"Uncle! Mom is not a maid" she said in fake anger in her voice which was caught by her adopted uncle and he started laughing again.

Ying Yue went to the kitchen and handed the phone to her mother telling her that Uncle Yoshito wanted to speak with her.

Drying her hands on the towel and setting the pan on low heat she answered,

"Hello Yoshito! How are you?"

Ying Yue left them to talk privately. All the while she was thinking how could she have been so stupid? How could she have not seen that Uncke Yoshito only wanted the best for her mother and herself? How could have she thought of him so lowly? How could she have hated seeing him?

Thinking about it him made her feel ashamed. She was determined to correct her mistake. She will be good and give back the respect and kindness that this man deserves.

With that she sat infront of the television and started watching one of her favourite show. It was a comedy based cartoon. She was glad to see that this was one of her interests that never went away with age.

Even in her University years she enjoyed watching different cartoons although at that thine she hid it from everyone thinking it was embarrassing but this time she was confident and wasn't embarrassed about her likes and dislikes. She was not afraid to tell about it.

Ying Yue was unaware that her mother was watching her from the kitchen.

"Yes! She did change. I was shocked myself".
