A large table was filled with various food and drinks. Yet it was all simple. Rice, a bit of meat, water, and juice. There were no servants, only the small family present, they got their food out themselves, took the dishes to the kitchen themselves. It was a simple, common scene.
"Yue, guess what." At the table, there were two males, and three females, one of them being a little girl. They all had similar facial features, with slight differences, with the little girl being the most unique. "I can now completely control it, not a single mess up." The one speaking was the younger man. He had long white hair, unlike the older man with black hair.
"Oh really?" Taking a bit of her rice, the black haired woman spoke with a smile. "It's about time you did learn." A sighed escaped her mouth as she looked at the young man mockingly. "Yun, you may be super strong, but you're also dumb. A single sneeze caused so many problems, dad and Longwei are still solving the issue, right daddy?
Yun frowned when his younger sister mentioned that topic. "Yue, you know that wasn't my--"
"Yun, that was all your fault." The older man finally spoke with a bitter smile. "If you paid a little more attention and learned how to control it from the beginning, that problem wouldn't have happened."
"Honey, leave Yun alone, he's still young." Seeing the older man berate Yun, The fourth woman walked over to Yun and gave him a hug while glaring at her husband. Like Yun, she had white hair as well. "Yun, it's good you can control it now. Ignore that old man."
Hearing her words, the older man continued to smile bitterly. "Honey, you're the same age as me though…" When he said these words, he saw his wife's white hair suddenly raise. Taking a deep gulp, he watched her walk over and grab his collar. "H-hey, not in front of the kids…"
"Are you calling me old?" She ignored his words and glared at him with her red pupils, which were akin to a rose. Beautiful, yet somewhat frightening.
"I didn't call you old..." When he said this, the woman began to calm down, but his next words erupted even more anger from her. "...I just said that you were the same age as me, so if you called me an old man, you called yourself an old woman." He smiled directly at her as he said these words. Sure, her anger was a bit frightening, but he also found it amusing.
"YOU!" When Yue and Yun saw this, they couldn't help but laugh. Their dad would always do this, trying to rile their mom up for no reason. Of course, it was always jokes, never getting serious.
"Anyways, mom, daddy, wasn't there something important we needed to discuss?" Yue smiled while drinking a glass of water.
"What?" Yun looked at his little sister in confusion.
"Oh yea." His mom suddenly stopped flaring and walked back to a seat beside Yun with smiles. The transition was abrupt, but no one found it weird, that was just how the family was.
"Yun, what have you been doing ever since you were young?" Suddenly, his dad asked him a question.
He didn't need to think about it, what he had been doing was simple. "Cultivating." It was all he did for the past many years. Cultivating, learning to fight, learning every single weapon, learning the ways of being a leader, and so on. He did all of this in isolation, away from everyone else.
"Exactly. All you've been doing is cultivating. Cultivating your strenght and your knowledge. Although the world says that I am the strongest, our family knows the real truth. Yun, at this very moment, no one in this world can challenge you, your power is the highest, you've reached realms that I've never heard of, realms that have yet to be named. If I were to even try and spar with you, I know that a single breath would be overkill to take me down, that is the power you have achieved." Listening to his dad's praise, Yun couldn't help but blush a little. Although he would never dare spar with his parents, he knew that it was true. It was true he was powerful to the point where he was unchallenged in the whole world. In the million universes that his dad controlled, the other billions of universes controlled by others, his dad was at the top, being undefeated by individuals and groups, yet his dad was much weaker than him.
"Dad, why are we talking about this? Is it about that sneeze?" Yun couldn't help but become embarrassed. The sneeze wasn't simple. Back when he was still learning to control his power, he sneezed in one of this dad's friends' territory. Though the sneeze didn't contain all of his power, it contained enough to destroy over five universes, killing so much that his dad had been working to bring everything back with Yue's husband, for the past hundred years. His strenght was mind boggling really.
"Yun, it's not about that issue, there wasn't much that could have been done about it." His mom smiled at him while stroking his hair. "Don't think too much about that, alright? Your dad and Longwei are basically almost done solving the issue."
"Then?" He looked at his sister in confusion. She was now holding onto a little girl, ehr daughter. Her daughter was very adorable, having a set of white hair, with the ends being black. Yet, she was also a very clever and naughty girl.
As Yue fed her daughter, she began to explain. "The thing is, because you have been cultivating ever since you were young, you haven't interacted with people other than your own family. Longwei is the only person you have interacted with, that isn't blood related to you. Basically, you're a loser with no friends nor any experience in the real world. You may be strong, but you have no social skills."
"Shut up Yue." Yun glared at her, feeling insulted by her words.
"Yun, she isn't wrong." His dad spoke with a calm expression. "That is the truth, you don't have any experience from the outside world. You may have learned about skills of being a leader and so on, but learning from a book is different from actually experiencing things."
Hearing his dad scold him, Yun sighed and looked down. "I know…"
His mom continued to stroke his hair. "Anyways, the reason we bring these things up isn't to make fun of you, but to tell you about a decision me and your father have made." Yun suddenly looked up in confusion, staring at his mom and then his dad. "Since you can finally control all of your strength, you will be going to live on your own from now on, well atleast for a long time."
"What?!" Yun suddenly stood up and looked at his parents in shock. "Why? Why can't I just stay here?"
"Yun, sit down." His dad looked at him and said with a patient tone.
Sitting down, Yun began to grumble. "I bet this is actually because of the sneeze, isn't it?"
"You're such a little kid Yun." Yue mocked. "You may be older than me, but because you haven't had real world experience, you still act like a kid. You aren't mature."
Exactly, Yun." His dad didn't give him a chance to speak. "You're still a little immature and irresponsible. Of course, this is only because you haven't experienced much yet. Even when you were training, it was all alone. Sometimes, me and your mom wouldn't see you for hundreds of years because of your training." Taking a minute to think about it, Yun couldn't deny that. No matter how much he hated the fact he was immature, he couldn't outright reject it either. "Anyways, you will still stay in my territory, but I will send you to a far away location. Just live there from now on. What you do, I will not stop you. Become a good guy, I won't care. Become a bad guy, I won't care. I just want to see you grow and learn to be an individual."
"Wait wait wait, don't be a super bad guy or anything Yun." His mom suddenly spoke up. "Don't forget the things I taught you, alright? Don't start harassing girls or anything, or I will beat you up. Don't cause problems for good people either. Don't listen to you dad about this topic. Become your own person, but don't do anything super bad, or else I will get mad." She couldn't help but glare at her husband. "What the heck are you saying? If Yun ever becomes bad, there won't be anyone capable of stopping him, you know that right? Yun, be good, alright?"
His dad sighed and continued his little speech. "Anyways, if you want anything from me or Qiang, you know how to contact us. Still, try to be independent. I have already got a place for you over there." His dad handed him a small coin suddenly. "Also, this is your identity coin that you will use. You will be using your real name, but luckily, other than family and a few friends of mine, no one from the outside world knows much about your existence. Plus, unless the being is extremely old and powerful, they won't know about me either, so just go ahead and use your real name."
"And Yun, try to find me lots of daughter-in-laws. A bunch of your dad's friends want you to marry their daughters, but since you are immature, we told them no." His mom suddenly began to explain with excitement. "Still, a few girls might come down with you as well, of course, they will stay in a different place, but your dad's friends are persistent about wanting you as their son-in-law, haha." She couldn't help but laugh.
Feeling a little embarrassed, Yun scratched his head. He wasn't unaware about women, afterall, there were many women from both his parents' side that wanted to marry him. "Alright, I'll do it, but I want to be able to visit sometimes too."
"Yun, no." His dad spoke firmly. "You will stay there. I will come visit sometimes, or your mom will, but that is it. We want you to learn independence, if you visit us for relaxation at times, that will ruin it. You have to learn to stand on your own two feet. Strenght is one thing, but knowing how to care for yourself is another."
"Damn it." He sighed, but what could he do? His dad was being firm, and he couldn't change his mind.
"Also, one last thing." His dad suddenly passed him a long black sword. It was shimmering with a black light, causing infatuation with the blade from a single glance. "This is a gift from me to you. Our family sword is important and is passed to the next lord of the Chen family. Although you have yet to go off and become the leader of your own territory, you are still the young lord of the Chen family."
Grabbing the blade, Yun couldn't help but smile brightly. 'The Chen Sword' was his family's heirloom. He always found it to be the most amazing sword. It was ancient, older than his dad's territory. It was his dad's previous sword, one that always made Yun feel excited. "Thanks Dad." He said happily.
"No problem. Anyways, go. Everything is ready for you in the house." With a wave of his hand, Yun disappeared with a bit of reluctance.
"He's finally going." Qiang sighed a little. "He will finally grow up." She was now holding onto her granddaughter, feeding her juice.
"About time if you ask me." Yue said smilingly.
"Well, let's see how he turns out. He is afterall my son, shouldn't turn out too terribly." He laughed slightly, glancing at the seat his first child sat at. 'Grow up well Yun.'
