The Pressure Upon My Shoulders

Daily, burdens emerge, a weight on my soul,

Chasing moments as the world takes its toll.

Can she halt time's relentless stride,

Left behind as moments swiftly slide?

-

In these moments, an unease grips her tight,

Tears stain her pillow, thoughts take flight.

Random, haunting echoes from the past,

Resurfacing, multiplying, a storm so vast.

And these thoughts, unyielding, persist,

A relentless storm she can't resist.

-

Days stack burdens, one upon another,

Walls rising, she's a demolishing druther.

The weight she carries, like bricks on her chest,

Yet, within the chaos, she seeks a rest.
