Into Nelfheim

Ron looked up, then ran forward, he jumped so high using all his strength, and immediately got picked up by the griffin. They both flew towards the giant. The giant was huge and its body looked like frozen water from up close. He tightened his grip on the sword's handle as the griffin started to fly through the strong blizzard of snow surrounding the giant. They flew a bit higher into the clouds and around the giant to attack from its blind side.

He slowly stood on the griffin's back once he noticed that they were now closer to the giant. He then collected every ounce of courage he had left in his body and then jumped with his sword aiming for the giant's eye.

Unfortunately, It noticed him, then used the wind to blow him out of the way, but Ron was surprised when he found out that he was now in the air flying while the ring he had put on his finger now glowed gold. It seemed it had granted him the ability to fly.

"This is awesome," he thought, then squeezed his hand confidently into a flew and then flew towards the giant targeting the chest. He increased speed, then landed a punch accompanied by a massive amount of strength that sent the mighty being a few steps back before regaining its balance.

Ron needed to hold the giant back and if possible, buy Nathan enough time to knock out Ellen and bring her up. Then they escape when the giant was down. This would have been a perfect time, but Nathan wasn't out yet.

The giant roared in pain. Ron had cracked its icy chest, meaning it was damaged, it ran towards him. Ron focused all his energy and then unleashed his full strength when h flew down and punched the ice under both of them. The feel of his fist meeting the ice was so strong that it destroyed the entire frozen lake. And leading the giant into falling through and into the cold waters. Not most of its body fell through, but every time it tried climbing up the remaining iced surface, it would instantly break.

Nathan then jumped out from the other side with Ellen unconscious in his arms. The first thing that shocked him was the exposed lake. And the destruction, Ron had caused. He wanted to ask what happened, but he saw the giant that was struggling to swim in the ice and chose not to ask any further questions.

The griffin landed and they quickly climbed on it and then flew to the gates that led to the land of mist and ice.

The griffin chose to fly above the clouds, where it was a bit warmer for Ron because his body had finally given up. Punching the ice had ruined his hand along with the rest of his arm. He had broken a few of his fingers and he couldn't hold his sword for a while depending on his healing factor. Ellen had said nothing ever since she regained her consciousness an hour ago.

The sky turned dark, and a cold spike of wind spread through the air, the breeze was cold enough to freeze his eyebrows--a sign to show that they had arrived at the gates of Niflheim. They all looked at each other.

Ellen commanded the griffin to land and immediately dived down and the clear warm sun quickly disappeared as they entered into the dark, cold abyss that led to Niflheim, the griffin closed in its wings as they traveled at a high speed then instantly released them when they were finally close to the ground.

It flew them to a cave under a mountain, where it left them and flew back to where it had come from since it had served its purpose.

It looked like it was night, but no one could tell since this place didn't receive much light from the sun.

Ron rubbed his hands together for warmth. Nathan used his crystal to make a flame that started to warm up the entire cave, giving Ron some comfort.

"Guys, I'm sorry for how I acted back at the lake, Ellen finally said something. She felt ashamed of the fact that she lost control and tried to kill Nathan in the process. She could see all that happen, but she had no rule over her own body.

'It's okay, Ellen, if it wasn't for activating your god powers I don't think I would be alive right now," Nathan grinned, "So thank you.:

She blushed and smiled, "You are unbelievable Nathan, am sorry I had doubts about you,"

I think I can do magic," Ron suddenly blurted out after recalling the scene of him flying when fighting the giant.

Both Nathan and Ellen looked at him, "When?" Ellen was the first to ask, she sounded surprised.

"I was fighting the ice giant then…"

"Wait, you fought an ice giant?" She raised her voice after what she had just heard,

'Yes, and I flew in the air," Ron answered, "Using this."--he showed the ring that was now silver.

"So you've activated the ring's power, fascinating," Nathan sounded impressed rather than surprised. "It means you are becoming more of a god by each day."

With these words, Ron remembered what Thor mentioned; that he will become a god and everyone he loves will die as he still lives. Speaking of Thor, he hoped he was still alive because the giant alone was its problem.

" Anyway, we only have five days to reach Jotunheim," Ellen managed to quickly change the topic. "We need a plan." she summoned her crystal. "Release." she cast out the spell and their bags all appeared on the ground.

Ellen's bag started to shake abruptly--she knelt and opened the bag, then Ginsu popped out screaming.

Ellen jumped at the sight of the trash goblin they had left at the world forge.

"What the hell are you doing here?" Nathan yelled at the goblin.

"I wanted to come after hottie here," --he pointed at Ellen then winked, "left without giving me her number, but I ended up getting lost in that hell of a bag," Ginsu still sounded like an old man.

"Well, you little…" Ellen made a fireball in her hand and was about to burn Ginsu to a crisp.

The trash goblin looked up in terror, then put both its hands forward, "I can help get you Jotunheim," it cried,

Ellen put down the attack, but an awful stare crawled on her face. "How?" She asked,

"Goblins are friends with dragons, I can keep Nidhug busy as you guys cross," the goblin shrugged with a forced smile on its ugly face.

"He's right goblins share a secret friendship with the dragon race," Nathan defended the creature.
