Chapter 16

Making The Plan

I walk back into hell, to my surprise my husband was waiting. "did you see him again?" I respond "yes" he put his face down "how did that feel?" I went close to him and kissed him very softly "hasn't changed a thing" I walked away. He followed "how did you know?" I asked, he responds "every time you leave I hear thunder". I start laughing "every time I leave there's a war, you would swear I'm the Creator of war" we both laughed. "Would you like dinner?" I turn and grab his hands "does that come with desert" he smiles "you make me want to skip dinner". We sit on the table across from each other Abdima remarks "you can't go around killing my demons" I reply, "you can't go around sending them to follow me around". A moment of silence as I watch the anger fill his eyes "someone broke into a very special library" I leaned in "and if it was me what's the problem?". He responds, "you are my wife, my partner, when will you start playing that role". I take a deep breath "soon but not here". We get up I hug him, we go in the bedroom, I kiss him he neglects my kiss, I turn my back in disappointment "I guess I am punished" he turns me around and lays me in his chest "I am not putting out into you change your mind". I snuggle under his arms as I close my eyes I say "challenge accepted" I smile and dose off, he stays up thinking about what's next.

I wake up he's gone, I have started a rivalry I must be careful. I get dressed and take a walk, I was deep in my thoughts feeling very sad "Ausra" I hear a whisper. Meet me at the garden. I walk through the garden sit on a bench Meizu sits next to me invisible. "I have found the book you have been searching for" I look at the flowers and mentioned a more private location "the cave by the dark place follow me". The cave by the dark place is full of forgotten souls, no one goes there, it has been told some have never returned and the ones that returned have never been the same. A good test for Meizu to see if he is the one I'm seeking for. We are in front of the dark place, it's just quiet, cold, and full of whispers. I walk forward to the darkness and so does Meizu who finally is visible. We look full force ahead, this is going to be a hell of a mission, you can hear the soul's hunger as they brawl.

I step a little back to see what Meizu can do. He walks so calmly, one of the souls jumps at him full force, he sticks his hand through he's skull. We continues to walk to the next one, he jumps puts his feet through the soul from head to feet. I am impressed, he fights in a very calm matter, I remember from our fight. Two souls come at the same time, he elbows the one behind him and breaks his face, as he punches the one in front of him and breaks his face too. Meizu and I go back to back, the souls attack, I light them on fire one by one. He continues to fight savagely, he grabs one in midair by the chest and drops his whole body through the pavement. I grab he's shoulder flip over and kick the one that was coming from the side, as I could see he didn't see it coming. I continue to throw fire, in that moment a whole bunch of souls jump on Meizu, I can't see him, I hear a yell Meizu lifts them all and toss them, I light them on fire before the hit the ground. As we do that, we both have a soul behind us, I flip in the air and kick down full force while still burning the souls Meizu threw. Meizu turns and just snaps the soul behind him in half. We walk in the room in silence.

We sit, he hands me the book. "what do we do now" Meizu ask "we read it" I open the book. We couldn't read the book it was blank. "that's impossible" I look at Meizu "what now?" I look through the blank pages "there has to be some kind of instructions in this book somewhere". We continue to look for a while "if you were your husband how would hide something" I look at Meizu "you are a genius, backup" I open the book in half and set it on fire. Words appear "just set it on fire, a bit too easy" I answer Meizu "no, my husband's flames are different, once marrying him I share the same flame. I'm sure is not that easy, my husband is anything but easy". Meizu and I read the inscriptions, "once the world is at its ends peak, judgement shall be served and anything done against free will, can be undone". Meizu looks at me "what does that mean?" I respond, "it means these souls get a second chance to live a life off free will, it's the reason Fenox and I are here". He looks at me "Fenox and you?" I look at Meizu "yes, this will all be left to Fenox, I came to fix the undone, Fenox is fighting the war on earth". We continue to read "this book can be read by the wise one, with help of a Creator, these souls can be freed to the Creator of this world with bias judgement". Meizu and I look at each other "Alvis" we say at the same time.

We are silent for a while, then Meizu laughs "your past sure keeps hunting you" I smile "or maybe it was placed there for these moments". Meizu looks at me "what are we going to do, he's not going to come easily" I take a deep breath "well we are, one going to have to fight our way to him and two he will fight and question me". Meizu shakes his head in agreement "how can we show him this is for the greater good" I look at Meizu "we don't, I will promise soon after is my time to go". Meizu looks down "I will miss you" I look at him "shut up, trust me you won't". We both laugh "you have to stop meeting people fighting" Meizu addresses me, I laugh "I heard I'm about to get a promotion from soldier to commander" he laughs "more than commander". We sit in silence for one more second before we get ready for the next couple of battles. "Ausra, you love Abdima" I look at Meizu "I do, I just hope the Creator can sense what I sense" I look down "I just know if he ends in the abyss, we are going in together, I won't leave him alone". Meizu gets up "you are a special arc angel" I look at Meizu "you are a special demon" we laugh and get ready for a never-ending war
