Tactics Fails!

Old man Clifford was amused by Zack Lockwood's reaction.

He said, "The Dark Variant Faction released a new statement. They have proposed a betting match again. This time the bet is the Soul Calming Liquid."

"It can cure soul injuries of Black Mark Warriors and above," he added.

Hearing that, my eyes flashed with a glint. I have soul techniques as well. So far, I have yet to come across anything that threatens my soul.

"Should I go for it?" I asked in my heart.

Then I immediately shook my head.

"Faction Leader, I don't want to take the risk," I replied straightforwardly. Even though I know the reward is tempting, life is more important.

Clearly, the Dark Variant Faction has the idea of killing me. So I won't give them any chance.

"You are clever. I thought you would be tempted," Clifford said with a smile.
