Moving on, Shiki started to work on the Yamanaka hijutsu. By combining it with his White Eye of the Kagura, he was enable to enhance its effects and grant his doujutsu a couple of extra effects.
Mental communication with anyone within its range and, should their will be weak enough, they can be controlled. Finally, Shiki was now able to transfer his consciousnees and completely take over a body within his range with no time limit and risk other than his own body's vulnerability.
Surprisingly, this was much easier to achieve than the modification of his shadow manipulation jutsu which still needed to be trained to a satisfactory degree.
Alas, not everything went so well . . .
Just as he had feared, there was no way to get a parasite like an insect to withstand the environment that was his physical form. His power, his aura of death and his automatic self healing made it utterly impossible.
Trying to create Yomi insects proved to be futile as well. In the end, insects are life and no life can resist the power of Yomi. Even Shiki had to give up his status of being fully alive to gain access to its power after all . .
'Well then . . . It truly is a shame but since it can't be done, it can't be done, I can only move on.' Shiki thought.
'Hmm . . . I still have to test my Tailed Beast Scroll . . . Other than that . . . I guess I can put some more effort into finding out the true power of the Ketsuryugan. Maybe even unlock some hidden ability it possesses . . .'
'Even if there is none, by being completely melded into my being after the Soul Transmutation, some changes must have occurred.'
'I should also make some time to summon and check out Madara's soul. It's an important piece of my plans after all . . .'
'First though, the scroll . . . Time to see if my efforts have paid off.'
Finishing his thoughts, Shiki teleported to the Tailed Beast Scroll's location.
'Hmm . . . Looks like it was a success.'
Shiki had infused Pure Souls into the Tailed Beast drawings on the scroll so that they could actually become autonomous living beings and thus exhibit greater prowess but still be completely loyal to him and him alone.
Now, the melting was finally complete and with his Soul Transmutation Jutsu, he could take it one step further.
The Tailed Beast Scroll only had one remaining weakness and that was its connection to the original creatures that were made into drawings.
As Shiki obtained various treasures and jutsu, he always made a point to improve the scroll and, one by one, he eliminated its weaknesses.
The chakra limit was first solved with chakra batteries filled with Ryumyaku chakra but, after obtaining the Tsuchigumo Style: Forbidden Life Technique Release: Creation of Heaven and Earth, he created a self recharging battery that used nature energy instead.
Their lack of intelligence and autonomy as well as difficulty in control were all solved by infusing souls into the drawings. That way, they would become autonomous and obedient living beings who would willingly offer power and help control it should Shiki command it.
However, their deep connection to the original Tailed Beasts still remained. Should this connection be broken by means of a sufficiently powerful barrier of seal, the drawings will instantly loose all their power.
There was also no guarantee that once the Tailed Beasts realized the existence of the fakes, they wouldn't be able to use the connection to cause problems.
Shiki had been worrying over this for a while now but after obtaining the Soul Transmutation Jutsu, he realized there was a way to fix this problem but that was only possible once the souls were fully integrated into the drawings like now.
'I can now use my jutsu to smooth out the bond between the souls and the drawings, thus making them new actual living beings. This is truly the domain of god. I'm creating actual life in a certain sense . . .'
'Once that is done, even if I sever the connection, the drawing who had gained life should hold their power . . . Or at least, that's the plan.'
Fortunately, unlike the useless insect development plan, this one worked, much to Shiki's relief. Now, he had nine fake but powerful tailed beast fully under control with power levels similar to the originals who now have about half of their true power due to his other plan.
'Hmm . . . Quite a bit of time has passed . . . Maybe I should go for some R&R.' Thinking this, Shiki decided to take a break despite still having some things to do.
'I may need quite a bit of time for my little project with Madara's soul so I better make sure I've nothing else to do and plenty of time before I get into it.'
'As for he matter of the Ketsuryugan . . . I can do it at any time.'
And so, Shiki went to find his lovers and have some fun.
Spending each night with a different girl and daytime having dates with whoever was free from their work at the time.
Shiki also spent some time with Hinata and Hanabi, taking the two out on an innocent date.
'Hehe~ Even if they're still a bit to young for my taste, walking around two with the two princesses of the Hyuga clan is quite nice.' Shiki thought as he led the to girls around Konoha.
Hinata was more confident now and even walked around while holding Shiki's hand without blushing two hard.
What surprised Shiki however, was Hanabi. In the original series, Hanabi was kind of expressionless when she was young and started to be more outgoing and even nosy and teasing as she got older.
Now though, she was quietly holding Shiki's other hand with a blush even more intense than Hinata's. It was an image so cute it healed one's soul.
Hearing of this date however, led to some jealousy from the flower girl Ino, who had been working hard to earn Shiki's recognition in her own right and so, he took her out as well.
Since Shiki had the ultimate stress relieving exercise, every single night, he even took out Sakura on a date as his mood was actually that great.
Truth be told, the young girls felt a growing distance from Shiki and they didn't like it at all. It seemed as if despite their hard work, they could not catch up to him at all.
They were not stupid either and as people who were actually quite close to Shiki, they could tell that something was always keeping him busy.
Just like Anko before them, they realised Shiki was doing something very important to him, something big and even if they didn't deduce as far as Anko, they just wanted to improve to the point Shiki would think them worthy to help him.
Having learned his lesson from Anko, Shiki realised this, even without them saying anything but thought it was still a bit too early for them. Not in terms of raw ability though. At the very least, he had personally trained Hinata to a Mugetsu worthy level but Shiki still had his doubts.
Would they be loyal to him over the rest of the world, even their parents? The girls were far too young for that. Maybe the day would come in the future but it was not now for sure.
Having already hit on the Konoha girls enough, Shiki decided to pay a visit to Suna instead and change his hunting grounds.
He took Saya out on date around town, just to see if he could attract a wild jealous Temari and boom! She appeared as predicted.
"Hey Shiki-san, Saya . . . What a strange coincidence. Never expected to see you two walking around together." Temari greeted them.
"Well, Saya here, realized the error of her ways and were having a little date to bury the hatchet if will." Shiki responded.
"Date!?" Temari shouted.
Saya looked down with a blush wj«hile Shiki just looked at Temari with a "What about it?" look.
'Why is that Saya acting like a shy little girl in love!? Didn't she despise the Konoha folk? Wasn't I the closest to Shiki.-an in Suna? This homewrecker!' Temari furiously thought.
In her mind, she had already decided to "sacrifice" herself and be Shiki's woman to establish good relations between their two villages since they were both of elevated status but now, a situation she didn't think of was happening in front of her and made her extremely jealous.
Even so, Temari wasn't very sure on what to say next so Shiki decided to provoke her some more.
"Don't tell me you're jealous my desert fairy!" Shiki said acting surprised.
As soon as he said that Temari started stuttering and blushed heavily.
'As expected of of Shiki-sama! Temari-san can not help but fall in his hands.' Saya praised her master in her mind.
"Want to join~?" Shiki teasingly asked.
