In Hogwarts final year, they show the children their soulmates within the school, and it just so happens that a certain blonde is paired with a certain brunette, causing bad blood, and a hell of a lot of drama with Ginny. Love all of you!!! ❤️❤️

Harry grinned and walked down the hall with Ron and Hermione trailing behind him. Today was the day they would pair souls, and he was sure his pair would be Ginny. After all they were perfect for each other.
Upon entering the great hall he immediately noticed something was wrong. Ginny was sniffing in her seat, grumbling to herself. Harry quickly took his seat beside her, Ron and Hermione sitting across from him.
"What's wrong Gin?" Harry asked as he filled his plate with an assortment of foods.
"Now now. Listen up!" Minerva said as she strutted into the room, adjusting her hat and brushing a strand of silver hair from her eyes. "You will be paired with a soul magically connected to yours. Not good and evil, not strong and weak, or smart and dumb, but your soul mate. Keep in mind a soulmate is not always romantic, so I encourage all of you to be open minded." She said matter-o-factly.
Ginny grumbled and shifted in her seat closer to Harry.
"Now I will pair you one at a time." She said pulling her wand and pointing it at Luna Lovegood with no more hesitation. The wand flickered, and soon a fabulous blue light danced around the room, lighting the walls and ceiling with the light color. The glow shifted around the small space, as if it were looking, and soon Neville Longbottom was engulfed by the same blue shade, pulling him closer to Luna. He grinned stupidly and turned red. Luna smiled warmly, and they switched to a different table to sit together. McGonagall continued up the aisles pairing the children with their soulmates. Seamus and Dean had matching red glows, Oliver and Marcus had yellow, and soon the whole class had been rearranged, with all the kids paired with their soulmates. Well, all but Draco, Harry, Hermione, Ginny, Ron, and Vincent.
She walked up to Hermione, smiling reassuringly and pressing her wand tip to Hermione's wrist. Hermione's gulped, realizing that two boys would be paired together. No one else had even bothered to look around. A pretty magenta light shook itself from her chest, swimming around the room and not even waiting a second before drawing out Ron's identical soul. She grinned and wrapped her arms around him. Wait... that left Harry and Ginny to be paired, and Draco.... and Vincent? Hermione contained her laughter, awaiting the sheer disbelief that would fall upon the blondes face.
Minerva pressed her wand tip to Harry's wrist, and he grinned at Ginny, awaiting their souls to match.
White light leaped from his heart, dancing around the room and hesitating at Ginny. It moved towards her, jumping back as if it were shocked. Harry's brows furrowed.
The white light flashed around once more turning away from Ginny and going to.... MALFOY?!
the white of Malfoy's soul drew out of his chest, connecting with Harry's.
Harry choked leaping forward, but McGonagall moved to Ginny, pulling a black soul from her chest, a soul that darted to Vincent, flashing into the boy and drawing out his identical black soul.
"WHAT?! But... but... Malfoy's. Evil! His soul should be black! This is a mix up!" Ginny hollered amongst the quiet room of soulmates.
"Yeah." Vincent chucked. "Yeah, Malfoys evil. He should be with me."
Draco lurched in his seat away from Vincent, and Crabe smirked. Draco looked terrified, keeping his distance from the boy.
No one else noticed but Hermione, who gave Draco a quizzical look before returning to the problem at hand.
"Professor-"
"No Miss Weasley. Your souls have chosen, not me, not anyone but your own body. There is a reason you are paired with Mr. Crabe, I encourage you to find it." Minerva said evenly.
"It's alright Gin. This doesn't change anything. It's probably just some weird mix up anyways." Harry whispered in Ginnys ear when McGonagall walked back to the faculty table.
"Yeah." She whispered. "I guess. My chest has been hurting all day too." She mumbled.
"It's an affect of the souls. When you're away from your soulmate, it hurts. It'll drain you after a few days." Hermione's said sipping a glass of pumpkin juice. She was far cheerier, an affect of Ron's close proximity.
"Wait so I'm going to have to be near... Malfoy?" Harry groaned slamming his head on the table. Harry didn't want to admit it, but his entire body ached with pain. He felt as if he'd been practicing quidditch all day without a break, the ache was inside and out, and a nap sounded lovely at the moment. He glanced across the room to the Slytherins, and raised his brow when he saw Draco, Pansy and Blaise sitting far away from the rest of their house. Vincent and Gregory walked down to The trio, the both of them smirking stupidly. Vincent leaned down whispering something in Draco's ear. Harry nudged Hermione, keeping his eyes trained on the scene. Vincent's knuckles brushed Draco's jaw, and he spasmed in his seat, seemingly defeated. Pansy launched from her seat, hurling herself at Crabe. He laughed and backed up, but not before she punched him square in the mouth.
Ginny jerked in her seat, super confused. She touched her jaw, glancing towards the Slytherins.
"You alright Ginny?" Ron asked.
"Yeah, just... just bit my tongue." She mumbled trying to go around the topic by talking about quidditch.
"Thought they were friends." Harry mumbled. Ron and Ginny were deep in a conversation about quidditch, not paying attention to their mates.
"So did I." Hermione said, leaning forward to watch the encounter. When Vincent was gone, and Gregory left laughing hysterically, Draco hunched over his food, his entire body shaking.
'Are you ok?' Hermione and Harry read pansy's lips.
Draco nodded, fisting his fork and leaning his head forward. The group of Slytherins at the other end of the table were laughing at the group. Vincent flicking mashed potatoes at the blonde. Blaise stood, but Draco only grabbed his arm, shaking his head. Blaise frowned and sat back down. Harry looked away and continued eating, adding to Ron and Ginnys conversation every now and then. He and Hermione were watching the Slytherin group intently, and noticed before them that Vincent and Gregory were walking back towards them.
Blaise stood then, Pansy with him. Hermione pulled out her wand, casting an advanced hearing charm on she and Harry's ears.
"Hey blondie." Crabe grinned.
"Y'know, I miss you. The real you. Not this... softie." Goyle smirked, gesturing to Draco.
"You mean you liked it better when I was a dick that did anything he asked?" Draco mumbled looking forward. The charm faded, and Hermione didn't care enough to recast it as she watched. Blondie? Why the hell did they call him blondie.
Pansy had left, getting professor Snape. Snape moved through the crowd, grabbing Vince and Greg by their ears, and dragging them to their seats. He said something to the trio and Pansy shook her head violently, Blaise smacked to his seat, and Draco glared daggers at their head of house. His lips moved to form the word 'no' but the professor ignored him talking over him instead and motioning towards the Gryffindor table. He drug the Slytherins to the Golden trio's spot and he smacked them down.
"Any fighting or bickering and I'll remove one hundred points from all guilty parties. Slytherin or Gryffindor." Snape seethed, storming back to the Slytherin table.
"Nice going Pansy." Draco grumbled, sitting across from Harry. "Shit this feels so much better." He mumbled resting his forehead on the table.
Pansy snickered. "Can't relate. I've been with my soul mate all day. Speaking of which, you two got each other right? I always thought you were good together." Pansy mumbled motioning with her fork to Ron and Hermione.
"Why aren't you guys being dicks?" Hermione asked.
"Our families were rich bastards. We fed off of it, and then the war happened and we put our childish shitiniess behind us. Well, most of us anyways." She said with a side glance to Greg and Vince.
Draco growled. "They weren't childish, they were satanic." He grumbled. "We are trying to be good, they relish in the evil."
"Seems there's some bad blood between your house." Hermione's said, sipping some pumpkin juice.
"Yeah there is. There's us, the ones who try to be good, and there's them, the ones who like being demonic abusers." Pansy said chewing on some potatoes and motioning behind her without looking. "Hey do you have any more of that potion you made? My cramps are killing me." She groaned. Draco nodded and handed her a small capsule from his cloak pocket.
"You make potions?" Hermione's asked, smiling. Finally someone to talk to. Ginny and Ron had moved down, refusing to sit by Slytherins, but Harry was practically bathing in the sweet relief from the ache Draco's absence had caused.
"Yeah. I take requests too." He said.
"What does that one do?" She asked, glancing to the bottle Pansy had downed.
"It's for... menstrual cycles and such. It-"
"Ok." Pansy started, cutting in. "He's too gay to explain it right." Harry choked on the information of Draco's sexuality, but Hermione was far to interested to process it.
"I made the damned thing!" He hissed.
"Shut it. Too gay." She said with a smirk, scooting in the explain to a very intrigued Hermione.
"So basically, the potion take away all cramps from the equation, stops the headaches, and helps with mood swings, and it makes the blood invisible to anyone but you, in case you leak. I mean Draco's bloody brilliant for making it. He got Snape to put it in the ladies rooms, and shit it makes it ten times better!" Pansy said shoving another bite of food in her mouth.
"Wow you're kidding!" Hermione gasped, turning to Draco. He handed her three of the same capsules, all filled with a pink-orange liquid. Hermione refused to say it, but she was on her period and would definitely be trying the potion later. "Thanks so much Draco! This is amazing. I can't believe you made it. So I take you're pretty advanced then?"
"Yeah. It took quite a bit of studying actually. And I accidentally gave Pansy a period for a month in one of my trials, but I'd say it's worth it. I enjoy helping others. If you're truly interested I could take up some studying hours with you." Draco said, digging deeper into the conversation and becoming interested in the curly haired girl.
Hermione nodded, excited someone brought up the word 'study' voluntarily for once.
Soon the blonde and the brunette were in a deep conversation about the qualities of wolfsbane, and if the wizarding world should invest in more liability for werewolves like Remus Lupin.
"If fifty werewolves are created every year, it just makes sense to up the spaces where people can safely shift, or make wolfsbane a more known item!" Hermione's said as lunch ended and they walked out of the hall, Ron Ginny and Harry trialing behind angrily as Hermione walked with the Slytherins.
"Since when are they so chummy?" Ron seethed.
"I totally agree. It's like they think the mishaps are just going to stop, when the incline is far from slowing, and wolfsbane is just too handsy. Some people can't afford to brew their own, and it just won't work when there are too many to keep the community safe. If you're gonna treat someone like a monster, and refuse to help them, then yeah of course they'll become a monster!" Draco said throwing his hands and walking down the narrow halls.
When they spilt to go to class, and Hermione went to go to Herbology with Ron, Harry had to go to charms with Draco. His whole body ached until he sat next to the blonde which put him in a foul mood.
"You feel it too right?" Draco whispered.
"What are you taking about Malfoy?" Harry grumbled.
"You feel the...pain, when we are separated."
"I haven't got a clue what you're on about." Harry seethed.
"Fine, then I'll move seats." Draco growled packing his things and pulling himself up out of his chair.
"Wait...ok yes I feel it." Harry said grabbing Draco's shirt sleeve and pulling the blonde down. Draco smirked to himself and sat back down.
"So do you..." Harry didn't know how to ask it.
Draco just raised a brow.
"Do you think we'll have to like...be close a lot?"
"For Christ's sake Potter, if you hate me that much then why are we soulmates?" Draco asked in a quiet tone that was somehow more threatening than a loud one.
"I don't know... maybe it was just a mistake, I mean Vincent wa-"
"Vincent is a two timing piece of shit that thinks raping muggle children is fun. If Ginny was paired with him than she's either deluded or pure evil. Or the wand is wrong, but McGonagall said it was our own souls that picked our souls mates." Draco spit in one annoyed breath.
Harry was taken aback, unable to answer as he tried to process everything Draco had said. Vincent was a rapist? How the hell did Draco know that? And if Vincent was that evil then why was he soulmates with Harry's girlfriend.
"Oh-I'm... sorry." Harry said awkwardly. Draco ignored him, shifting in his seat and getting comfortable to take notes. Harry saw a faint line of bruises lacing his neck and wrists. Draco shifted and and his shirt sleeves covered the marks. They looked less like bruises and more like- rope burns? Harry stopped looking, too confused to even try to find out what caused the injuries to his new soul mate. A small paper plane appeared on Draco's desk out of no where, and the blonde sat up. He checked to make sure the professor was still busy with jotting down notes, and quietly began unfolding the plane. Harry watched out of the corner of his eye, pretending to take notes and the blond flattened the note on the desk. He choked and crumpled the sheet before Harry could see it, Draco looked horribly shaken, his whole body quivering in fear. He stuffed the paper into his satchel, taking a few deep breaths and continuing to take notes.

After class Draco suggested they walk back to the shared dorms together, since they'd want to have as much energy as possible before going to bed. They walked the abandoned halls quietly, neither boy saying a word. The ache was completely gone from Harry's body, and it felt so good he almost sighed in contentment.
Goyle and Crabe walked down the halls towards them, both boys grinning. Their faces lit up when they saw the blonde, and then quickened their pace. Draco stiffened but continued walking, dropping his head to avoid eye contact. Harry watched in bewilderment as Draco cowered, confused as to why he wasn't adopting his usual sneer. Vincent grabbed Draco's jaw, pressing him against the wall. His fat fingers traced Draco's neck, lining up perfectly with the bruises on the blonde's throat.
"What the fuck Crabe. Leave him be." Harry hissed, raising his wand. Vincent ignored him and kept his wicked eyes trained on the blonde.
"What's with you blondie? It's been a while.." Vincent trailed off. "I miss touching you." He said with a smile, jabbing the bruises and making Draco wince. Goyle laughed.
"Weaker than I remember but still... I think I could take you now."
Harry being the oblivious, thick skulled doofus he was, still didn't understand why Vincent was touching Draco like some kind of toy. Possessive.
"Drop him Crabe." Harry seethed training his wand on the back of Vincent's head.
"I guess not today. But soon. Very soon." Vincent said grinning and tossing Draco back, walking down the hall with Goyle in close pursuit.
"What the fuck was that about?" Harry asked as he watched Draco stumble to his feet. Harry saw the imprints on the blondes neck and remembered how Crabe's fingers matched the bruises perfectly.
"N-nothing. I... let's just get to our dorm." Draco whispered. Harry raised a brow but nodded and continued walking to the shared space between eighth years. Draco looked broken as they walked silently into the large space. Pansy and Blaise ran up to him with stupid smiles on their faces.
"Ok Draco don't be mad. Promise you won't be mad." Pansy said giddily. Draco raised an elegant eyebrow, confused, but nodded and motioned for her to continue.
"So remember that incident like three months ago over by the-" Blaise started, equally excited.
"When Dumbledore caught you fucking yeah what about it?" Draco asked. Harry choked a laugh and tried to cover it up with a cough. He couldn't imagine being walked in on by the old man.
"Ok well it turns out-" Blaise started.
"IM PREGNANT!" Pansy cut in with a happy yell.
"You're kidding." Draco said, a huge smile forming on his lips. "No way you're kidding!" He laughed hysterically grabbing Pansy into a tight hug. He could almost feel the swell through her loosened robes. He hugged Blaise too, a warm smile lighting up his pale face. Harry breathed an airy laugh. Pansy looked to him and then back to Draco, then quickly brought him into a bone breaking hug.
"I'm pregnant Potter!" She screeched tossing him aside and running to tell the closest person within earshot. Blaise rushed after her laughing his head off.
"Jesus." Draco grumbled. Harry laughed looking down at the dumbfounded blonde. He seemed to be happier than he was before, but Harry could sense it somehow, his sadness. He could feel the pain radiating from Draco being, and it hurt him.

The next week passed by painfully, with Harry trying to stay away from Draco and failing. (He would sneak behind him for relief as he walked to class). Hermione and Ron were both happy as larks, being together almost 24/7. And then it happened.
Harry was in Herbology when he felt the horrible pang in his chest, causing him to gasp and hunch over. Somehow He knew he needed to get to Draco as soon as possible, the pain becoming worse and worse.
Hermione and Ron gave him quizzical brows and followed him out of class.
•••
Harry shoved the Room of Requirement's door open and was met by a ghastly sight. Vincent and Greg towered over the blonde, using the cruciatious curse multiple times on his already bloody body. Draco writhed silently on the floor, his clothes shredded and red. Blood pooled on the floor, making Hermione gag.
Draco stoped moving.
"STOP IT! STOP IT NOW! YOURE KILLING HIM!" Harry screamed, running to the two boys and disarming them. Ron and Hermione busied themselves with crabe and Goyle, while Harry stumbled to the ground. His shaky fingers pressed against Draco's throat, searching for a pulse.
Nothing.
"HES NOT BREATHING!" Harry cried, Snape stumbled his way into the room having heard the screams.
"HES NOT MOVING, he's not moving, he's not breathing!" Harry choked.
Snape used a variety of spells, even resorted to muggle CPR.
Draco was gone.
Harry stood on his feet, lifting his wand. He turned on crabe first, the curse easily slipping off his lips.
"AVADA KE-"
"No harry! No!" Hermione cried.
For once he ignored her, the anger pent up and flowing out until he understood. He loved Draco. And the dead boy just a few feet away... he saw red
"AVADA KEDAVRA!" He screamed, the curse flashing from his wand in a burst of green.
