The Love He's Been Yearning For

My mother was just there standing in silence whilst my father was making rude gestures. It's always been like this and sometimes it takes a great toll on my mental health.

"Ethan has been trying to avoid," Theodore sighed, exasperation clear in his tone, " his encounters with you."

He's not wrong about what he said. I'm always trying to avoid things that involves my mother. She's changed a lot, not the same person, not the same caring and loving mother I used to have. If only I could turn back time just to feel that kind of love that I've always been yearning for.

"Then give me a chance to make it up to the both of you." Josefina said in a sympathetic tone, "Please I wanna fix things with my son."

My father then faced the window and then turned back to my mother, "Give you a chance?"

Theodore said in a vindictive tone,"I cannot give you that."

"If I can't make it up to you." Josefina replied in a worried tone, "Can I at least try to make it up with our son?"

Father pulled out a file from his drawer and showed it to mother. " You see this?" Theodore said, "I was gonna give us space for a lifetime."

"It's okay if you'll file a divorce." Josefina said, "I'm just here to fix things with Ethan and not to get back with you."

"I already have another family, Ethan has a sister." Josefina added, "If he can't love me, I hope he can love his sister."
