"The Crash"

"When fate speaks, one stops talking."

"The universe sets no limits, we limit ourselves by our beliefs."

I was still thinking about the myth Miss Stone was telling when I got out of school. In fact, everything was more like a fairy tale than a myth, but still none of us had questioned it. No matter how many questions I wanted to ask, I held back and did not speak. I smiled at her and opened my arms as Gwen rushed to me, her brown hair waving.

After she hugged me, she took my hand and started running. Before I could ask what had happened, Gwen had taken me to the nearest stop and already seated there.

"What are you doing again, my dear friend?"

"Oh... Elizabeth, you know I wait at this stop every day, right?"

"Yes, I know, Gwen. Come on and say what you want. I want to go home and sleep as soon as possible."

"Sorry, Elizabeth, you can't go home today and go to your classic hibernation, my friend!"

"Why is that? Who do we follow again, Gwen?"

When I asked about it, Gwen widened her eyes and looked at me in confusion. This girl must not know that I still knew her well.

"How did you get it, Elizabeth?"

"Tell me, Gwen, who is this new prey now?"

"Our new prey is called Tom. He's a football player. He's going to private college. Even the college belongs to him. Anyway, this kid is rich and doesn't mind getting on the bus, I asked that myself. And-"

"So what, did you really ask the guy about this, Gwen? I can't believe you."

"What's wrong with that, Elizabeth! We had a conversation at the bottom. I mean, more precisely, I bombarded him with my questions."

"Well done, chatter. I'm sure after that day he decided not to get on the bus again. He may even have sworn."

"No, dear. No. He shouldn't have done it. Look, don't get on my nerves. We'll see now. I said I'll introduce him to a friend of mine. Oh look, the bus came, let's get on!"

"Oh no, Gwen! Your home is far away! It's hard for me to come back. My mom is going to kill me!"

"I told your mom she let you stay with us tonight. Let's go!"

Gwen pulled me and put me on the bus and started to move in the direction of two handsome boys. One of the boys smiled at Gwen, while the other greeted severely. When Gwen turned and called me right as she walked to them, the bus braked and I literally flew in that direction. I realized again and again what a small body I had when a pair of arms grabbed me. When I looked at the person who caught me, I saw he was the serious guy just before. But he was looking at my face in a confused, rather than serious, way. Gwen saw that I was nervous when she coughed lightly and looked at me expectantly.

"Oh ... Well, I'm Elizabeth. I'm Gwen's best friend. Pleased."

The guy with brown hair reached out to me. I think this was the guy Gwen liked.

"I'm Tom, Elizabeth. Gwen has talked about you a lot. I'm glad too."

When I looked at the guy holding me, he winked at me and held out his hand.

"Dylan."

Just as I was to answer, a car crashed ahead and the noise spread. As the car exploded and started to burn, our bus tried to stop with a painful brake squeal. Everyone on the bus that started to slide on the road when he could not stop was screaming. Dylan's face tightened and he took cover for me. Before I knew what was happening, we hit somewhere and swung forward quickly. An unnamed bird rang in my ears as Dylan hugged me.

I was on the verge of fainting when the bus quickly hit the other car. Before I lost consciousness, the bird's voice, whose name I still don't know, was echoing in my ears.

The place where I opened my eyes was a universe I had never seen before in my life. It was like I was in space, but I was also in the world. It was as if I was in the sky and in the ocean at the same time. This feeling was indescribable. Everywhere was on fire when I looked around. Although I was standing in the middle of the fire, my body was not burning, but I felt even stronger. One side of me was blue while the other was red. My soul was cold while my heart was burning. I closed my eyes and listened to the voices. The fire was talking to me, the wind was whispering to me. When I opened my eyes back, I saw a phoenix with feathers as bright as the sun before me. Tears were running from its blue eyes and it hurts me too. I wanted to help it, to relieve its pain. When I started walking towards it, phoenix backed away.

When I whispered "Don't be afraid..." I noticed that my own tears were running too.

"Why are you crying?" I wiped my face with the back of my hand when he asked. The cry of this bird was hurting me. I ignored his question. He understood that I would not answer so he continued to speak.

"Don't cry, your heart is warm enough to laugh-"

And finished as if I knew he was going to say.

"My soul is cold enough to want to cry..."

While looking at each other, suddenly sirens filled my head.

"I would say find me, Elizabeth. But the day you were born, your heart and soul found me already. All I want from you is to be strong. Soon, we will find each other. Don't be afraid when you see the fire in the shadow. Darkness is the most reliable guardian..."

After he said this, he started burning in front of my eyes and turned into ashes and melted into the air. As I thought I was losing consciousness again, I was actually regaining my consciousness.
