The Truth

Mika stood at the front of the school and looked around; she expected a lot of security, but there was nothing. Mika had her hand on her chin, "I guess U.A. is confident about their security." she said.

"That seems to be the case." Mika panicked at the sudden voice. When Mika turned her head, she was relieved when she saw Momo; she looked at her, "Sorry if I startled you." she said. Mika shook her head and looked at Momo with a warm smile, "It's fine, Momo." she said.

Momo noticed the bow in Mika's hair, "I believe you were looking at a bow similar to that at the mall." she said, "Did you go back and buy it?" Mika looked away, "N-No... a friend bought it and gave it to me as a gift." she said lowly.

Momo nodded, "So that's what Koda was doing at the mall." she said. Mika looked at Momo shocked, "You knew he was there!" she shouted. Momo nodded, "Sorry I didn't tell you, but I thought it would be cute if he gave you the bow without being caught." she said.

Momo smiled, "You two would make a very cute couple." she continued. Mika blushed a lot and covered her face with her hands, "Not you too..." she said.

Momo giggled a bit; she looked at Mika, "I'm not trying to force it, but I was wondering about the question Mina said." she said, "So... I would like to ask about it too."

Mika uncovered her face and looked away, "Um... Well..." she hesitated a bit. Momo smiled a bit and held her pinky out to Mika, "How about a pinky promise." she said. Mika turned to Momo, "You tell me your feelings about him and I won't tell anyone." she continued, "Does that sound fair?"

Mika was unsure, but she wrapped her pinky around Momo's pinky, "Alright..." she said. Momo smiled, "Now then... do you like Koda more than a just friend?" she asked. Mika took a deep breath and exhaled, "Yeah... I do." she said.

Momo nodded, "What is it that makes you like him?" she asked. Mika looked at Momo, "A lot of things..." she said, "His strength, his care for others, his kind nature not only to animals but to people."

Mika ruffled some of her hair, "When I'm sad, he's there to cheer me up." she continued, "I'm not sure if he's a huge fan of his voice, but I think it's cute and that it suits him."

Mika rubbed her arm, "I know that some people prefer a man that looks hot or has a lot of money, but I'm one of those people who prefers guys with nice personalities." she said, "And... Koda has the things I expect."

Momo nodded, "Do you fear that he might reject you?" she asked. Mika looked at the ground and nodded, "I think about it every time." she said, "It always pains me to stand next to him all the time we've spent together."

Mika grabbed a bit of her hair, "I want to confess to him so badly, but I fear that he'll reject me." she continued. Mika lets go of her hair and looked down, "I also fear for our friendship... because if he doesn't feel the same way, then he'd stop hanging out with me."

Momo smiled a bit and placed her hands on Mika's shoulders, "You shouldn't worry about your friendship with him, Mika." she said, "Even if he doesn't feel the same way, I believe that you'll still be friends with him."

Mika looked at Momo and smiled, "Thanks Momo." she said. Momo nodded, "Do you plan on telling him how you feel towards him?" she asked. Mika looked down and nodded, "I do... but I'm not sure when." she said.

Momo smiled, "No need to rush things, take your time." she said. Momo got her hands off Mika's shoulders and walked up the stairs, "Let's go to class before we're late." she continued. Mika nodded, "Right!" she shouted as she walked up the stairs with Momo.

As they entered class, some of their classmates greeted them; Mika smiled as she sat at her desk. Rikido noticed the bow in Mika's hair, "Hey Lyoko, when did you get that bow?" he asked.

Mika turned to Rikido and pointed to her bow, "Oh, this thing." she said. Mika looked at Koji smiling, "A friend of mine got if for me yesterday." she continued.

Koji blushed a bit and looked away, "Do they allow bows while wearing the school uniform?" Fumikage asked. Mika looked at Fumikage, "Do they allow chokers while wearing the school uniform?" she replied.

Fumikage had a blank expression, "Touché." he said, making the other two cover their mouths from their laughter. Mika giggled a bit and smiled, "Who do you think will teach us since Sensei got hurt at USJ?" Rikido asked.

Mika had her hand on her chin, "I'm not sure." she said, "I'm hoping Sensei is alright." Tenya quickly entered the room, "Everyone! Class is about to start! All of you need to be in your seats!" he shouted.

"We're already in our seats, Iida." Eijiro said. "You're the only one not in your seat." Hanta said. Tenya got to his seat and mumbled to himself. Koji was worried, but Mika giggled a bit, not loud enough for the others to hear.

As the door opened, they saw Mr. Aizawa with his face and arms covered in bandages, "I'm glad to see that you're well, Sensei!" Tenya shouted.

Mr. Aizawa stood at the podium and looked at them, "My well-being doesn't matter because your fight is far from over." he said. Mika gulped, *Are more villains attacking us?* she thought.

"U.A.'s sports festival is approaching." Mr. Aizawa continued, making the others sigh with relief. "This is gonna be awesome!" Eijiro shouted; Denki pushed his head aside, "Are you sure that's a good idea, Sensei?" he asked, "Villains attacked us not too long ago."

Mr. Aizawa nodded, "This event is necessary." he said, "U.A. wants us to show that the crisis management protocols are sound; compared to the last years, there will be more security. This event will give you a great opportunity."

They whispered to each other with excitement and worry, "Our sports festival is one of the biggest events in Japan." Mr. Aizawa continued, getting their attention.

Mr. Aizawa closed his eyes, "The Olympics was the world's biggest sports festival and would be excited, but when Quirks were introduced, the Olympics in a scale to a shell of its former self." he said.

Mr. Aizawa looked at them, "As far as Japan's concern, what's taken place of the Olympics is U.A.'s sports festival." he continued. Momo looked at them, "The nation's top heroes will watch us too." she said, "They'll be our scouts."

Denki nodded, "Whenever we graduate from this academy, they want us to be their sidekicks thanks to the sports fest." he said.

Kyoka looked at Denki, "A lot of those sidekicks don't go solo and stay as sidekicks forever." she said, "That's probably gonna happen to you, Kaminari; you're pretty stupid."

Denki cringed a bit, "Naturally, you'll gain your experience and popularity if you're picked by a popular hero." Mr. Aizawa said, "But your time is limited; show the pro heroes what you're made of and you'll make futures for yourself."

Mr. Aizawa looked at them, "This happens once a year, and you have three chances." he continued, "If you're wanting to become a hero, this is an event you can't miss."

Everyone was pumped, *The chance to work with a popular pro hero and gain experience.* Mika thought. Mika clenched on her fists, *The sports fest is something I have to do good on.* she thought with determination.

When the last bells rang, Mika grabbed her belongings, *The first thing I should stop by is the gym.* she thought, *I need to make sure it has everything I need for hand-to-hand combat training.*

Mika was about to leave, but she saw many students in the hallway looking in the class. Mika tilted her head, "What are these people doing?" she asked lowly.

"They're here to look at their competition, idiot." Mika turned her head and saw Katsuki walk towards the students at the door. Mika looked at the crowd, *That makes sense.* she thought, *We were the students who survived a villain attack.*

"This is the famous Class 1-A." Mika looked at the crowd and saw a boy with indigo hair walk towards them, "Are they as ignorant as him?"

Katsuki got furious and Izuku's group tried calming him down, "Those who didn't make it into the hero course were put in general studies and other courses." he continued.

He looked at them, "Depending on the results of the sports fest, somebody from general studies can be transferred to the hero course and vice versa." he said.

Mika froze at the statement, "The sports fest will be the perfect chance to knock you off your pedestals." he continued, "Consider this a declaration of war." Mika looked at him as he walked away, *Something like that can happen.* she thought.

Mika clenched on her belongings tightly, *Then... this is the perfect reason why I have to do well on the sports fest.* she thought with determination.

Mika and Koji were walking towards the train station. Koji turned to Mika and noticed she was in deep thought, "Is something wrong, Lyoko?" he asked with worry.

Mika shook her head, "It's nothing." she said, "Just thinking about that guy's words and the possibility of us being kicked out of the hero course because we don't do well in the sports fest."

Koji nodded, "That does sound terrible, but it should be motivation for us to do great in the sports fest." he said. Mika smiled, "Yeah, I guess your right." she said, "We only have two weeks from today to be prepared for this."

Koji looked at Mika, "What do you plan on doing for training?" he asked. Mika had her hand on her chin, "Well... there are a few things I would like to train on." she said.

Mika looked at her hand, "But for now, I want to work on my Quirk and my hand-to-hand combat skills." she continued. Mika turned to Koji, "What do you plan on doing?" she asked.

Koji looked away, "Well... I would be at a huge disadvantage since there won't be a lot of animals there, but I still got to do my best." he said. Mika smiled a bit, "Actually... there's something I wanted to ask you." Koji continued; she tilted her head, "What is it?" she asked.

Koji turned to Mika "Can you... teach me some things about hand-to-hand combat?" he asked. Mika had a blank expression, "Wait, what." she said. Mika pointed to herself, "You want me to teach you hand-to-hand combat?" she asked.

Koji nodded, making Mika look away and scratch the back of her head, "I don't know... I don't think I'm the best teacher for you, and I'm not that good at it." she said.

Koji shook his head and smiled, "No way! You're great at hand-to-hand combat." he said, making Mika turn to him, "The way you handled yourself against Todoroki during combat training proves that fact; plus, you'd make a great teacher."

Mika blushed a bit and looked down, "A-Alright... if you want to know more about hand-to-hand combat, I can show you a few pointers." she said; Koji smiled, "Thank you, Lyoko." he said.

Mika nodded and looked away, "Why do you have to be so cute when you smile!" she mumbled to herself. Koji looked at Mika and tilted his head, "Did you say something?" he asked. Mika panicked and looked at Koji while waving her hands, "I-It was nothing!" she shouted.

Mika calmed down and looked at Koji, "Anyway, I think I know the perfect location for our combat training." she said. Koji nodded and threw a fist in the air with excitement.

Mika looked at Koji, *He seems pumped about the sports fest.* she thought, *Maybe... I should tell him how I feel about him once this is over.* Mika nodded to herself and smiled with Koji as well for the sports fest.
