R= Retreating Base. Enough supplies/facilities for 2 battalions/2000 people


F=Forward Base. Enough supplies/facilities for 1 battalion/1000 people


E=Empty of Base. Not actually empty as each has resource collectors, research stations, cities/towns, fighting, unclaimed corpses, fortifications, and/or natural stuff. Some are just empty.


Distance between areas are not uniform due to several factors, mainly the natural terrain being more mountainous than usual.
