Aftermath

In the nurse's office, Mika flinched a bit; she slowly opened her eyes and looked around. "Seems like you're awake, child." Mika turned her head and saw Recovery Girl in her chair. Mika slowly sat up, "Recovery Girl." she said, "Then that means..."

Recovery Girl nodded, "You were knocked out by Iida." she said. Mika looked at her bed, "I see..." she said as she clenched on the blanket, "I lost..." Recovery Girl gently patted Mika's back, "It's alright child, you gave it your all." she said.

Mika turned to Recovery Girl, "I know... but I'm not mad about it." she said. Mika smiled, "I'm happy that I got this far in the tournament." she continued; Recovery Girl was surprised and smiled a bit.

They heard the door open, making them turn towards it. They saw Saburo at the doorway, "Mika." he said. Saburo walked toward Mika and hugged her; she hugged him back, "Hey dad." she said.

As they separated, Mika saw Yuma enter the infirmary; she waved to her, "Hey mom." she said. Yuma waved back, "*How are you feeling?*" she signed. Mika looked at her arms, "It feels like I still have a few bruises on my body." she said, "Other than that, I'm fine."

Recovery Girl nodded, "That's correct." she said, "I healed mostly the bruises around her stomach area enough that it wouldn't hurt her. Since she used most of her energy with the fight and time freezing, the other bruises need to heal up naturally."

Saburo nodded and turned to Mika, "What you did was amazing." he said as he hugged her again, "Your mother and I are very proud of you." Yuma nodded and hugged Mika as well; she smiled and returned the hug.

Mika heard the door open and saw Koji, Kyoka, Momo, and Rikido enter the infirmary with worry, "Are you alright, Mika?" Kyoka asked. The parents let go of Mika and looked at the group; she smiled, "Hi guys." she said, "I'm fine, Kyoka."

Momo smiled, "I'm glad... you really gave it your all out there." she said, "I'm happy for you." Mika blushed a bit and rubbed her arm, "You really think so?" she said, "I thought it wasn't that great... unlike Midoriya and Todoroki."

Rikido shook his head, "No way! You were amazing." he said, "Especially when you froze time, that was awesome!" Mika's face got redder, "Th-Thanks..." she said lowly. Saburo and Yuma smiled, "Are these your friends?" Saburo asked.

Mika tried getting rid of her blush and nodded, "Y-Yeah... they're friends of mine from class." she said. Mika turned to them and pointed to Saburo and Yuma, "Everyone, these are my parents." she continued.

Momo walked towards them and held her hand out, "It's a pleasure to meet you Mr. and Mrs. Lyoko." she said. Saburo smiled and shook Momo's hand, "No need to be formal, call me Saburo." he said. Saburo shook Kyoka's hand and Rikido's hand as well with a smile.

When Saburo saw Koji, he had a bigger smile and held his hand out, "It's good to see you again, Koda." he said. Koji was shaking a bit but nodded and shook Saburo's hand; Kyoka looked at Mika confused, "Again?" she asked.

The others stared at Mika, making her blush a bit and look away, "W-Well... a-after the mall thing, Koda saw me at the park and was nice to walk me back home." she said, "M-My dad invited him to stay at my place for a bit and had dinner there."

Momo smiled, "Is that so?" she asked; Mika's face got redder, "Alright, that's enough!" Recovery Girl said, "She needs to rest for a bit."

They nodded, "We'll see you back at the stadium, Lyoko." Rikido said. Mika nodded and waved goodbye, "I'll see you guys later." she said; they waved goodbye and left the infirmary.

Mika sighed in relief and laid on her bed, "You have some great friends, child." Recovery Girl said smiling. Mika smiled, "Yeah... I'm lucky." she said.

Saburo nodded, "I believe the second round of the tournament is over." he said; Mika looked at him, "Who else made it?" she asked.

Saburo had his hand on his chin, "One student was a boy with a raven head... Tokoyami I believe was his name." he said, "And the kid who was captured by a villain during his middle school year... Bakugo was it, made it to the third round."

Mika smiled, "I'm glad... they deserve it." she said. They heard the door open, making them turn towards it. They saw Cementoss enter the infirmary, "Hello Lyoko." he said. Mika was surprised and sat up, "Cementoss-sensei, what are you doing here?" she asked.

Cementoss smiled a bit, "The students are having a break before the last rounds." he said, "I'm glad that you're awake now." Saburo looked at Cementoss, "And why is that?" he asked.

Cementoss looked at Saburo, "I have an offer for your daughter, Mr. Lyoko." he said. Mika looked at Cementoss, "An offer?" she asked.

Cementoss nodded, "I know it's too early for this." he said. Cementoss turned to Mika, "But... I would like to offer you a hero internship with me." he continued; her eyes widened, "Are you serious, Sensei!?" she shouted.

Cementoss nodded, "What I saw throughout your fights was impressive." he said, "However... even though your Quirk can give you incredible, you lack some battle techniques."

Mika nodded, "It makes sense." she said; she looked at her hand, "I may get the abilities from animals, but I can't make a lot of battle techniques since I know too many creatures." she continued

Cementoss nodded, "But, if you come to my hero agency, I can teach you some battle techniques you didn't know you could use for your Quirk." he said.

Mika looked at Cementoss, "Mika Lyoko, do you accept my offer?" he asked. Mika smiled, "Yes!" she shouted, "I accept your hero internship, Sensei!" Cementoss smiled, "I have one question about this, Cementoss." Mika turned to Saburo, "Your hero agency... where is it exactly?"

Cementoss turned to Saburo, "It's in the Tohoku region." he said, "The Yamagata Prefecture to be specific." Saburo got worried, "Please dad." he turned to Mika, "I know that his agency isn't in our region, but I might not get a chance like this."

Saburo sighed and looked at Mika, "Alright... just be careful out there, okay." he said. Mika smiled and hugged Saburo, "Thank you, daddy!" she shouted in glee; he smiled and hugged her back.

Cementoss smiled, "I'll let Aizawa know that you're reserved for my hero agency." he said, "But he'll still give you the paper of recommendations since you were part of the tournament."

Mika nodded, "Either way, I'm happy about this." she said. Saburo smiled and looked at Recovery Girl, "Well then... it seems like you can move around now, child." she said. "You should join your friends and watch the rest of the tournament."

Mika nodded, "Right!" she shouted; she got out of bed and left the infirmary. Afterwards, Mika saw the match between Fumikage and Katsuki and the match between Tenya and Shoto with the others.

Mika was shocked at the last match between Shoto and Katsuki, and surprised that Shoto almost used his fire Quirk on Katsuki, but suddenly stopped. The last match made Katsuki the winner, but he was not happy about it as he was in chains.

Mika was excited to see All Might give the medals to the top three and end the tournament. Mika had a blast with the others, but she was really excited about her hero internship.

(Time Skip)

The day after the sports festival at night, Mika was in her room looking at her clothes. They were lucky that there was no class the day after the festival because Mika had to pack her things for her trip.

Mika packed some short and long-sleeved shirts, shorts, pants, and other personal things, "If my memory serves me correctly, the Tohoku region has some bizarre climates." she said.

Mika put her hand on her chin, "The Yamagata Prefecture has some pretty high and low temperatures, but I think it's mostly low." she continued, "Hopefully, the weather isn't too bad."

Mika heard a knock on the door, "Yeah." she said. Saburo entered Mika's room and looked at her suitcase, "I see you're getting some of your clothes packed for your internship." he said.

Mika nodded, "I'm too excited about this trip, so I'm packing some things early." she said. Saburo smiled and patted Mika's head, "I'm glad, sweetheart." he said as he looked away for a bit.

Mika tilted her head, "Are you still worried that the internship isn't in our region?" she asked. Saburo stayed silent, making Mika sigh, "Dad... don't worry about me." she said, "I'll be careful during my internship."

Saburo nodded and hugged Mika, "I know... but seeing my daughter getting an internship beforehand puts tears in my eyes because my little Mika is growing up." he said.

Mika laughed as she hugged Saburo back, "Some children have to grow up, dad." she said. Saburo nodded, "I know... I just can't believe it." he said.

Mika smiled, "I'll always be your little girl." she said as she snuggled on his shoulder, "I love you, daddy." Saburo smiled a bit, "I love you too, dear." he said; there was silence.

Saburo turned his head to Mika and noticed that she was asleep. Saburo smiled as he laid Mika in her bed and kissed her forehead, "Good night, my little princess." he said as he turned the lights off and closed the door behind her.
