UK

Zagreus and Michael were on their way to the plane. There was nothing more for them to explore in Norway, so it was time to move on to the UK.

On the way, Zagreus' phone vibrated in his pocket. He took out the smartphone that he had taken quite the liking to. The little device could do so many things, and he could also play games on it when he got bored with reading.

Zagreus wondered what Hermes will think about all the various ways one could message others with a smartphone? He would either end up really liking it as it would make his work effortless or hating it as it would his job pointless.

Seeing he had a message from Emma, Zagreus opened it up, only to see a picture of the blond with nothing more than a white bra that barely covered anything and a text asking, "Do I look good in this?"

"I think you will look better without it," Zagreus texted back. Megaera always used to tell him that she liked him more when he was confident and bold about his actions. Here's hoping that other women taught the same.

"Really? Well, you might find out when you get over here," Emma replied, and the two continued texting about this and that. She had already prepared for Zagreus' arrival and for him to join the Hellfire Club. Shaw was more than interested in him just by the few details Emma shared about him.

Soon enough, the two boarded their plane, and Zagreus had to stop his chatting with Emma. He then pulled out the stones he recently found, choosing to try his luck at studying them rather than reading the boring books.

"What do you think it's their purpose?" Zagreus asked. He had attempted to figure them out ever since he found them, but he's had no luck.

"I apologize, but I can't help you with the stones," Michael said. That just wasn't his field of study. If he had samples of living beings, he could obtain a lot of information, but he couldn't do anything with stones.

For example, from the blood of the bird-man, Michael found out that the man wasn't a mutant. He discovered a strange substance in Owl's blood, which he believed was some kind of serum. He planned on trying to replicate it as soon as he gets free time.

Michael also found out that the red-haired wasn't a mutant, which disappointed him since he wanted to know what would happen if his Master absorbs a mutant's blood. However, Michael found the man's DNA had been altered by unknown means, and he had absolutely no idea how that was done.

"Maybe I have to throw them or something?" Zagreus flipped one of them up and down.

"I strongly advise you not to throw them while we are on the plane," Michael said. The two of them will more than likely survive if the plane crashes, but he didn't want to risk the stones having some strange ability.

Zagreus wasn't going to throw them while on the plane, but he was starting to doubt if the carvings on the stones were actual runes. However, he also didn't have enough magical knowledge to know if that's the case.

Their flight continued on without any issues, and they shortly arrived in London. After getting off the plane, they met up with Jane, who was waiting for them there.

"Zag," Jane greeted her Master, happy to see him again.

"Hello, Jane. How have you been?" Zagreus asked.

"Well, and I already handled everything on my end," Jane replied. She owned a large part of the high-end restaurants in the United Kingdom. In the past few weeks, she hired people to pretty much handle everything for her, allowing her to spend all her time serving her Master.

Jane was a mutant, but her ability wasn't combat-related. She could phase through solid matter. Her power could be used offensively, but Jane just wasn't a fighter. However, that didn't mean she couldn't be of use to her Master. Jane knew the United Kingdom and its landmarks much better than Michael, and she could handle the day to day businesses better than him.

"That's good to hear," Zagreus said and looked around. Something felt a bit off.

"Are you hungry? If you are, we could visit one of my restaurants. I promise you won't be disappointed," Jane said, wishing to show off.

"Yeah," Zagreus nodded. He wouldn't mind testing the food there, "that sounds l..."

Through a window, Zagreus saw a black airplane flying straight towards the ground, with the word STRIKE imprinted on its side. The jet didn't stop even for a second as it crashed, erupting into an explosion. Panic erupted in the airport with people running around and screaming in fear.

From within the explosion, two people flew out as they fought in the air. They zoomed around, showing off they had the ability to fly as they punched each other with all their might.

Both of them wore very similar costumes or suits, Zagreus wasn't sure exactly what they were, but they resembled the flag of the United Kingdom.

"That's Captain Britain!" Jane exclaimed. There was almost no one that lived in the United Kingdom and didn't know who that man was.

"But why are there two of them?" Jane then asked, but there was no one to answer her question.

Just a moment later, a purple-haired woman ran out. She was obviously critically injured. Her body was filled with grievous wounds and bleeding hard. She was stumbling and had trouble walking. And the worst injury of them all was her eyes, which were simply gone, leaving two empty bleeding sockets.

A tall man wearing a green helmet over his long brown hair ran after the woman.

"Come 'ere, sugar. You have nowhere to run," the helmet-wearing man said and laughed out.

A bit earlier...

The psi division of STRIKE was returning from a mission in Ireland. They were supposed to obtain information about some kind of criminal organization that has recently sprung up there. Their mission was a great success as they not only managed to find it, but they also neutralized the criminals. However, they ended up finding something disturbing. Someone had managed to infiltrate their own organization.

Elizabeth Braddock, also known as Betsy to those that knew her, was happy that her brother, Brian, came with them. With Captain Britan helping them, they should have no problem dealing with the Vixen.

They were flying over the London Airpot when they heard a crash over in the cockpit, and the plane started going down. There was a moment of panic amongst the agents, but one of them quickly reacted and rushed to see what happened. He also happened to have piloting experience, so he wanted to stop the plane from crashing.

Brian also reacted and quickly touched the amulet around his neck, summoning his Captain Britain's Uniform. While wearing the uniform, he was bestowed with incredible strength and skills. Brian planned on flying out of the plane and trying to prevent it from crashing, or at least minimize the damage as much as he can.

"It's going to be all okay," Brian said to Betsy and peeked over to the agent going to the cockpit. Just as he was about to fly off, he saw a hand pierce through the door and go through the agent's chest.

The display of strength surprised him, but Brian was shocked seeing a man not only wearing a similar costume as him but also looking identical to him.

"Hey, mates. Hope you're having a blast, cause I sure am," the fake Captain Britain, known as Kaptain Briton in his dimension, said with a laugh.

Briton's appearance was enough to bewilder Brian for a few seconds, just enough for him not to have enough time to save everyone. Put in a spot where he had to make a choice, he made in a split second.

If there was one person on that plane that he had to save, then that was his sister. Brian jumped over and covered her with his body, just as the plane crashed.

Betsy lived, but she didn't get away scot-free from the accident. She was hurt and injured, but Brian didn't even get to see her state before Kaptain Briton burrowed into him, and both flew out of the plane. Left alone, Betsy looked around, seeing that the entire psi division was now dead except for her.

"Oh, gods, no," Betsy said, saddened and in pain from her wounds.

"Gods won't help you, sugar," Betsy heard the voice of a known assassin behind her, Slaymaster. The man had run into the plane the moment it crashed down to make sure there were no survivors. And knowing the psi divisions powers, he had a helmet that not only hid him from them but also protected his mind.

Before Betsy could react, Slaymaster grabbed her head from behind. He plunged his fingers into her eyes and ripped them out of their socket.

"GAHHHH!" Betsy screamed in agony. She had never felt so much pain in her life, but her powers reacted on instinct, and she threw Slaymaster away with a telekinetic blast.

Betsy weakly got up and managed to find her way out of the plane, stumbling along the way. However, Slaymaster was right behind her, "Come 'ere, sugar. You have nowhere to run."

This was it, Betsy taught, but then she heard a whooshing sound before she felt something fly past her.

"GAH!" She heard Slaymaster scream before his body dropped on the ground.

Betsy had no idea what was going on, and she barely kept her self conscious. The agony of her wounds and losing her eyes was almost unbearable.

"I'm here to help, okay?" Betsy heard someone land next to her and immediately reacted. Like Slaymaster, she hadn't been able to sense the man with her telepathy, so she sent a telekinetic blast his way.

"Ugh, that wasn't very nice," Zagreus said after taking a few steps back. He couldn't really blame her since she wasn't in a good state right now.

"Who are you? What do you want?" Betsy asked, focusing her attention on where the voice came from. She was acting tough, but she knew she might pass out any second now.

"I'm... Prince," Zagreus said after a second of consideration, "and I want to help." He was good-natured, but he wasn't someone that would go around helping everyone in sight. However, Betsy looked in such an awful state, and he couldn't just leave her like that.

"Help?" Betsy yelled out in a desperate voice, "How can you possibly help?" She didn't believe him, and she just wanted to cry, which, of course, wasn't really possible in her current state.

Realizing that talking won't do him any good, Zagreus took action. Blood tendrils came out of both of his hands and flew over to her. The moment they touched her, she instantly flinched back.

"What are you doing?" Betsy yelled again and sent another telekinetic blast his way, which also pushed the blood tendrils away.

"I just want to help you heal, nothing more," Zagreus said, trying once more. If he really wanted to harm her, he could do it without her even being able to react.

"I don't trust you!" Betsy wasn't in the right state of mind, but she was right not to trust someone she didn't know nor able to see in her current situation.

"I really mean you no harm," Zagreus said as the blood tendrils reached her once more.

This time, Betsy didn't immediately react. She observed to the best of her current capabilities with her telekinetic senses what Zagreus was doing. The tendrils of blood went through her open wounds, sawing them up and mending the flesh, healing her injuries in the process. It did sting, but she barely felt it due to the pain she was experiencing.

"You are actually helping," Betsy said in astonishment. She had seen different kinds of superpowers, but none have really been about healing others.

"I did tell you that," Zagreus replied, but he remained focus on patching her up.

In a few minutes, the wounds all over her body were healed up, and only her missing eyes remained. This was the toughest one to fix, so Zagreus tried remembering what he read in the past weeks.

"The eyes are connected to the back part of the brain with the optic nerve," Zagreus muttered to himself before he started working on it.

It sounded incredible how he was going to attempt to heal her eyes, but at this point, Betsy trusted him. She stayed still, not willing to move, less she disrupts his healing. It stung a lot, and she wanted to scratch herself, but she resisted and didn't move an inch.

A dozen minutes later, a pair of blue orbs stared staring at... a figure covered in darkness.

"I didn't imagine that a Prince would look like this," Betsy said as she dropped down on her butt. She barely had the power to stay awake.

"I've heard that one before," Zagreus replied and was ready to leave. The ongoing fight was something that really interested him.

"Wait!" Betsy, using her last remaining energy, grabbed him by the hand.

"Please, can you go check if there are any survivors in the plane and heal them if there are?" Betsy asked desperately. She hoped that maybe, just maybe, at least one of them had survived the crash.

"I guess I can do that," Zagreus replied, hoping that the fight doesn't end before that.

"Thank you," Betsy uttered before falling unconscious.

Now willing to leave her out in the open, Zagreus picked up Betsy over his shoulder and proceeded over to the plane. He quickly looked around, but he only found scattered dead bodies.

"I suppose I shouldn't let the blood go to waste," Zagreus muttered before creating a bloodstone. There were over a dozen bodies, and since he also wanted to get to the fight quickly, he decided to gather all the blood into a single one.

After exiting the plane, Zagreus was happy to see that the two superpower humans were still duking it out. He honestly thought they were quite impressive, especially their ability to fly. Both also seemed to pack quite the punch, but one of them looked to be on the losing side.

Brian was having a hard time coping with his alternate self. He wasn't entirely sure, but if he had to guess, his copy drew his power from his suit like him.

However, there was more to that. Brian's strength also depended on his confidence, and he currently wasn't feeling very confident. He was also worried about his sister, making this fight even harder for himself.

Taking hit after hit, Brian kept getting weaker and weaker. His suit still protected him from getting harmed, but he was slowly losing his strength. At this point, Kaptain Briton was more powerful, so after a quick zig-zag motion, he appeared above Brian and slammed him hard, sending him towards the ground quite close to Zagreus.

"You have no idea how to use your powers, don't you?" Briton asked him after landing nearby, but his eyes were focused on the unknown person covered in darkness. The figure had no discerning features, but it almost seemed as if it was smiling at him.

Brian also noticed Zagreus, or more importantly, the person on his shoulder.

"You fiend! What have you done to my sister?" Brian yelled, and even though he just got beat, he was ready to do anything in his powers to save Betsy.

"She's your sister?" Zagreus asked, a bit surprised at that. Still, he didn't think Brian was lying due to the way he reacted, so before the costume-wearing man said anything else, he handed her over to him.

"Then you can take care of her while I try my hand with him, okay?" The chance of fighting a human that might be as strong as he was made Zagreus' blood boil. There was also the fact that Briton was able to fly freely, which he thought was cool and hoped that maybe he will gain that ability if he got the man's blood.

"Who are you?" Briton asked. The man was unknown, but he didn't think he was a threat to him. He was just that confident in his abilities.

"It doesn't really matter," Zagreus said, taking a step forward.

"You are right," Briton nodded, "you are insignificant," he then said as he took off towards him.

Zagreus had to admit that while flying, Briton was fast. However, he had once seen Hermes run. Well, seeing might be an overestimation since the God of Speed just disappeared in front of his eyes. Compared to that level of speed, Briton was nothing.

Staying still, Zagreus waited for the perfect moment before acting. Once Briton neared him, he quickly bent his body sideways while also summoning the Twin Fists and slamming Briton right in the head.

"Huh?" Zagreus watched as Briton was sent flying from his attack. He was sure he got a clean hit, but it felt like he just punched an unbreakable wall. That was weird.

Briton recovered mid-air and looked at the darkness covered figure in surprise. Realizing that his current opponent might not be as simple as he believed, he decided to take this fight seriously.

Zagreus studied him carefully, noticing there was not a single sign of his punch on Briton's face. He was unsure what was going on there, but he was also excited.

"You will regret butting in," Briton said and paused, giving Zagreus a chance to leave now. He still believed he could win this, but Briton didn't want to waste too much time since he wished to deal with his counterpart quickly.

"Oh, I don't think so. This is going to be fun," Zagreus replied excitedly.

"You have no idea what's to come, and you are just wasting my time, but so be it," Briton said and flew at him again.

This time he channeled more energy and moved even faster than before. Briton also learned from his mistake and stopped right before Zagreus before throwing a spinning kick at him.

That was a good attempt. However, Zagreus' reaction speed was lightning fast, as a result of all the blessings from Zeus.

His speed was also nothing to scoff at. Not only was it his best attribute, but all the blessings from Hermes made it even better.

Zagreus ducked under the spinning kick, and before Briton could react, erupted into a mighty uppercut. The attack hit him right in the head once more and sent him flying up in the air.

"Very weird," Zagreus muttered as he observed Briton. The man looked uninjured, and there was no sign of his attack ever hitting him.

While Zagreus was thinking how was that possible, Briton was fuming with anger. He felt humiliated, and without hesitation, flew at him again for revenge. Briton would not allow some unknown guy to do him like that.

The Twin Fists of Malphon was the weapon Zagreus used when he needed raw power. However, it didn't seem to be working against Briton. So, before the man reached him again, he quickly swapped it out.

Aegis appeared in his left hand just as Briton sent a raging punch his way. The shield blocked the attack, but Zagreus had to steady himself from how powerful it was. Briton had more strength than the giants he faced. Possibly as much as Asterius, which was quite the achievement for a human.

Still, that didn't stop Zagreus from counter-attacking him. Stygius was already in his right hand, and he swung his blade at Briton. The attack landed, but rather than piercing him, it just sent him flying back as if he was hit by a club.

"You will pay for this!" Briton was enraged beyond belief. Even his counterpart, which he believed to be his greatest opponent in this dimension, was defeated by him with ease. However, Briton wasn't even able to hit this random guy once!

Zagreus ignored the man's outburst. He was focused on figuring out how Briton's invulnerability worked. Pure strength didn't work, nor did Stygius' piercing ability. Briton was an annoying opponent for sure, but Zagreus found it exciting. It's been a long time since he had to fight strategically.

In his angered state of being humiliated in all of his exchanges with Zagreus, Briton acted like a mad bull, blindly rushing at him. He was more than confident in the dimensional energy that covered his body and only wanted to beat Zagreus into a pulp.

However, no matter how many times Briton tried, his attacks got either blocked or dodged with ease. If Michael's was correct, Zagreus was about 2 000 to 3 000 years old, and the majority of that time, he had spent fighting and honing his fighting skills.

Brian had taken Betsy away from the combat, and even though he wanted to just leave, he stayed to watch what happens. He knew how strong Briton was from firsthand experience, so he was impressed by how Zagreus was able to evade or block his attacks. His weapons also looked exceptional, but he wasn't sure what they were actually capable of.

However, Brian was under the impression that Zagreus would end up losing, even though he still hadn't taken a direct hit. He was under the impression that Briton would win a battle of attrition since he didn't know Briton was fighting a god, who could very well fight for over a day straight.

Brian also didn't think that Zagreus could harm his counterpart, and he was considering leaving to find a safe place to hide Betsy. However, just before he left, he saw something he didn't understand. Zagreus dismissed both of his weapons right before Briton flew at him. That move just didn't make sense to Brian.

Zagreus then nimbly dodged Briton's next attack before quickly jumping onto him and wrapping his arms and legs around Briton's head.

"That won't work," Brian muttered, thinking that suffocating Briton was a good idea, but the man had a protective barrier around his body. Zagreus just wouldn't be able to actually choke him.

"What?!?" Brian then exclaimed in surprise as Briton's head got covered in ice.

Zagreus pretty much figured out about the protective barrier. He didn't know if he could break it, so he decided to just strangle his opponent. Achilles had taught him many ways to fight, including how to subdue his enemies if needed to. He didn't know how Briton's protective barrier worked, so he finished his move with his new powers.

Reading all the books turned out to be of benefit in this situation. Knowing that humans needed to breathe to survive, Zagreus covered Briton's head with ice, cutting off any breathable air.

Briton did struggle and even managed to break the ice, but Zagreus just kept recreating it, so it was only a matter of time until he fell unconscious.

A few minutes passed, but Briton kept struggling. Still, Zagreus held on, knowing that it wouldn't take long. In the meantime, he also decided to use his memory extraction to figure out more about Briton.

However, Zagreus stopped himself just after a few moments. Byron Bra-Dhok was a psychopathic sadist, and his memories were full of him abusing, raping, and killing people. He did manage to learn that the man was from a different dimension, whatever that meant. Michael would probably be able to explain that to him later.

It took about a dozen more minutes before Byron finally fell unconscious. It was far more than what the books mentioned, but the man did have superpowers after all.

The protective barrier around Byron disappeared without him being able to consciously keep it active, and Zagreus snapped his neck without hesitation.

"Well... that was fun, but his memories were disturbing," Zagreus muttered, thinking he would have to be pickier in using his memory extracting ability. He then created a bloodstone and drained Byron.

Seeing that the fight was over, Brian decided to go and talk with Zagreus. He was covered in darkness, making him look eerie, but Bryan didn't think he was a bad man. However, before he could even take a step in his direction, Zagreus just disappeared from his sight.

"Huh?" Brian looked around, but Zagreus was nowhere to be seen. After a moment, he left the area. Brian wanted to get Betsy to safety first, and he believed that he would end up meeting Zagreus in the future. A man covered in darkness can't go unnoticed for long. There was also that problem with STRIKE. He really had too much on his table.

Both Michael and Jane were patiently waiting for Zagreus in her car. Of the two, Jane was slightly worried about her Master. Michael, on the other hand, had complete confidence in Zagreus after having witnessed him fight more than once, and he was honestly more excited about the blood Zagreus might bring. He already had quite a bit to research, but having more was never a bad thing in his eyes.

Soon enough, the door to the car opened and closed before Zagreus appeared in one of the back seats.

"Did you have fun?" Michael asked, having come to know his Master.

"Oh, yeah, I did," Zagreus nodded before taking out the two new bloodstones, "I even got something for you."

Jane started the car while Michael eyed the two excitedly. He took out two small vials, which he had started carrying with him for situations like this one, and Zagreus filled them with blood from both bloodstones. His butler loved studying blood samples and was happy to receive just enough for his research.

"This one is from the costume-wearing guy, Byron Bra-Dhok," Zagreus pointed at the first one before moving on to the other, "and this one is from a bunch of people. Not sure if it's of any worth, but you can look into it."

Michael nodded and carefully stored the two while remembering which was which.

"So, this Byron... he was from a different Earth, what's that about?" Zagreus then asked, and Michael looked at him in surprise, completely forgetting the two blood samples he just received.

"Could you please elaborate?" Michael asked, and even Jane perked up to listen.

"Well, he was from Earth, but a different Earth. Like, there was only a single empire ruling the entire world there. He used some kind of teleporting device to traverse over to our Earth," Zagreus explained as best he could. He didn't have Byron's full memories, just parts of them.

"Woah... well... well, this quite the discovery!" Michael exclaimed after thinking it over.

"The theory of multiple universes is true," Michael followed up. He had no reason to believe that his Master was lying to him, and he knew about his memory extraction ability.

"And that theory is?" Zagreus asked, and Michael began explaining.

Meanwhile, they were leaving the airport, which was starting to get swarmed with police. They were stopped a few times, but Jane was someone with a lot of connections, and they also had Michael in the car, who made sure they weren't bothered.

"Do you think you can make a portal like that?" Zagreus asked. He was interested in maybe checking out those different universes in the future.

"I don't think so. I believe only people like Reed Richards could do that," Michael answered honestly as that just wasn't his field of study.

Zagreus wasn't too disappointed at that, but he did consider meeting up with this Reed Richards in the future.

They passed by one of Jane's restaurants before they arrived at her impressive mansion. She showed them around, but Zagreus didn't plan on spending too much time there since he wanted to explore. Michael, on the other hand, would be getting a break for a bit to study and research as Jane would be the one showing their Master around.

After they settled in, Zagreus took out the bloodstone from Byron. He was excited about it and popped in his mouth. Nothing happened at first, so he waited for a bit. However, he felt no changes.

"I don't think I gained anything from it," Zagreus said, disappointed that he wouldn't be flying around. Michael looked to be just as disappointed at him.

"I think I'm going to wait on this one," Zagreus then said and stored the other bloodstone. It was a combination of more than a few people, and he wasn't in a rush to eat it. It's not like it could give him the ability to fly or anything. Right?

"I agree with you. I will see what I can find about it and contact you as soon I do," Michael said. Jane had purchased everything he needed, and he had a small lab set up in her mansion. He couldn't ask for anything more. Other than more samples to work with.

With that out of the way, it was time for him to take a look around the United Kingdom, an island nation composed of four different countries. They weren't large on their own, but he had quite a lot to see and explore. Jane was happy to show him around, and she also got to spend more time with her Master, which was more than enough for her.

After passing a few landmarks, Zagreus had to admit the place was beautiful. However, he had one complaint about it. Why did it always rain? A single day didn't go by without it raining. A few of the landmarks were also kinda weird to him.

"So... why are a bunch of rocks so famous?" Zagreus asked as he looked over at Stonehenge.

"It's believed they were brought over here thousands of years ago, and no one knows how the people then managed to do it without having access to technology like us," Jane replied.

"Couldn't they just carry them over?" Zagreus asked. He was pretty sure he could lift them up and carry them one by one.

"Well... you are not wrong," Jane said after thinking about it for a moment. They were mutants that might as well be able to lift them now. Who says there weren't mutants back then? She also learned that gods were real, so they might have done it as well. Stonehenge didn't look that impressive with those in the equations.

They continued their exploration and were going through the Scottish Highlands. The mountains spammed for over 10 000 sq miles, so they took their time traveling them. Jane was also not as physically gifted as Michael, so they had to spend more time resting. Zagreus didn't mind too much since he got to know her better.

They didn't find anything of interest, and they were on their way to Loch Ness. That was a place Zagreus wanted to see due to the rumors about a massive aquatic monster that lived there. Jane didn't believe those rumors, but they could at least check it out.

On the way, they passed by Inverness, where they booked a hotel for the night. It was then that Michael gave them a call regarding the second bloodstone.

"From what I found out, the blood should be that of a mutant. However, I'm not sure if it's from a single one or many. If it's from more than one mutant, they might have similar powers in nature, so I don't think there are any issues with it."

Knowing that, Zagreus decided to take his chances, hoping that it won't change his appearance. He popped the bloodstone and waited for a moment. Zagreus felt a change, but he wasn't quite sure what it was. He definitely didn't feel more powerful, nor did his physical appearance change.

"I really hope nothing bad happens. Otherwise, Michael will pay. I don't care that he was Master's first servant," Zagreus heard Jane.

"You don't have to worry about it. I don't think anything bad happened. And didn't we agree not to call me Master?" Zagreus replied to her.

"What?" Jane asked. "I didn't say anything. I just thought about it. How did he hear me? Wait... could it be? Mas... I mean Zag, can you hear me?"

"Yes?" Zagreus replied as he stared at her unmoving mouth. Knowing about Emma's mutant ability, he pieced it together. However, he didn't like hearing other people's thoughts like that.

"What happened?" Michael asked on the phone.

"Wait a moment," Zagreus replied. He closed his eyes and focused on his mind. He found doing it a lot easier than when Nyx taught him a long time ago. Shortly, Zagreus found himself staring at a veil of darkness.

"So, this is how it looks, huh?" Zagreus said and admired it for a moment. He then looked around and found a place in the veil that was opened up. Zagreus figured that it opened because of his new power. Focusing on it, he managed to close it up with ease.

"This was a lot easier than I remember," Zagreus said. He used to spend hours and hours to create a patch of the veil much smaller than the one he just sealed up. Again, it was probably because of his new power, but he wasn't sure what he could do with it yet. Thankfully, he knew someone that might be able to help him up with that.

"Hey, Jane, can you think of something?" Zagreus asked, and she stayed still.

"Great!" Zagreus said in a moment after confirming he couldn't hear her thoughts.

"Michael, I'm pretty sure I became a telepath," Zagreus informed him, and he was pretty sure he felt his butler excitement, even though they were hundreds of miles apart.
