" Count my cards, watch them fall..

Blood on a marble wall..

I like the way that your scream sounds..

Tell me which one is worse..

Living or dying first..?

Sleeping inside a hearse..

If you think I'm pretty,

You should see me in a crown.."

Maeve's P. O. V

I slowly came to awareness of my surroundings. I mean, I knew I was still in a cell but something was not just right.

I opened my eyes already on defense mode and the opening of the cell gate affirmed my suspicions.

Keane's ear twitched but she laid there as if she was still asleep, I just mentally chuckled and regulated my breathing, making it look like I was still asleep. Werewolves had accurate sense of hearing so apparently, he'd know when and if I stir or awaken.. Right?

Not.

He locked the gate behind him and Keane barked out a laugh in my mind. "Fool." She sighed and lay quietly.

The guard turned to me and started to tip toe towards me with a smug look on his face which I saw with my enhanced eyesight. I silently wished he wasn't about to do what I thought he was about to do.

Mania growled dangerously in my mind, bristling as the guard came closer. I felt my eyes change colour and was glad it was closed or it would have flashed red and alerted him of my state of awareness.

"Please don't do what I think you're going to do. It won't end well for you and I don't wanna kill you." I thought silently and continued to lay still.

My thoughts were affirmed when he touched my face and dragged his hands all over my body, stopping to grope me.

Keane sprung into action and snarled at him, making him jump back. I jumped up, my eyes wide open and pissed at this puny guard.

His expression morphed into one of fear before smirking and bringing out a gun, I took a deep breath and caught a whiff of the gunpowder essence- wolfsbane.

Mania was automatically triggered in my mind and snarled before forcing her shift. My bones started to crack and I hunched over, trying to hold her in but Mania wasn't an ordinary wolf. She was a lycan.

I grunted in frustration before she took over finally, claws shooting out from my fingertips, fur sprouting, muzzle forming and muscles enlarging. My smooth skin seemed to toughen and produce fur the colour of darkness mixed with snow- the colour of Keane's fur. My bones bent at odd angles and transformed into the form of an average wolf but thrice as large.

I felt myself double in height and tower over the horrified guard.

I then realized that Keane had managed to crush the gun and now the guard was left defenseless, I felt sorry for him but before I could do anything, Mania took over and merged with Keane.

Keane seemed to turned invisible, leaving her essence or so it seemed before merging, making Mania's height more daunting and her eyes holding the two colours of purple and red.

The guard started yelling for help and turned to try to unlock the door but found out the key was behind Mania and started to cry. Mania only cocked her head to the side, internally debating how to kill the offensive creature before her.

Before he could utter one more chilling scream, Mania pounced on him, swiping his head clean from his body and proceeding to spray his blood all over the cell by shaking his body like a rag doll- from side to side.

Other guards rushed to see the commotion and were paralyzed with fear and shock at the height and deranged look of the lycan that just killed their friend.

Some took out the same type of gun that the offending guard had and Mania got more pissed and snarled so viciously that some guards ran away screaming for help.

She charged at the gate and the gate gave way under her strength and she emerged, her growl thundering throughout the dungeon.

Mania then began her killing spree with one word echoing in her head.

Death.

Death.

Death.

They would all die for going against the rightful lycan queen.
