Zetsu Serum

The zetsu serum. By far the most miraculous thing to ever be created in the Desert Fortress' labs and truly a marvel to behold.

The S Grade Serum had a red purplish color similar to that of the chakra edibles of the Otsutsuki which made Shiki wonder if the two crazy scientists had managed to use the extremely advance equipment and infinite resources he provided to trace the zetsu's power back to its roots in the Divine Tree.

"Alright, we'll start from lowest to highest." Tsunade said as she began to explain the various effects of each grade of serum.

D Grade Serum had very minor effects. Slightly increased physical abilities and healing power, as well as increased endurance against both exhaustion and injury.

While not very pronounced in terms of efficacy, it was still a significant improvement to any shinobi and was even mild enough for civilians to use which would ensure greater health and longevity.

This particular grade was fine to sell in greater outside and it was yet another great product for Shiki to had to his more official business that was under his actual name.

C Grade Serum on the other hand was quite a bit better. Only usable by shinobi or samurai with the ability to use chakra it bore greater effects that the previous grade in terms of power but similar in terms of form.

It had however, the added benefit of reducing the amount of food and water intake an individual needed to survive. There was also a notable boost to one's longevity.

This was not something to carelessly sell but Shiki still made plans to distribute it in limited quantities at a later date once the impact of the other items he was going to introduce started fading.

Low ranking fringe members of Mugetsu would also be injected with this serum on induction thus greatly increasing their performance and further solidifying the organization's superiority in the underworld and beyond it.

B Grade Serum was already considered a boost powerful enough to only give to the most loyal and high ranking fringe members of Mugetsu.

Greatly increased physical abilities and endurance, self healing that could take care of small scrapes and cuts in seconds and flesh wounds in mere minutes while allowing one to survive grievous ones until proper medical care could be received.

One's need for food and water intake would be greatly reduced and the ability to meld one's aura into one's surroundings for near perfect stealth would also be gained.

The last ability being one of the main reasons only those extremely loyal to the organization receiving the privilege of taking this serum.

A Grade Serum would be the newest addition to the core member enhancement program and be exclusively used for that purpose.

One's physical capability and chakra had to reach jonin levels in order for this serum to work safely and thus, its effects were quite astounding.

But, there were also complications.

"During the tests, subjects were prone to uncontrolled mutation and cell division and we even had cases of test subjects becoming some form of Zetsu like monstrosity." Tsunade said.

"But . . . i took inspiration from the more, technology based uses you gave to the Gelel Stones and came up with a solution." Orochimaru interjected.

"Oh?" Shiki was intrigued.

As it turned out, orochimaru "programed the Gelel Stone to guide and control the serum's effects, boosting them in the process while also stabilizing them.

It reminded Shiki of the scientific ninja tool based self healing used by Kara in the Boruto series except for the fact it was even better due to integrating Gelel Energy and that Gelel Stones could not be destroyed without said energy.

The performance was astounding. So long as the core was not destroyed, even if one's head was blown off, it could still be regenerated much less limbs and internal organs.

The boost it gave to physical abilities was also quite extensive and one's need for food and water was eliminated completely even though one could still eat for pleasure.

Longevity was drastically increased as well and, along with the life extending properties of the Gelel Stones, it resulting in a sort of eternal youth whose limits had yet to be discovered.

Zetsu's ability to meld into the environment and travel around at fast speeds, his Mayfly Jutsu was also manifested in the test subjects along with increased sensory abilities and the ability to drain chakra through touch.

Las, but definitely not least, the serum also somewhat increased the user's affinity to nature energy. That along with the Curse Marks might even allow some of the members to learn senjutsu but that was something that required further and very careful testing.

"Okay then, only the S Grade left." Shiki said.

"Well . . . About that . . ." Tsunade's expression became strange.

"What?" Shiki asked.

"The S Grade Serum . . . might be useless . . . or at least have requirements so high that not even you can use it . . ." Tsunade explained.

"Details." Shiki simply said.

Orochimaru then took over.

"As we went through our . . . "materials" we realized we would need more and thus devised a way to produce more "Zetsu Material"." He started

"By forcefully feeding our subjects chakra fro the Ryumyaku and forcing them to activate their spore jutsu and multiply thus giving us unlimited material to work with." Orochimaru continued.

"And?" Shiki was not quite getting the point. He did find their solution to the lack of materials quite clever though.

"The different grades of serum were based on how potent and concentrated the extracted "essence" of our subjects were made and, since we had a lot of material to work with . . ." Orochimaru paused dramatically.

Shiki just gestured for him to hurry up but Tsunade was the one to finish his words.

"We basically went wild with our experiments and just burned through massive amounts of material while trying to get the most potent essence possible." She said.

"The results were mind boggling to say the least. While various herbs and drugs, most of which were produced by your experiments were used to harmonize the effects of the extracts from the Zestus and produce the serums, stims and pastes . . . It was quite different for the S Grade Serum."

"This vial . . ." Tsunade pointed at the singular S Grade Serum vial.

"It was the result of the extraction and purification process alone and just utterly destroys any herbs or drugs we attempt to had to the point we can't even contaminate or dilute the mixture." She explained.

Orochimaru then made one last observation.

"We attempted to inject a small drop of serum into a subject only to detect a massive surge of power followed by uncontrollable flesh growth and finally . . . the subject exploded." He said with a calm smile.

"Hmm . . ." Shiki pondered on what to do.

"Well . . . I'll do my own research ad see if I can figure out something, in the meanwhile, you all can start implementing the integration of the A Grade Serum in the enhancement pods." Shiki commanded.

'Hmm . . . They might have actually obtained some kind of Divine Tree Essence . . . It merits further study.' Shiki thought to himself.

After one last round of praise and congratulations Shiki, Tsunade and Shizune agreed on a more "private" celebration with just a three of them later tonight.

As a side note, the results from this experiment helped the soul clone that was wrestling with the Zetsu Guruguru type symbiotic armor to progress in his work and, perhaps soon, Mugetsu would have a new cool piece of equipment, after which their current stuff like Chakra Armor could be passed down to the lower members of the organization.

Moving on, while waiting for the "celebration", Shiki decided to set some things up with Aion that was actually the one to set things up on on the various bases across the world as per Shiki's commands.

Of course, all members but the core ones though AIon was just an organizer and an actual person or group that took care of dispensing the orders for all Mugetsu cells, not a highly advanced artificial intelligence.

Shiki just drew the plans for the dissemination of the new goods and gave Aion some parameters for it to start preparing for some of Shiki's future endeavours and not much else.

Still, hashing out all the details took time and so, not long after he was done, it was time for dinner. It was a weird experience, not bad at all but still weird.

'A romantic dinner for three . . . This was definitely not something I thought of . . . I don't know, feels weird but weirdly good I guess.' Shiki thought as he ate his food while appreciating the fine, fine eye candy.

Tsunade was wearing a wine red dress with no back or sides, long slits showing her legs and a v cut so deep it left very little to the imagination. It too all of Shiki's self control not to just leap over the table and take, something she noticed and was very pleased by.

Shizune's dress was a sleek black one with no back and sides as well but covered her front fully. Since it was fit perfectly though, it outline everything underneath bringing out a whole different type of sexy than Tsunade.

'This is going to to be a fun night . . .' Shiki though with anticipation.
