Chapter I
Gweedore Flatlands Flight of Mana
Here we have the next generation gifted with an education in the old way of arcane wizardry and enchantments.
Driven to complex study, And a desire to know all with what will take many lifetimes to obtain. Leaving one to question where to start, What to read, and how to best utilize the knowledge that comes with new wisdom. No, not one person knows what is in the mind of a madman. Seething with a desire for a painful end to all things. This is the evil of the ignorant. Those on the left of things. In the flatlands of Gweedore, walking in the light of the brisk night moon set totally high is the beautiful stars gleaming with sparkle like snow on a bright clear day." oh, how the stars sparkle." Said a young woman of 15 years of age weighing 120, bright blonde, highly educated with a mastery of available charms and fundamental skills, gifted with the ability to make her own Mana, could be a Diva in her own right. As for her height, she stood 5'4" tall with long legs.
She is slender, firm white with a teal blue tone as she has high silver content. Blood type as it be is 0 positive she is equipped with a tunic of silk and a silver breastplate fur scarf of blue with red and gold embroidery overlapping a Celtic design with silver charms sown in for protection and added speed increase in power. She is strapped with a short dagger and arm guards; her legs are protected with white fur and leather leggings, blue and silver crafted leather high up to her hip.
She is wearing a tilted skirt, long on the right and medium, short on the left, with black edges, gold trim, and silver lined with fur. She also wears an inner legging thigh-high white eight inches from her outer thigh with a light green and white striped under shorts covered by a leather girdle overlaid by her waist, a leather Fauld dyed blue with silver and gold and metal stuffed between the shielding leather. Wittingly equipped with a hidden short sword in each of her knee-high greaves with side daggers, she surely would never disarm the thought. While walking with her betrothed. Mana is no damsel to be saved for sure. As they went forward, night came more quickly. Mana was filled with awe and wonder as she felt freer the further she had from a town like that, an adventure. Even though she knew they must return to spring crest, she asked Toma!! Mana exclaimed. "Would it be selfish, To build a small cabin here." filled with glee, Mana mumbled, "Just for us."" Perhaps, Toma replied." Toma would be 19 years of age. By the time they planned to be married, he would be 24. Standing tall, Toma is 5'10", weighs 170, wears a blue scarf, is Hooded with light red (pink) inner lining, and has high-grade armor covered by a cloak with blood type 0 negative. Rambling on, Mana was displeased with his response. Mana loved Gweedore with a passion," Irked, she says. Quite frankly, it's a good idea. If we were the first to claim just a tiny portion. We could protect Gweedore. Starting the foundation around here should be solid for a Manor, nah, ney a castle, a court in the Flatlands of Gweedore. Just for us, think of the peace we would have from those bullies in my hometown. Oh, you're too young to get married, as Mana complained. I'm betrothed and would be 17 when the prewedding year begins and 18 on the marriage day. As well as ranting furiously about them. Being soured by their peers. I am in a fixed marriage of my design. I'm happy. like they were any better." "Hypocrites" are a lot of them. exclaimed Toma." It was as if she were already married. All the while, Mana was baring her soul desire and planning her dream wedding. Uhg sighed, Toma. Mana intricately planned what she wanted for her seventeenth year. She was interrupted by the wrenching cry for help. By a screaming girl …Mana, If we built he...r...e... silenced a loud scream.
The interruption Alarmed, Toma slowed down listening when he realized that what he was hearing were the unmistakable sounds of a struggle. heavy breathing, frantic screaming, the crying of fear a great distance away from where I stood, a girl was being attacked. Crying HEE...alp ME petrified by fear the girl could not flee. Mana, confused, said a friend here.Menacingly overlooked. The Shadow-like figure standing. Fiendishly, the foul ghoul of a man shrieked loudly as his voice sounded like grinding metal gleefully as he continued tearing her flesh, unbearable sounding as she screamed full of agony. The fiend cleaved into her chest for her heart hidden within; he knew of the fairy enchantment, a source for a new element only to be drawn out through fear and pain. "As Toma realized who the man was gathering his wits for elemental charms, hastily readying himself as a precaution," "What poor soul has he now." Toma weeps silently in words. The body of his latest victim dangling, nearly lifeless, gasping for hope. The mysterious evil fiend exclaimed. "The eyes!" Toma, knowing who this abominable man is, whispers his name. "Lux." shrieked, sounding like metal continuously grinding, piercing through them filled with feelings of dread." It is the Eye, That tells you everything." "What kind of a Fiend is this! what is it doing here." Mana exclaimed. Peering through the thicket. Across by is the forest of blight while moving silently out of his sight. Toma explained. "He is what they call a "DEATH SEEKER," Mana quietly interrupted. "What.?" finishing his explanation, "A person wanting to die, searching for the power of the afterlife" Mana looked closely at the girl. Trying to see his victim. Lux takes his time torturing her. leaving the both of them frustrated, Toma knows all the while there is nothing he can do lest he exposes Mana to the same fate. "I know the trouble We are in, for if we stay, We must go," said Toma. Mana whispered, "The girl is still alive; we have to do something; he is a monster; let's fight him." Mana, Enraged at Toma's hesitation to kill the fiend." Creeping closer to get a better vantage point noticed the girl. Choking on her tears says. "Oh, My God!!!" With a pause from behind, Toma grabbed hold of her, holding her back while he was distracted, trying to enhance and enchant his equipment. Mana thought loudly! "I can hear her so loudly the poor woman is still trying to escape." What can we do, Toma? Mana cried, using a small charm, his weakness only seeing her; instead, it was as if he had no life force. "Wait ""No, can't be her; I know her; that's Tribeca Robins, daughter of Patrick Williams and Lily Lovegrove." "We were in the same academy," crying as she struggled to move ….. Toma holding tight, Mana weakens with tears on her face. Her friend is being slaughtered. Mana softly whispered, "How can I tell her family." Mana Cried, not knowing how to tell them. "Navi, Merry, Piper "Oh!" "Aine will die of heartache." Mana struggled and fought loose, Toma tried to explain they were no match quickly, and quietly Toma stopped Mana from moving forward to fight, pulling her back. Said, "Move, let's go!" We need to flee,". Mana, sobbing, said. "We must stop her; PLEASE, Toma, save her." "There is no fighting him to save her, sorrow the ache of pain doth make this unfortunate we can do nothing. She is mortally wounded and will surely die." Drawing Mana away, we need to flee." said Toma. casting haste and levitating to hide their sound and tracks. Toma warns her as they swiftly rush a great distance away. "Lux, the leading general of The Crying Phoenix army, the great mutilator Lux." Mana shrieked in fright. "That is general Lux. He destroyed the traveling merchant town of Plymouth City. "Calmly explaining with eyes filled with tears. "My mom and dad went there." as she paused to breathe, she uttered a faint sob as she went into shock." I was told to meet them at Tome's of Terra; compendiums are next to Nimbus antiques, across from elements rare and charms; surely you've been there." "right!?" they said, hoping Toma Would be prepared for battle. "I am unsure if I will see them; it's been seven months." Mana cries. "Toma whispered softly to comfort her. "If you do, they should be in the tunnels of Kyrat far beneath Corona beyond Daruna, a Tri Delta City where refugees flee to hide and rebuild their lives. Remember when I said that I would get you there? I know you have been waiting and preparing to travel. It was supposed to be part of our engagement journey, for it would take at least a year to arrive. For now, we just need to get far from here" Toma and Mana made a good distance and set up camp for the night just outside the neighboring village, trying not to draw attention; daylight drew back her curtain, and the night fell quietly. Anon had the day broken in, and the morning dew fell from the trees. A mist came around the campsite with a crisp smell of leaves and fauna; Toma returned with a sack of the wild game. describing how he had fought a few slimes and some weird orks. making a fire for the freshly caught meat. Toma left stealthy to gather water and more wood. hearing a disturbance, he returned to Mana. when Mana told him, she noticed sets of traps and people fleeing the nearby villages of Kura and Pika. Sister villages where Sages and Scholars and Protectors of hidden books, scrolls, and the forbidden compendium of Toma unite for prayer. Kurapika, when united, becomes a place where darkness is expelled with the shimmering lights of love and prayer, not by magic but rather by the power of faith. Surprisingly they are strong and mighty for peacekeepers. What were Toma and Mana to do but disarm the traps? They would save many peaceful people. set on their way, not knowing they would cross the evil that plagues all in his path. General Lux in battle. Toma shouted, "Mana, Look, Run!" She turns away from releasing the snare and sees Toma struck with a lethal Elemental charm from a distance Lux. strike back, Mana cried while Toma fell, his head gashed open. Both were caught by surprise. All Mana could do. Remedy, Potions, Expel. Even landing a critical hit on Lux is rarely ever done. Lux swung back. Mana Knocked back an acre with just a slap from Lux. Hoping that Toma would spring back up into battle. Everything was happening so fast tears were in her eyes. Looking closely, he had blood from his head gushing outward Mana, with a broken rib, used the revealing charm and mended herself quickly, returning to Toma. Mana realized and knew he had no chance. Potions would not work on him anymore. Toma was slowed, steadily, gaining his strength and wit. strikes back with a rapid attack, countering Lux and his most Powerful Magics, rapidly Toma loses his vigor. His stamina decreased while using Aurora blast, Divine light, Dark heart, and Wind of Persephone; Toma countered Lux's magic spell for a spell, element for element, and attack for attack. Unable to focus, Toma fell unconscious in battle.
There was nothing more he could do. It seemed like physical attacks that were strong enough rendered useless. Using up his stamina for the elements seemingly, it had no effect. He tried to Spring poison, snare, siphon, drawing very little from him, even power from Drain. Lux seems to be immune.
Mana used venom and toxic bombs. Lux shining armor is too strong. Faint and frantic, Toma thought he had just been equipped with a powerful weapon and armor. If he can't even penetrate his magic wall or Pierce Lux's physical defenses, there would be no chance for Mana to Escape all that was left was where he could only sacrifice himself and hope that Mana was quick enough. Crossing his Kris sword for a quick strike, an Earth Shield element to hold Lux back long enough. Mana quickly grabbed his Infinity bag and fled. Though she was still injured and the bag was torn. It was still strong enough to hold many magical items she could use. Toma knew it would serve Mana well. If only she would get away, Lux is luminous in the edge and heat of battle, distracted by Mana and her reach Toma. Lux desired a new Target Mana. "Her eyes she has a rare arcane power. Did I not see before she struck me?" laughed Lux. Distracted, Toma charges for a flurry of quick flash strikes attempting to blur Lux's vision. Toma knew he had to attack faster now. He should be dead, Lux thought. Chanting quickly, then shouted, "Dawning Crystal Lights, The heavenly strike," Dashing and slashing wildly. Finally, his magic was at its peak. Toma uses some of his rarest and most dangerous yet difficult magics.
Lux laughs. Walking toward Mana. Toma, missing his Target, drinks a forbidden endura potion created by karma curia labs and rushes after him. Seeing Lux was set on her, there was nothing left, only to take the sword of Lux. To distract himToma reached all he could think. What's this? It is the end of my life, the moment he will die. Mana made a quick dash past the trees beyond sight. This comforted Toma even after he had been stabbed several times by his own Flaming sword. "Sad, really; I just placed a lightning and ice Charm binding their Enchantment." "A normal man, there would be no coming back from these attacks," said Lux. Toma, The King Of Twilight. as Lux seemingly knew him. Toma replied, "I will have my day, and you will have your desire." Lux retorted, "Well, maybe not this day, Toma. "Mana hiding by the thicket nearby, quickly and quietly sets mage potions attempting to heal Tomas's injuries during his final fight with no sign of success. Filled with malic, "She will be mine. Shouted Lux eagerly. "Show me, girl, show me your eyes; look at me," Lux exclaimed menacingly.
Toma strikes before Lux's final hit. Now Toma, indeed, is mortally wounded. Left for dead. Lux moves slowly to savor his second victim. Getting closer to Mana. Toma said softly, "Part life, part death, sweet is my charm, sorrow my vigor. hell hath not bound my life for life. "casting the forbidden fairy spell Mercury's plight on Mana, rendering Toma motionless depending on his remaining arcana to move him blindly by a will to live. Miles away. To the surprise of Lux saying. "who has such speed," Mana wanted to use what power she could from Toma's infinity bag.
There were many charms and potions in the bag. The man was afraid to even look after what she had seen take place during the battle. Many of the powers she had seen in her training were not even comparable to the horror of that battle. The day turned the night; upside down was right side up; no space like Earth had faded from her grasp. What she had seen was unimaginable. Knowing this was his bag, she kept it to her side, running, casting Hast, Flight, Strengthen, Magic Barrier, PsiPush, limit, break, everything she could think of just in case she would have to fight. Making her way past Lamia's territory, there was a half-broken new bridge. Amazed at the elemental charms Toma put in her pocket grid as he held her back. Passing towns hundreds of miles away from the forest, let alone the impossible power she now had but no skill to use them. "I'm far from Gweedore Now," Pausing to catch herself for a moment's rest, tears dried, crusting her cheeks like sand. They felt stiff flaking as the wind had bound against her while she ran. Stopping to breathe, she thought maybe I was far enough for now. She sat looking upward as the day began, noon set high. Fainting in a field of clover. His face she will never forget.
chapter II
Fleeing To Twist City Mana's Escape
Wondering for a while aimlessly, she found a small building and hid there. In search of instruction scrolls and journals. To learn what power she would draw out. Mana opened the bag gaining courage. Mana emptied every content she could, enough to fill several dozen Merchant wagons. "Wow," shouted Mana nervously, "even tattered and torn still, the infinity bag held together." Its contents, she worried the bag would not hold much longer. "I would be overburdened by the weight of it," Mana exclaimed. "A piece of enchanted Materia. "Is this it." thought Mana as she dug through the bag? Just what I needed to hold you. She thought, working absent-minded by the traumatic battle crying, seeing Toma wounded so badly, and nothing she could do but flee a horror she could not shake. While gathering herself, pretending nothing happened for her sake and sanity, closing in on the city using a seeing stone. She exclaimed, ". Finally, it's close. I'm nearly there. "She stopped to finish mending the infinity bag holding it together and made repairs knowing to find a bag like this would be difficult as well costly. Even so, the Infinity bag is filled with powerful armor, weapons, charms, gems, elements, enchantment Scrolls, Tomes of forbidden spells, and spellbinding rings. She had not been seen in any library or training Expo, and a chest from the Royal Academy of Elemental and experimental science. "Surely he did not steal these, Yet if not, he must be far more skilled than what I saw. This was the bag that masters sages, mages, and wizards envy. Even the high court of Elven magic." while deep in thought, despair creepily fell over her as if Lux was not far tracking her every move behind her. "Toma still fell in battle." She shouted, "What a nightmare." "Wake me please!" sobbing, she would faint from the pain in her ribs and fatigue. Waking moments later to continue onward. Lux, and how would she rid the world of such evil knowing that Wizards are not particularly thought of fondly by normal Folk entering a small town for food. Hiding Toma's Bag, knowing that she could be burned. Such as those with simple minds. Filling it back to its original well-organized state. "I could not possibly carry its contents without the Infinity bag." Mana is upset by the chaos that UwU and LOL left here. Appearing from nowhere, Time seemingly slowed down; a portal opened, stunned curiosity seeing another city remarkably far. Curious Mana attempted running through to no success and with a bound, knocking her back and down the slope to a river. "Good thing no one saw it." Soaked Mana said. Wondered if she deserved the hardship. Looking back, Mana looking up saw a girl coming through. She called herself Ashera Maine at your service. A mysterious Cat looking girl working as a post keeper left a packing from The Magia Royal Master's Keep signed and officially inspected for quality by chief meister Tungsten and master distribution officer Elizabeth Stone. "A box here, FOR ME, AT A TIME LIKE This!!!!" Mana shouted in anger. "Mana is your name, right? Well, it did come with a letter," said Ashera.
IT READS.
"for my future betrothed with love to be delivered upon engagement. A gift from my Royal Keep. May your journey be swift." It had already been three months till now to Mana, just a few hours past. She noticed the time stamp on the leftmost parcel? opened and pleased to see
what had he foreseen? Such an event? She seemed surprised as it was her favorite color of different shades of blue, yellow, and pink she hated pink, but she loved it because he had it. As Mana equipped her new armor, she noticed it was made directly from his attire specifically for her. She thought how romantic a matching set was forgetful due to the traumatic stress she had endured. Ready, she set on her way with a new sword and wand; she thought the sword would be better as the one looked ceremonial. She would find later that it would be more powerful than the sword. "Wow, such a gift; you are a lucky girl." Said, Ashera Maine. "Well, Portals are closing; hope I see you again." disappearing through the portal. she put it away and hoped to preserve such a beautiful weapon. As she went down to the field, she noticed Lux luminous, rushing through the field time started moving as normally as if he knew where she was. She thought, how could he? Surely I was fast enough, she thought; how could you have caught up? I knew I shouldn't have stopped. your eyes show me. Your eyes tell me everything. said, Lux. panicked, Mana reached for a charm attempting to attack but struck herself mistakenly as she knew nothing about Toma's charms nor Toma's elements. LuckyLucky for her, she wore new armor made specifically for High magic defense and speed; dazed by her own attack, she managed to pull herself together. Mana feared for her life in pain, blasted by a lightning charm, making a quick escape wearing Toma's armor and the clothes he gave her. At least he thought she may escape to find her family. This is the beginning of his pain, for he left half-dead Toma, The King Of Twilight. Toma lay quietly in the field, pulling himself, knowing that Lux Luminous was after Mana, barely capable of moving. Body shredded, he managed to pull himself to a stone, making a quick decision. Toma summoned a Golem, which carried him, barely conscious Toma gave the temporary Golem control of the Golem, thinking to protect Mana as he sat Toma down to go on through rushing to her Aid. The Golem seemed to know what to do at the moment, pulling down through the trail through the field, tunneling through earth, reemerging. Lux was attempting to snare Mana; He grabbed hold tightly and hardened over Lux, covering him; blinded from Lux's sight, the battle was over. the Golem had sunk into the earth with Lux Mana made her way from lux murderous grip. You could hear her call him. Was he still alive? Is the golem proof of her new hope? Fainting, she awoke much later in the quiet town of "Cross Haven." She met three elf brothers and two girls traveling as stowaways from port to port. It seems they pulled her from a capsule made of crystal stone. That they had dug and uncovered in a field of ruins. They were indeed surprised she was still alive. After their introduction. Judas, Janus, Jonus, Novira, and< enter name >Having trouble remembering, Mana decided to travel alongside them onward blindly, set out to sea only for a month and a year since her encounter. Mana would make a long journey to Twist City with an eerie dread looming over her. Unable to shake off this ratcheting sensation of fear. Believing where she would find security and regaining her fragmented memory safeguarded by High Elves, Her stay in Port Azlan, The drift water town of Dash Stratus, The bootlegger was short-lived; Mana knew one year and a month was only just the beginning of her journey. She had traveled far beyond the sea, fumbling through the bag strapped tightly to her side, and found letters to her only a fraction of her memory. Just the place I heard of. Just one place would bring her comfort. in the city of Daruna. Where she would look for her family in Kyrat. At the start of her travels from Twist City, she heard a voice calling her, remembering the chaos as she looked over the balcony at the new city of Verona, 1/2 City away from Daruna. Recovering from her pain, she went through all the inventory she had slowly pulled a letter she read from Ashera Maine. Said, "For my future betrothed with love to be delivered upon engagement. A gift from my Royal Keep may make your journey Swift." "FROM MY ROYAL KEEP!" she shouted. excited, happy it was true he's not a lie or false memory. He is real and angered at this; it seems all but dead. He should have caught up, maybe? She thought he was dead, and the Golem was his final act. She knew at least he wasn't a fake but a prince or king. How long has it been since she was able to think? This numbness poured in over her like a torrent of frost waving in motion like flames. Now at this moment, she would loathe the memory of him, the last one she would ever love; maybe they were all right; maybe she was too young to marry. For her to have everything stripped from her in one moment. So early, the pain in her chest was unbearable. She would drink sleeping potions to aid her dreamlessly through the night, Or day choosing according to her comfort, never knowing if it was her last. All the while drinking a potion, she laughed, "FROM MY ROYAL KEEP." "HAA!!! HAA. MAYBE HE WAS JOKING TO IMPRESS ME." laying down softly, she had thought it so disturbing it weakened the potion's effect. You can't send a parcel from a royal post if you're not really a king, as it needs a king's sealed order of approval by the meister chief. Maybe he is a prince and his father a king. With that, Mana fell dreamless.
Chapter III
A Dream of Lives Past and Future's Quake
Toma, his dark brown hair, And how the sun would hit his eyes. Bright blue with a light purple ring sparks as the moonlight strikes his face. Seemed like a short dream, and after waking, trying harder. Mana would gain glimpses of him. Start Glowing with the moonlight would show figures of him in the light of the moon's shadow. Her betrothed. All you would see was his eyes. They sparkle and crackle like stars shimmering in the night. He would have this funny look on his face. Mana remembered how she'd make a terrible cook, even burning water. He would say, "How can you scorch the water?" As steam-like smoke filled the air, he remembered Toma as he looked at her, loving every moment. She knew she would be the greatest love in her life. He'd watched her try to serve him helplessly as a cook. She, more than enough, is better suited for healing and battle than as a servant. Toma, with forethought, gazed at her future, wishing for more time. Toma decided when and what to give from his keep, even trying to avoid such a gruesome fate.
Mana's appearance changed the longer she stayed in Daruna. Lighter blonde with an asper glow of blue in her eye, pale white with a golden blue tan while she bathed in the light of Daruna, a half-elf city saddened by the distance and time two years past since her brief stay in Twist City years she thought it's been longer. "I would be Queen, The youngest on record in spring crest. And now I need more gill, Even after I lost that beautiful wand to that thieving merchant. If only I could have stayed at Spring Crest." Remembering the name, absentmindedly smiling. Mana turning in for the evening, troubled by sleeplessness.
[Mana had dreamt she lay in a nightmare lost to time. While rushing, She used a forbidden charm. I have to get away. She said, "I need to be faster." Running as if she were lightning moving through the air, amazed but short-lived, the charm burst into tiny shards. Safe away for now ", Yes, I'm safe here" To her surprise, lux luminous emerged from the faded stone wall grabs her as he menacingly looked straight into her eyes. She could feel every section of her skin ripped from her body as if her friend had cried for justice. And her eyes slowly peeled back, drained of life in Terror. She screamed loudly, petrified, motionless no one had heard Mana. No one came to save her, trapped at that moment, slowly being ripped apart to be devoured by his eyes with lashes of teeth. Lux scanned every part to feast upon, feeling empowered by her fear of him.] Mana heard a loving voice shout for her from a deep place in her heart.
("Awaken, Tis a dream." Mana awakened, and a voice faded, slowly not yet unheard. She hears a girl still, Saying softly, "Awaken mana" She lay there, unable to move awake. "Who are you, Toma? Is that you?" Said Mana. "Awaken.") Mana wakening from her terror-filled dream, shouts. "You idiot, why did you die? If not for me." She regained her hidden memory, making a move. Still mourning her loss of a man and the kingdom she would have had as Queen, she thought that being Queen to hell with the power of its ruling means nothing if only for a moment she would trade it for him. A struggle for sure. Heading out to the local Ironsmith. Mana dresses up in his tunic of ash blue. Still singed, By the furnace wearing it while stopping at the silversmith first. Making a gem-beaded wand to have enchanted by the druid elven counsel. The half-fairy legacy, which yet had no name. They were a new generation made a gift she would never use. Heartbroken by the loss of her stolen wand to part with this one made similarly, beautifully, and crafted by her. She returned and slipped into his armor. Noticed her chest was half a size bigger. Angered, it means she needed to expand. What now is completely comfortable attire Mana more than petite, Growing up. She will start fasting, skipping her food rations. Maintaining the overwhelming desire never to change what she has left of him. Finishing up with Boots of dragon skin, And hydra Fang strapped with wolfsbane furs made her fast, light, and stealthy. Though not for young women, she fits well. She was lost at work needing an excuse; it still required repair. "Why don't you use my tools here to make your repairs?" Asked the weapon Ironsmith. "Sighing." Mana retorted, "Nah, ney" "She was not quite skilled yet, nor was she. "leveling up, she would need to be at least a steel-class metalworker. Not to mention, The rarity of the items in question. If only she knew his spell for Materia's manipulation and manifestation, she could do the rest herself; they were falling apart. Walking over to the terrace, Mana saw her skillset. Fighting off the slime, ogres, imps, drakes, and wrath, she found nothing that scares her. This was just another day.
