Konoha Crush

Sasuke vs Gaara started. The very instant the referee gave the signal, Sasuke charged with body flicker and amped by his Lightning Style: Overdrive. Using his vastly superior speed, he got around the Sand Shield protecting Gaara and struck him after focusing his lightning of his left hand.

This focused strike actually managed to cause some relatively light damage even over the layer of Sand Armor Gaara was wearing which surprised all the Suna people watching, the invincible Gaara had already been wounded at the beginning of the battle.

Gaara was not as unstable as he was in canon, the scares he got from Shiki actually helped keep him relatively stable, something Shiki had not considered but he still covered up in his spherical sand shell but not to transform like in the original series. Instead, he formed his Third Eye with his sand to keep watch on his opponent as he attacked from the safety of his shell.

This meant that unlike in canon, Sasuke didn't have time to charge up his Chidori because Gaara was constantly pressuring him with his sand no matter the distance. However, Sasuke was not the same as in canon either.

Further amping up his overdrive, bringing it a bit closer to Shiki's Godspeed, Sasuke managed to create enough distance to start the Chidori while charging it up on the move, the fact that his body was already charged with lightning chakra helped make this possible despite the Uchiha's relatively low mastery of his new jutsu.

Sasuke then charged Gaara, using his Chidori to tear through the sand counter attacks and dodging the sand spikes protruding from the shell, he plunged his Chidori into it, easily piercing Gaara's shell and inflicting a relatively serious injury, he then quickly lept away before a counter attack could come and watched as the sand broke apart to reveal his injured opponent.

Gaara was panting hard, his shoulder dripping blood utterly shocking the audience from Suna but for now Sasuke just observed his opponent, a cornered enemy can easily resort to dangerous moves and the Uchiha had no intention of trading blows, since his opponent was injured and losing blood at a dangerous rate, Sasuke would only benefit from dragging out the stalemate.

However, the match was not finished, with all preparations complete, Sunagakure and Otogakure forces started their attack on Konoha, the Konoha Crush and finally begun.

The moment Kabuto casted his Temple of Nirvana Genjutsu and smoke bombs went of on the Kages' viewing platform, Shiki's clones launched their attack on Orochimaru's facilities and the Reaper intercepted the enemy forces.

He was mainly using the abilities of the Ketsuryugan which he had trained intensively since he got them. During this training he had developed a few new jutsu and realized there was actually a difference between manipulating ferrous water and blood but more on that later.

Taking inspiration from Orochimaru's Hidden Snake Shadow Hand, Shiki created the Blood Snake Shadow Hand that used the ferrous water in his special sealing gourd to form multiple red snakes that could bite and restrain targets and because they were made of liquid, they could be easily reformed if destroyed and could extend their length so long as there was enough liquid.

He also created a Blood Clone that while possessing all the virtues of a shadow clone was immune to physical attacks like Suigetsu since it was made out of liquid a strong enough impact could still destroy it unfortunately.

Using these two jutsu, the Reaper systematically eliminated the invading shinobi at a fast rate before they could do significant damage, he also used the Blood Snake Shadow Hand as a medium to drain their blood to test some things out later.

With a variation of the Ketsuryugan: Blood Dragon Ascension, instead of creating a eight headed dragon, Shiki instead created flying eastern dragons that took out the more powerful shinobi even capturing a few within them as living test subjects for future experiments. He also used them to take care of the Giant Snake summoned to attack the village.

The fact that not only Jiraiya but also Tsunade was in the village also greatly contribute to the assault's failure to cause significant damage to the village and its inhabitants.

The fake Danzo, contrary to his deal with Orochimaru, ordered the Root shinobi to assist the village in dealing with the invaders, further reducing the damage to it to the point of it being negligible for the scale of the attack, meanwhile, back at the arena things were also not going as smoothly as the attackers had initially planned.

Gaara needed to recover before he could call upon the Shukaku and a blood clone was also rapidly taking care of all enemy forces in the arena stands. In the area itself, the referee Hayate, Shiki and Sasuke were facing Gaara, Temari, kankuro and their jonin sensei Baki.

"Well, well, my fellows of Suna . . . Looks like your little assault has failed massively!" Shiki mocked.

"All of you retreat and help Gaara recover! I'll cover you!" Baki shouted.

'You really shouldn't shout your plan to the enemy pal.' Shiki thought as he sprung his trap.

His Adamantine Sealing Chains sprung from the ground to restrain his opponents, Baki saw them coming and dodged but the three genin, one of which was injured, one was still recovering from having all his chakra drained and the other was holding their injured teammate, could not accomplish the same.

"Ha! As expected of a jonin! Nicely done!" Shiki commented as both of his hands started weaving seals separately for two different jutsu.

'Adamantine Curse Chains' This jutsu caused the chains to fuse to the restrained targets turning into chain shaped curse marks that were impossible to be removed and could restrain not only movement but also the target's chakra flow.

Meanwhile his other hand seals were weaved before Baki could mount a counter attack. They wee used to strengthen his Genjutsu: Sharingan that immediately caught the Suna jonin who did not realize the folly of looking a Sharingan user in the eyes.

After restraining them all Shiki then kept watch of the battle between Orochimaru and Hiruzen while stealing Naruto's Talk no Jutsu he used in the original series on Gaara with a few adaptations which not only would help him secure the future Kazekage's allegiance but also impressed Temari which was always a plus in Shiki's book.

Shiki's students could of course avoid Kabuto's genjutsu and had already been ordered by him to help in the evacuation of the civilians a job he also gave sasuke once the opponents before them were restrained, Hayate also left the prisoners to Shiki before going to help the others.

The battle between the former master and student was going slightly different from canon since not only was Orochimaru incapable of summoning the Fourth Hokage Minato, He was also incapable of doing the same to the First Hashirama due to Shiki's use of his soul.

Despite this, the flow of the battle had not changed much from canon and both Kage level shinobi were just going at it not even fully serious due to their past bonds not yet being totally forgotten. Shiki didn't have the slightest intention of intervening so he just watched as the events unfolded.

If the old man survived Shiki would "convince" him to retire and if things played out like in canon, he would "care" for his soul.

Also, being the only person in the world with the ability to solve Orochimaru's injury from the Reaper Death Seal as well as possessing all of his resources which were in the process of being stolen at this very moment would give Shiki a lot of leverage against the former Sannin.

And so, all the invading shinobi were all killed or captured, the invasion was thwarted with minimal damage and all that was left was the clean up and checks which were being done already and for the battle between the two bosses ot finish.

Despite lacking one of the planned reanimations, Orochimaru still managed bring things to a end virtually equal to the one in the series when it came to the battle between him and the Hokage, his Konoha Crush on the other hand, went very poorly and as for Suna, Shiki had no intention of letting them get away as freely as they did in canon.

With a fake Danzo under his command, he had a lot more "pull" in village politics and would definitely use this as an opportunity to advance his own agenda and create a much closer tie between the two villages which would include placement of some Konoha shinobi in Suna and vice versa, of course with very different positions and privileges, as well as the sharing of missions.

Tsunade would would be on the fast track to become the Fifth Hokage would also help him achieve this. With Suna's much heavier losses than in the original series they would be unable to refuse after all, their Kazekage was dead and Shiki held prisoner all three of his children as well, one of them even being Suna's sole jinchuriki.

This ensured he would get his way even if he made even harsher demands.

But now, it was time to mourn for the Third, even though he was bothersome and senile, he was still quite a good guy so he would be very respectful in his funeral, and would "respectfully" make good use of his soul and all the knowledge it contained . . .
