My Luna, My Brat

Yvienna blinked twice, trying to steady herself. She found herself staring into his eyes—those mesmerizing eyes she had longed to see just moments ago. And now, here they were, right in front of her. She pushed him back gently, scanning him from head to toe. Kyle looked momentarily confused but quickly recovered, pulling her into another tight hug.

"I should be the one asking if you're okay!" Yvienna's voice was laced with concern as she examined his face. His eyes held a trace of exhaustion, but it only added to his appeal. He reached up, fingers raking through his messy hair, unintentionally making himself even more attractive.

"Why didn't you come to class today? Hmm?" she questioned, tilting her head.

Kyle smirked. "Why? Did you miss me?"

Heat rushed to her cheeks. She cleared her throat, feigning indifference, and scratched her nose.

"D-don't change the topic! I asked if you're okay, so b-better answer it, idiot!"

Kyle leaned in closer, chuckling. "I'm fine, Ms. Bratty." Before she could react, he pressed a light kiss to her forehead.

"S-stop it! Someone might see us!" she protested, shoving him away gently as she hurriedly fixed her shirt. Kyle crouched slightly, squinting at her as if he had just caught her saying something forbidden.

"What? Afraid Nico might see us?" His voice held a sharp edge.

Yvienna frowned, taken aback. Why did he mention Nico all of a sudden? Confusion and a flicker of sadness crossed her features as she slowly met his gaze, trying to decipher his emotions.

"D-do you believe the rumors too?" Her voice wavered, a subtle plea hidden beneath her words. The thought of him believing those lies sent a dull ache through her chest.

Kyle's eyes widened, and he immediately grasped her arms, his expression urgent. "N-no! I don't believe any of that garbage. I know you, Yvienna. You may be a brat, but you're not a whore."

A wave of relief washed over her. For a fleeting moment, she had feared the worst. Rumors had never scared her before—she had always been able to brush them off. But Kyle was different. His opinion mattered to her in ways she couldn't explain, and the idea of him doubting her had been terrifying.

"I-I'm sorry," Kyle muttered, looking away. "Jealousy got the best of me."

Yvienna sighed before reaching up to pinch his cheek. "Idiot."

His reaction made her smile. Even though she had a reputation for being difficult, there were still people who believed in her—and she was especially grateful that Kyle was one of them. The quiet of the empty hallway surrounded them, a moment of peace settling between them. She realized then that even if the world were silent, without Kyle, she wouldn't feel as secure. He had become her safe space without her even noticing.

"Thank you for believing me," she whispered, wrapping her arms around him.

Kyle stiffened in surprise. His heart pounded, and he barely managed to suppress his nervous breath. Even though he was always confident, the unexpected embrace made him self-conscious—did he even smell good right now? Not that it mattered; his perfume never failed him.

"Kids these days, tsk."

The sudden voice made them jolt apart. They turned to see a janitor casually mopping the floor, not even sparing them a glance. Yvienna's face turned crimson, and without thinking, she bolted down the hall. Kyle let out a chuckle before jogging after her.

"Are you not coming inside the gym?" she asked, panting slightly as she looked back at him.

"No. I'm not prepared, and I'm not in uniform."

She nodded slowly, though disappointment flickered in her eyes. Still, as long as it was Kyle, it was okay.

"Then… see you tomorrow?" she offered.

Kyle scoffed. "No. I'll come pick you up later. Tell your driver you have someone else taking you home." He winked at her.

She stood frozen, stunned by his confidence, but eventually nodded.

"Good. Study well, my Luna." He reached out, pinching her cheek playfully. "And don't let any man, especially Nico, teach you badminton. I can do that."

With that, he waved at her and walked away, leaving her speechless.

"B-bye," she muttered under her breath.

"Hey! What took you so long?! Class is already dismissed!" Tiffany smacked her shoulder lightly.

Before Yvienna could respond, she heard Andrew mutter under his breath, "What a possessive guy."

Her eyes flicked to him, but the moment she met his gaze, he quickly looked away, whistling as he walked off.

Tiffany groaned beside her. "I bet he did something. That whistling is so annoying!"

Yvienna smirked. "Oh? You know him well?"

"N-no! I don't! Even if he was my past crush!"

"So defensive."

"I-I'm just stating facts! We were just classmates! Past is past. Teenage mistake!"

Yvienna chuckled, knowing her best friend too well. Tiffany always got defensive when someone got too close to the truth. But to spare her further embarrassment, she simply nodded.

"Yeah, yeah, I believe you. Chill."

Finally, the long day came to an end. As their last class wrapped up, Yvienna waved at Tiffany. "Bye! Be careful on your way home!"

Tiffany smiled and nodded before disappearing into her car. Just as Yvienna turned away, her phone vibrated. She quickly pulled it out and read the message.

From Kyle:

Behind you.

She turned, expecting to see him—but there was only the university building. Annoyed, she frowned. Then, out of nowhere, a finger poked her cheek.

"I missed you."

She groaned, whipping around to find Kyle standing there, now dressed in a sleek black button-down. Her eyes trailed downward, landing on the bouquet of roses in his hand.

"For you, my Luna."

Her heart pounded as she reached for the flowers, fingers brushing against the delicate petals. "They're beautiful," she murmured.

Kyle smirked. "Yeah, but you're more beautiful."

She shot him a glare, trying to mask the joy bubbling in her chest.

"What's with that look? You switch moods so fast, Ms. Bratty," he teased.

"Switch moods? What do you mean?"

Kyle chuckled and gently took her arm, leading her toward his car. "Your expressions change so easily. But don't worry, even if you turned into a fly, you'd still be gorgeous in my eyes."

She gaped at him. "W-what?! A fly?!"

He laughed, tapping both sides of her eyes with his fingers. "When your eyes look like this, all wide and innocent, you're my Luna."

Then he trailed his fingers over her furrowed brows. "And when they look like this, you're Ms. Bratty."

"I swear, I could kill you right now."

Kyle raised his hands in surrender, still grinning. They climbed into his car, and he helped her buckle her seatbelt.

"Where are we going?" she asked, realizing that this wasn't the way to her home.

"Secret," he replied with a wink.

She huffed. "Annoying."

Kyle chuckled. "Cute."
