The Evil Inside

. . .

Going back to the hospital, Willy finished having his blood drawn—in a narrow tube, he watched it going up before reaching its receiver who was lying unconscious on her hospital bed. He was doing a good deed, but in his mind, he felt apologetic. Such an innocent girl will have his dirty blood flowing inside her veins.

Pedro, who had his full attention to his daughter, didn't even notice Willy walking away. He turned his head towards the seat he vacated to find him gone before looking around the emergency room to no avail. Just when he was about to run after this unknown donor, a cold hand reached out for his. He looked down to see his precious angel with her eyes half-closed.

"D-dad..." she struggled to utter in a weak voice, "F-farrah..."

Rina's voice started breaking as her eyes welled-up with tears. At the same time, like a flesh wound poured with acid, his father's heart was breaking too. The unbearable guilt flooded him once again, but this time, like an avalanche of tragedy pouring down in one sweep. He didn't want to admit but he knew it then... the reason for his daughter's condition was not her illness alone. She was brokenhearted and he was to blame.

"Shhh... she's alright now, baby... she's alright now..." he said in tears, silently begging for the world's forgiveness as he clasped his daughter's hand, "She's alright now..."

Unknown to them, Willy was still inside the room--watching from a far distance before turning away after making sure she was fine. Upon reaching his car, he reached out for his phone inside his pockets to dial someone's number. After a few rings, someone picked up.

"Gustavo, how is it going?" he asked the man on the other line.

"Miura-dono already gave a go signal... he's giving you six hours. If he's not seeing that Zhi Lin face to face after the time limit, you know the drill."

Willy smirked, "You're underestimating me, Gustavo." He folded his phone before shoving it inside his pockets as he slammed the gas. He zoomed through the highway, following the red dot on his screen.

"Sunrise Mall..."

"What are we doing here again?" Jin asked Zeirenne after parking the car inside a famous mall.

"We're here because I'll treat you out for dinner!" she turned her head against him, murmuring some rants under her breath as she started inspecting her wallet, "Tsk. Now I have to spend my money again."

"But you still have to tell me everything or else..."

"Alright alright. I'll tell you every second in great detail, " she said before keeping the last sentence inside her head, "Lemme just rehearse another lie and then we're good."

As if reading her thoughts, Jin glared at her with a warning, "Don't even think of making up stories."

"Hihi."

Not a minute upon entering the mall, the public recognized them in an instance. "Oh would you look at this," Zeirenne mumbled under her breath.

With dozens of people flocking them, it gave her more time to formulate her stories. For the second time in her life, she accommodated anyone asking for pictures.

"Here. Take the picture for us," she handed her first fan's phone to Jin and he unwillingly obliged. He had to take countless photos as Zeirenne's fans flocked them. His head was all clear until her male fans started coming into the picture. The first boy who braved his presence even laid his hand on her shoulder.

Jin almost broke the phone from his tight grip. In an instance, everyone had to stop on their tracks as his aura burned into something terrifying. Surely, everyone in line for a photo with her had to keep their distance. At least that was what his expression told them.

Zeirenne was surprised to see her long list of fans being cut down to zero. There was still a plot hole in her story and so she decided to make some more time for herself.

"You can take pictures with him too!" she announced to everyone while pointing at Jin as if she was doing a limited edition promo.

Her enticing advertisement immediately showed its effect as girls of all ages started queueing in line for the sudden meet-and-greet with the Handsome CEO Hans Young.

"C-can I cling on your arms?" a high school girl asked Jin but Zeirenne was the one to answer, "Oh sure sure! Cling onto him however you want."

The girl squealed in delight before wrapping her arms around his. Jin, on the other hand, was glaring at Zeirenne who only gave him an 'Okay' sign.

Zeirenne snapped some pictures on different angles while coaching Jin, telling him to smile. She had to shake her head for so many times from his cold expression. But still, even with such an unfriendly face on their photos, the teenager still leaped in glee after seeing them.

"Kyaaaah. A cold-looking CEO is really my type! Thank you, Mr. Young!" she said before coming in for a hug. This time though, Zeirenne found herself accepting the hug that was supposed to be his.

"You're welcome," she said while tapping her back, "Next please!"

Their meet-and-greet continued for an hour. Zeirenne was in the middle of taking another photo when a brilliant idea tickled her brain.

"One...two... Aha!" she said while snapping her fingers. Her models furrowed their brows, "Oh sorry. Let's try that again. One... two... three!"

She started clapping her hands after taking the last photo. The crowd followed unconsciously, waiting for her next words, "And that's a wrap, Everyone! Thank you for your support!"

Disappointment filled the entire ground floor with an 'Awwwww!' She waved her hands in front of the people and within a few seconds, they were no longer in sight.

"Wow! That was exhausting!" she marveled, avoiding Jin and his glares, "Time for dinner!"

They arrived in front of a fancy restaurant and the waiter greeted them upon entry, "Table for two? Ma'am, Sir?"

"I made a reservation under Miss Lin," she said and the waiter nodded his head before leading them to their seats, "This way please."

There was a red table prepared in front of the glass window. Cars from below glowed in red lights, complementing the theme for their dinner.

Everything was in red aside from the black envelope slipped under her plate. She took the menu up to conceal her secret retrieval operation.

"What do you want?" she asked Jin before flipping the pages, "Can you order for me? I have to go to the comfort room."

"Sure," he nodded his head before watching her walk away.

Zeirenne entered a cubicle upon stepping inside the comfort room before opening the black envelope. Inside was an invitation... from Miura Takumi himself.
