The Only Witness

The leave that Penelope and Lanie submitted to Tyler was not for their camping but for Althea's funeral. Mark also submitted a letter for his leave. Although Penelope and Mark were on leave, they still have some work to do because of the company that their family left. They stayed at the funeral home and would only leave if they needed to go home to change or get something they needed.

Tyler and Kieffer also go to the funeral after their work, mostly they stay there at night then leave at midnight.

On the second day of the wake, they looked at the entrance when they saw Jake. He walked towards them and gave his condolences. Penelope looked away while Mark remained his eyes on the coffee that he was holding. Lanie was the only one who responded to him. She gave him a small smile and nodded.

She sat beside Jake. "Did you catch him?" Jake asked. Although Penelope and Mark were not looking at the two, they were listening to their conversation.
