Chapter Fifteen

Once dinner was done, I asked Mattie " Why was Cole so angry about my bike?" I know that curiosity wouldn't help me but I really wanted to know why. " That's not for me to say, if you want to know maybe ask Sir Cole... I really wish I could help but I can't." I was upset but understanding on this, maybe it is something to do with his family or past. So I looked around trying to look for Cole but he wasn't anywhere to find in the room. I guess he left to his room or went back to work. I just deserved to go back to my room, " Mattie, I think I'm gonna go to my room. Do you need anything before I left?" I don't think he needs anything but I know it's better to ask before just leaving abruptly. " Yeah, can I.... umm maybe have a hug?" He was acting really shy talking to me, but it was adorable for a little kid to ask me. " Awww Mattie, you don't need to ask me for a hug. I am always happy to give you a hug." I kneeled to his height while talking to him so he would know that I was going to give him a hug anyways. I wrapped my arms around his little body and with a few seconds of us hugging I heard someone come into the room. I let go of Mattie and got up and looked, it was Cole. He looked angry, but without saying anything he run out of the room. I was worried that he was upset at Mattie and I. So I ran after him, "COLE.... COLE STOP RUNNING!!!" I yelled but he didn't hear me. I looked behind me and noticed that Mattie was following me. " He probably needs time to himself, I will talk to him in to morning." Mattie nodded and we started to walk to my room. " So is your room next to mine or are you just walking me to my room?" Mattie looked up at me and smiled. " I am just walking you to your room, so you don't get lost" I was happy that he was being honest but I think I should know my way to my room by now. I wasn't going to be rude and tell him to go away because I know my way around. So with a more or less quiet walk to my room, we got there and then he smiled and waved, while walking away.
