a very slim body and very large pointed ears called him from down,
Ron looked at it. "Yes…sir," he spoke lazily then stuffed his head back into the trash can and continued,
"Oh, come on that's my trash can…" the creature complained as it pointed at the trash can Ron was on. it sounded like an old angry woman and its voice was loud and piercing.
"Am sorry, sir, this is his first time teleporting using a lunar orb."Ellen apologized,
The creature hadn't yet noticed the beautiful silver-haired girl standing in front of him. Its cheeks turned red and a huge smile grew on its face, "It's okay beautiful anything for you beautiful." it sounded excited which made Nathan almost want to laugh at her.
Ron finally stood up. And cleaned the small vomit that had got on his shirt. "We are finally back in Ginnungagap, I have missed this place." he began.
Nathan stared at him like he had said something wrong.
"What?"
"You've never been here, you're a fourteen-year-old kid from Mayfield Canada," Nathan said.
"Oh, yes." Ron nodded, "I have no idea how that got out of my mouth."
"Anyway, "Ellen turned to the creature and grabbed it. "Where are we?" she asked the tiny creature.
"You're in Yondu district, downtown, please don't kill me.." it begged,
"Where is the nearest route to the Bifyre train station?" Ellen asked,
The creature pointed to its left with its ugly thin finger. They all stepped out of the alley and turned to see where it had pointed, to their surprise they had landed just a few meters away from the train station.
Ellen felt embarrassed mainly because she was supposed to be the smartest of the three. She put the tiny creature down, "We are sorry for any inconvenience, we may have caused you, sir," she said.
"Inconvenience? You just put dirty stuff in my trash can do you know how much that trash can cost me, three silver coins can you believe that?" it yelled pointing at Ron, "I will burn you boy, and feed you to the demons that patrol that station you…"
"Okay man, we get it you're pissed," Nathan interrupted the creature, "Here's a gold coin and you can buy yourself a bigger trashcan." he then handed over a gold coin which was the size of a plate when It reached the creature's hands. Its voice went down, "Oh, thank you, good sir, I can tell you are from Asgard."
"Yes, I am. Meaning that coin is of more value here, so tell us about the demons patrolling the station and your name," Nathan said.
The creature's ears fell and its eyes widened as it stared at them wondering if it could trust them. It hugged the coin and then sighed after realizing that it needed the money.
"My name is," --he paused-- "Ginsu, I am a trash goblin,"
"Okay Ginsu the trash goblin, what is going on?"
"I am not sure but a bunch of godslayers and fire demons showed up yesterday and now they initiated tight security and a full checkpoint before you get on the train'
"They may be working with Nightrise, It's very hard to get fire demons and godslayers in the place," Nathan said. "Meaning they are expecting Ron. We have to find another way."
"The other way is by the Bifrost Nathan, getting to Jotunheim will take us weeks," Ellen argued. "I have an idea." she pulled her bag from the back then settled it on the ground, then pulled out a mechanical cockroach.
"What is that?" Ginsu asked after seeing the shiny thing in her hand,
"I'm not sure, but it will do the trick," she whined the key on its back and then released it. The cockroach moved and started splitting into two, then three, then four, and continued splitting into more until it was a whole swarm heading for the station.
Ellen smirked, watching the cockroaches disappear into the station walls. "Thank you Hephaestus," she muttered silently.
Suddenly the station lights went off and that was their signal. Ellen drew out her bow and then led the way. They sneaked into the station through the unguarded entrance.
She spotted a fire demon then fired an arrow and it disintegrated instantly on impact. It was dark and very difficult to see, but Ellen was the moon goddess this was nothing.
Ron was nervous. He didn't know how to summon the sword at all. Hence if they caught him here his giant food. He couldn't believe this was all Nightrise, the company that funded his mom and him all these years after his father's death. The person who would check on him was a white large man the head of the company but after hearing all this he was starting to believe that rise was evil along with that man.
They reached the middle and Nathan quickly sensed something was off. He pushed both Ellen and Ron behind him and then formed a dome of light right above them. Explosions followed when multiple fireballs were fired from almost all directions aiming at them.
Ron was trembling each time he saw a fireball hit the dome of light covering them.
"Ellen anytime now would be great," Nathan yelled trying to hold the thing together.
"Now," Ellen called out then Nathan powered down the dome. She then whistled and all the metallic cockroaches vibrated so fast that time slowed down instantly.
Ron opened his eyes, and time was moving slowly. "Wow.." his mouth dropped open from watching the fireball approach him in slo-mo.
"They are called Kronos Roaches," Nathan said. "An invention by the blacksmith god. Very helpful but can only be used once. I said we use them in case the dragon wakes up before we reach the elder spring."
"We didn't have a choice," Ellen said, her bow vanished. Let's get on the train first we will worry about all this later." she sounded very serious, "Let's not forget I didn't plan to tag you along, so don't question my actions."
Nathan chuckled and then head for the train.
Ron was still staring not knowing what to say at Ellen, "The roaches were my idea to bring them along. Nathan just happened to see one crawl out of my bag and suggested that we use them on the dragon. So don't think I planned with him behind your back." Ellen said to him then continued to the train.
Ron remembered that Ellen can have glimpses of the future meaning she might have seen this coming and saw that the only way they could have escaped this is if she used the roaches. He didn't want to ask but something kept on telling him that is the reason why she did so.
He followed till they were all inside and had taken their seats. Then time resumed.
