The Message She Sent

. . .

Inside a grand hall with hundreds of people wearing fancy suits and ties, four men approached the newly appointed CEO, Dylan Wang.

"Congratulations, Mr. Wang," Mr. Amorsolo said," Or should I say... CEO Wang? Ahahahahaha."

"That sure sounds fitting. Your name fits better with the CEO prefix... not just Executive Assistant." Mr. Villaverde added.

While holding a champagne glass, Dylan reached another hand towards the four directors. "I wouldn't have made it without you, Mr. Amorsolo. I'll always thank you for granting me this chance. I'm forever in debt of you."

Mr. Amorsolo laughed. "Oh don't even worry about it," he said, before whispering, "But I'll take your word for that."

Dylan gave him a smmile before excusing himself. "Please enjoy the party, I'll tend to the other guests."

When he finally turned his back on them, the bright smiles were immediately converted into foul scowls.

"Tsk. He's acting so proud like he earned this position by himself." Mr. Amorsolo said.

"I told you he could be stubborn," Mr. Delmar, another Director, said, "Why did you choose to work with him in the first place? He'll be a trouble for us along the way."

"Shh.. shh... don't worry about anything. You know what they say... it doesn't matter who the person maybe, everyone bends to your will once you have them in their necks."

"Does that mean you..."

"Of course! I already made plans on how to take him down in case he acts up. It's just a matter of time before he surrenders his position to me," he beamed towards his lackeys and they grinned like devils.

"Besides... I would have never found Zhi Lin's weakness if it weren't for him."

Mr. Sarmiento gasped. He inched himself closer to whisper words only their circle could hear. "Were you the one who released that footage?"

Mr. Amorsolo shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know where that came from. But it gave me the perfect chance to drive my plan. You know what they say... strike whilst the iron is hot. I don't know where that came from, but I surely appreciate their help."

"So what's your ace against C-E-O Wang? Mind telling us now?"

Mr. Amorsolo moved his head side to side. But before he could even speak, the wide door swung open. Everyone turned their heads to see the person who had just entered.

"YWOU AWSWHOLES! HWOW DWARE YWOU DWO TWIS TWO MISS LIN!" Dorothy was right by the door, her arms still wide open as if she just split the door into two. "YWOU!" she screamed before charging at Dylan.

Everyone jerked on their places as she started demolishing everything in her path. All the tables have turned, the mantles flying in the air. The plates scattered their broken shards in the ground along with the silverwares clanging beneath her feet. Hundreds watched this in panic... the entire hall was chaotic.

"I'll drive." Zeirenne said.

Before Jin could disagree, she opened her palms to stop him. "Or walk your way home."

He sat still on the passengers seat and Zeirenne started driving. "Take a rest. You look like someone who hasn't rested for days."

Within her peripheral vision, she saw Jin shaking his head. She turned her head to glance at him. "Huh? Don't even think about being stubborn. I'll kick you out of this car. I swear."

"No... really," he said before meeting her eyes, "I'm fine... I don't need rest..."

"I just need you..." his mind continued, and he was left with a bitter taste in his mouth.

"Out." Zeirenne stopped the car.

Jin only sighed before leaning his seat down—closing his eyes. After a few minutes, Zeirenne started the car once again. She drove slowly so he could rest enough. The airport was two hours away, and she was determined to make him rest until then.

But Jin woke up after an hour. To her amazement, he no longer looked sick. His usual energy came back as well and she began to praise the effects of an hour's sleep.

"What are we gonna do in Beijing?" he asked her.

"I have things to investigate."

"Investigate? A-about what?"

"Not about what." Zeirenne shook her head. "About who."

She had her eyes focused on the highway while answering his questions. But guessed right in assuming he had his eyebrows furrowed that moment. With her left hand, she dug under Lala's compartment. The one underneath the arm rest.

She took a folded sheet of paper out and handed it to Jin. He opened the note and surveyed the sketch drawn in ink. It looked like an emblem covered in a burn mark.

"What is this?"

"That's Miura Takumi's right pelvis. Have you ever seen that mark befo—"

"Wait..." He interrupted, "How in the world did you peek into his pelvis?"

"What else? Of course I saw him naked."

"What?!"

Zeirenne flinched. She rubbed her ears while glaring at Jin. "Why are you raising your voice all of a sudden! It's not like seeing naked bodies is a big thing for us. We didn't study medicine just to make a big deal out of it. Tsk."

Jin rubbed his temples—a migraine about to kick in. For a few minutes, he took deep breaths before fixing his position on the seat.

One by one, he started taking his buttons off. Zeirenne noticed what he was doing in the corners of her eyes.

"What are you doing?" She asked him.

"Taking my clothes off."

"What? Why would you do that? Are you out of you mind?"

He shrugged his shoulders before continuing on his impromptu strip show. "To prove my point. I'll show you why it's never normal to see a person naked."

"I already told you it doesn't matter to me."

"Then don't mind me. I just wanna take my clothes off... out of boredom, I guess."

Zeirenne rolled her eyes. "Then should I take my clothes off as well?"

"W-what?" He stuttered—flushed. "N-no! Why would you do that?! Tsk."

"To prove MY point. That seeing someone in their loincloth doesn't matter to me." She veered the car to the side and Jin panicked.

"Alright! Alright!" He said while buttoning his shirt once again, "I surrender. You win. Tsk."

"Great."

She was just about to start the car once again but her phone dinged. She received a message from Dorothy saying: Everything was a setup...
