14. A SOUL! UNLEASH THE POWER OF A GINKEN!

"This will be a great meal for me!" The Demon laughed, once covering Carissa's body with her teared clothes. Several minutes after the event, Tim came across some noises, he stood at the alleyway, when hearing munches. Entering the alleyway, he put on his guard, when continuing his path forward. Hearing munches and crunches, he became a bit worried, but suddenly, he noticed two shadows in the alleyway, one of them eating on another. "H...hello." Tim asked and looked forward. The Demon's red eyes glowed, once he noticed who the killed person was. His eyes shook, trembled when he noticed a dead body of Carissa.

Tim still standing in front was in lack of words. "OH! How beautiful. Another free meal for me... so my friend... what exactly do you want?" The Demon who was facing Tim questioned with blood flowing down his mouth, splashing on Carissa's body. "W... what... have... you done to her?" "Do you need a pair of glasses? I ate her, of course... she was tastey... don't worry... soon as I slurp this blood, next on my menu is you!" The Demon called when sucking in more of the blood. ("Is... is... that... re...really... Carissa... it... it can't... be-") "Alrighty. You're next!". Tim's hair dropped down before his eyes shadowed because of covered hair, he stretched his right arm outwards, when hiding his sadness in mouth. Blue aura gleamed around his body. The demon saw a serious Tim. The demon was interested, but a huge blue aura blossomed around the boy. Tim's hair began to blow as he moved his right leg back. "Oh! You know! Posing will not save you from living! But at least you'll go out with a style." The demon bounced from wall to wall, right and left, as he aimed his hand forward. He quickly flew away with a bounce against Tim as the Demon snarled. "See you in forgotten hell!!!" Demon laughing crazly pulled his arm behind, Tim's left eye unleashed a blue flare and surprising Demon in an off guard. Demon's eyes noticed a reflection of fury and lust of blood, Demon's body that was thrown was cut after. Tim pulled his sword through the entire body, cutting and slaughtering the Demon in a singular blow, the 'poor' Demon was launched and smashed at the floor when, the body of his slowly whipened. "W...what... did.... he....cut me.... I... I got cut... how... how is... that... possible... I... I had the advantage.... am... have I've really been defeated by-" Before finishing his sentence, blue rays of light started crumbling through his body, once an impulsive explosion appeared, coloured blue. The wall cracked and shuddered. The Demon's body was vaporized into light, when Nensho unleashed a slight trail of blue-ish energy. With a blue beam still fading in distance, the girl who hunted down Demon and Ayuka who lost track of Tim noticed such tremorous power. "Tim....." Ayuka righteously rushed towards the energy when leaping over buildings. Tim's hair waved before once seeing teared up Carissa, laying on the floor. He dropped his sword once crouching and reaching for her corpse. "Carissa... how.... could you have fall for such trick... I'm sorry... this... this was all my fault... if I've found the Demon sooner... your body now... would... would still be here... smiling..." Looking at Carissa's faded pupils once her body was completely messed up he undressed his jacket, Tim quickly wrapped the jacket around her body. "And... out of everybody, the one who killed you... was your fake grandmother... you kept believing.... that she was your real grandmother... and never realized.... it.... all my fault... if I knew it myself... I'd help you...." The rain as it was told begun to drop down at incredible speed, splashing in ponds and making Tim's clothes and hair wet. "I hope.... you can forgive me..." Hearing footsteps in the distance behind Tim, splashing in water, closed in. "Tim, there you are! I was searching for-" But before Ayuka finished, she became frozen as her eyes shook. Tim turned around with incredibly unforgiving face. "....Ayuka...." Tim's calm words and tears were heard... With her body hopping up, she quickly listened. "I... I know... now... why the Demon wasn't always found.... or detected... it's because... he was taking a form of a human..." Tim explained while holding Carissa in his arms. ".....Tim.... I...." "No... it's fine... I'll get over it sooner or later.... Carissa." Tim put his forehead on her head. "I promise you... this is not the final time we'll meet... once I die... me.... and you... wil finally be great friends...." Standing up after his words, Tim put Carissa on her shoulder and passed by Ayuka. "....Let's... go..." Nensho disappeared in blue particles when Ayuka turned once again to look at him. Unable to sense, the girl withstood the event as well. ("Nensho wielder... I understand you now... you weren't the one who killed my parents.... you just wield Nensho was was once wielded by Giovanni...") Following the steps of Tim and Ayuka, with her head, she grabbed her hood and covered the top head. "Let your friend... rest in peace..."

[One day later]

|Tokyo City - Furō Street - Monday, 8:00 a.m.|

Tim was laying in the bed with his arms crossed behind his neck, as he looked at the ceeling.

Quickly hearing a scream, he blasted into a sprint after closing the door. "What the hell is going on over here!!?" Tim, stood with opened shocked eyes and mouth. "Get off me Myles! Stop touching me or I'll tear every limb from your body!!!" Carissa stood at the wall, with a youngster, glued to her body. "So soft! So fresh! It's so tasteful!!"

"Your smile was always so welcoming, precious and nice... you helped me with many things."

"Tim! Thank you so much! I was worried I won't get rid of him any time soon!" The girl called, quickly facing towards her, Tim sighed, crossing his arms he faced her. With her eye flinching with a drop of sweat down her cheek, she fulfilled her wish of being confused. "Uh, why.... why are you looking at me like that?" She followed with a question. "Why you ask? Why?! Because! Who told you to enter the apartment without my permission!!!" "Wait! No! It's nothing like that!" Carissa begun waving experimentally in front of her, worried. "I! I! I rang the bell! Myles answered! I asked him if I can enter, but only if you'd allow it!" Carissa called, making an substantial pose.

"We had so many great days even when we were just children.... but this is gone now... I'm stuck... with this shift of hunting down Demons... but even with this power... I couldn't have protected you.... and I promised myself... that every friend of mine will stay protected... as long as I'm alive.... seems I've broke my own promise... what an idiot I am... right...." Tim spoke when sighing, however he soon heard a voice. "Oh! You dummy! Don't say that!" With a surprised face, Tim sat up straight and looked around. "Who... who's there?!" Tim faced all around when unknowledgeable of the voice. "It was my own fault." Carissa's transperent body appeared floating in front of Tim's view. "...C....Carissa.... you... you're... you're... alive?!" "Of course I'm not... this is just my Soul Vessel... I must say... it's not fun being a ghost... I can't eat.. I can't touch things... and I cannot enjoy nature much at all..." Tim's eyes released tears. "Huh? Are you crying... that's something... you don't see every day... especially from you..." Covering and cleaning his tears, Tim made a smile. "I'm so glad... at least I can see you one last time... thank... you... for visiting before you'll be sent to the other world." Carissa flew closer and reached for my cheek, somehow able to hold it. "Thank you...." She spoke, Tim became confused. "T...thank you? But...I..." "For always... being on my side and helping me... since we were children, you were always so stubborn to help me and your friends... please... tell the others... tell them that I've changed my phone number... that I moved away..." Carissa answered when slowly backing away. "I... I promise.... but... do you think, you'll be able to visit me one more time in future?" Carissa made once again a cute but precious smile. "I'll do my best... but tomorrow.... I'll be disappearing..." "I... I see...." Tim upsetly faced down. "Hold on, don't give up hopes just yet... Carissa." Tim and Carissa quickly faced at Ayuka. "A...Ayuka, what are you doing here and what do you mean, by-" Carissa questioned. "He's lending me this place to stay for a while-" "not lending anything, you just picked it on your own..." "Anyway... there is still one thing you can do as a Soul... you're pretty close to Tim right?" "Well... y...yes... I suppose, we're very good friends..." Carissa shamefully scratched her hair with a smile. "What do you mean... Ayuka?" "You were searching for a Soul, but had no luck of finding one... Carissa... she can be the one to power up your Ginken... Nensho will be able to release its true power." "Hm?" Carissa confusingly asked. "What's the point... we wouldn't be able to communicate..." Tim grabbed his face. "Actually... you two will be able to learn communication through time... believe me... if she accepts you as her 'master'-" Tim quickly interrupted.

"...."

"Hey!! How dare you call me her master! Do you know how wrong that sounds! Don't be crazy you woman! It's enough crazy that I have to share my apartment with you! So no way, cowgirl! I am not being her master one bit! She is my friend and I am not her 'master'!" Ayuka and Carissa immediately became confused as Tim continued pointing and shouting. "Then you can be my master!" Ayuka, played around again called, when crossing her arms and smiled. Tim slipped down the bed, when rolled at the wall. "You people have no qualified politeness! You do not deserve such title, a Ginkenian? More like a 'Seducti-vians'!!" Ayuka and Carissa both laughed from Tim's shouts. "Hey! What's so funny! Why would I have to be your master!?" "What, would you rather me, to be your master?" Ayuka bursted in laughs. "That is not what I meant by it!!!" "Okay! Okay, enough... hear me out... a Master.... is a Ginkenian. They are called 'Master' because they are the ones wiedling the weapon... if Carissa binds with your Ginken, you'll be able to process different powers and by luck even defeat the Demons!" "So why did you say that I'm Master of Carissa?!?!" "Why that's simple, to fool around a bit, I needed to cheer you up from that depressed expression." "Huh... does that mean you like me?" Tim asked. Ayuka became serious once her forehead shook with a red mark on the top. "You fool! If you want me to like you?! you'll have to try harder than that!" Ayuka yelled as she pointed her finger at Tim's face. "Sure... you're totally falling for me." Tim looked away with his arms crossed and kitty face. "I told you! I don't like you!!" "So why did you get all heat up when I asked?" Ayuka became even more red into her face when her cheeks blushed. "Stop this at once! Carissa? Do you accept this offer, you won't need to go to Heaven just yet?" Ayuka wondered when barely calm. "Well... if Tim won't mind, I'll do so." "you're such a tsundere..." Tim said in the background, Ayuka looked at him when making angry expression. Tim felt an immersive blast into his face when he was blown through the ceeling by the punch of Ayuka. "That's my rooooooooooooof! Ayuka!!" Tim, flying through the sky shouted when blasting and disappearing in a flare. "That'll probably... leave a mark..." Carissa said when keeping her finger in front of her lips.

[A few minutes later]

"So... will you accept it or not?" Ayuka questioned with  her cool lost. "Alright... I will! Thank you Carissa, for helping us out!" "Of course! If it involes my friends! I'll help out any way I can!" "Now then... Tim, stretch your arm forward and open your palm." "Huh? Like this?" Tim stretched his arm forward and open his palm. Ayuka nodded. "Aim it at Carissa's chest." "HEY! What are you making me do you little cheeky perverted girl?!" Carissa was uncomfortable a bit. "Now call your Ginken and stab Carissa through the middle of her chest." "Whaaaaaaaaa!?!" "She won't die, she'll just bind with your Ginken... then it will extend your Ginken's power." Tim worryingly looked ahead. "You... still-" "Yes... go ahead... I trust your friend... besides if I die... it wouldn't matter. I'm dead anyways!" Tim took a sigh but nodded. "As you say, sorry if something goes wrong." Aura appeared once the Ginken came growing from the blue aura black knife stabbed through Carissa's chest once she felt weirdly, she transformed into a tiny glimpse of white light when bursting inside of the Ginken, feeling an unknown power, Tim immediately sensed that something else was binded with him. "Did... it work?" "It worked... however, it will take a few days for the power to increase... meanwhile, you should rest and prepare... soon... we're going to head for the Zero World!" The two of them smiled. "Yeah... and I don't plan on losing that challenge either..."

To be continue
