The Only Witness

As Lanie arrived at a familiar place, she slowly walked towards the direction of the laughs she was hearing. She made sure that they would not feel her aura. She wanted to surprise them. She stopped when she finally saw the two people enjoying their wine together like they were celebrating something.

"I can't believe that we tricked him! You were such a great actress!" Jeybi said to the woman in front of him.

"I told you, Lanie is her weakness." The woman replied.

"What is our next step now that we already destroyed their relationship? Wait, let me ask you this first, why do you want them to separate?" A smirk appeared on Lanie's lips as soon as Jeybi said that. Before that woman answered, Lanie finally decided to join them.

"Because of her promise to someone?" Lanie butted in. Jeybi's eyes widened in shock when he saw Lanie walking towards them while the woman still remained composed although she was also shocked and… scared.

Lady Jessa
