Beginning after the end

It was a cold afternoon in Oklahoma; President Mathew was sitting in the hospital lobby with his wife Maria and his sons Hayden and Jayden. Maria was crying incessantly. Hayden looked sorrowful just like his father while Jay seemed lost and confused.


"Why are you crying mom? What happened to Grandma and grandpa and Em?" He kept on asking questions on these lines.


Mathew himself was not crying. The lobby was filled with Government officials from different departments particularly from law enforcement agencies and authorities. Police Chief stood right beside him. He looked very anxious.


The door in the lobby opened and a doctor came out. Mathew's secretary and police chief briskly approached him. Mathew was startled; he looked at him and stood up. Doctor came closer. He looked sorrowful. Mathew was looking at him inquisitively.


"I am sorry, Mr. President. What happened…" He was confused about what to say in this situation.
