Chapter 8: Sunday Crime
Mika's P.O.V
It's already 11 am when I wake up and the first thing I do is to check my phone and my social media...I'm not a very friendly or talkative person yet I still get thousands of followers.
When I opened the wifi on my phone there's already a lot of notifications and messages from kalix, our GC, shieny, and some random boys which I NEVER replied to.
We chatted for a bit and he asked me a favor to accompany him to a certain law firm here in Barden City, I also invited him to join our Sunday service later at 2 pm and he is currently on his way here.
I browse on my phone for a bit and headed downstairs to eat my first meal of the day, I saw mom and dad on the dining table eating and they are talking about something serious.
"Goodmorning mom and dad hehe" I greeted them with a wide smile on my face and kissed them on their cheek.
"Goodmorning to you too young lady tho it's already 11 in the morning HAHAHA"
"Sorry hehe it's already 2 am when I fell asleep dad hehe"
"Its fine sweetie, so I and your mom has news for you"
"Mmmm okay, what is it?"
"Next month you're gonna continue your training Mika, you need to be ready"
"Your dad and I decided to let you continue your training as soon as possible"
"But why? I mean..I'm still young"

Kalix: Hello Mika, I'm already outside your subdivision hehe
'Oh really?? wait for me, I'm gonna pick you up in there'

"Who is that?"
"Oh, mom and dad...I forgot to tell you, I have a visitor today his name is Kalvin Lexer Allianza but his nickname is kalix so yeah hehe I'm gonna pick him outside our sub-division"
"An Allianza?? HAHAHAHA interesting, I thought that family hates us...HAHAHA"
"Dad HIS PARENTS hate us HAHAHHA I'm just gonna go and pick him up and we will be back here, he will also attend our Sunday service later"

I quickly go to my room to get my car keys and headed to our subdivision gate
to tell the guard to let him in. I just opened my car window and signaled him to follow me and drove to our mansion.

"HAHAHA thanks, Kalix, come in, mom and dad are waiting for us at the dining room"

I just gave him an assuring smile and I lend my hand for him to take it, at least comfort him and so I can pull him to our dining area.
"Mom...Dad..this is Kalvin Lexer Allianza, he is nervous tho because he thinks that you will be mad HAHAHA"
"Hehe pleasure to meet you, Mr. and Mrs. Standford"
"Ohh hi Kalix pleasure to meet you too, I'm your tita Martha Standford and this is your tito Albert Standford"

"Ahh hehehe they kinda do tito, they despised the Standford family because the Standford Empire is the biggest Empire in the world and they wanna kick you in that place HAHAHAHA"
"HAHAHA your parents Arthuro and Anitha have always treated us as their mortal enemy for the same reasons, I guess some people never change"

I almost spilled the water that I'm drinking when I heard what dad said...lol HAHAHAHA...but kalix automatically came in his defense and I was trying my best not to laugh.
"Ohh no tito HAHAHA I came here because asked Mika if she could accompany me to go to a certain law firm here in Barden City"
"In a law firm? what are you gonna do there?"
"Oh..about that tita...I guess it's not that of a big deal if I tell you but...the Marquesa Family has been claiming that I am their son and just got switched, I mean, the nurse told them that the original son of the Allianza died and that someone switched it to the Marquesa because that time, the electricity went down and it took 30mins before it returned"
"So are you saying that the baby who died was the baby of the Allianza and not the Marquesa?"
"Yes tita, but it's not confirmed tho..later 6 pm we will go to meet the lawyer as well as the Marquesa family and my parents to see the DNA test result"
"Oh my, so if you're a Marquesa that means you and Mika can train together because you are the next marquess"

"Oh kalix dear, If the test result is positive, I'm sure your original parents will explain everything to you later"
"Ohh...okay...hehe"
After that, silence overcomes us, and only the sound of the spoon and fork hitting the plate can be heard, mom also offered Kalix to eat and he is too shy to decline even if he just finished eating his burger at burger king HAHAHA.
I then remembered what kalix told me on chat..that he will tell me the reason why he got kicked out of their own house.
"So Kalix you promised me that you will tell me the reason why you left your house? why?"
"Uhh Mika promise me if I tell you the reason you won't hate me or be distant from me...please"
"Of course...why?? what's the reason?"
Mom and Dad are also listening and waiting for his answer.
"Well... it's because of you Mika hehe"
"WHAT?!?!? WHY??? WHAT DID I DO?"
Even mom and dad were surprised about what he said.
"Heyy calm down you did nothing wrong it's just that they are pushing me to Stella Anteja but I never liked that girl and I told them that I already ended the thing between us, they said that the Anteja family can help us defeat you..the Standford's and I told them that I already met the daughter of the Standford who is nice and i....i...I l-liked h-her hehe"
"O-oh...haha...okay"
"EHEMM!!the parents of Mika is still here HAHAHA"
We all turned our head to dad when he said that...jeez I'm so embarrassed HAHAHAHA I can feel my face turning red shit.
"uh I'll just gonna take a bath hehe it's already 11:50 so that I can get ready for laters service"
"HAHAHA okay I'll just be in my office"
Dad said and headed to his office and followed him as well.
"Uhm Kalix you can watch tv in there, or if you want to take a bath too there is a bathroom on the left side of the stairs, I can give you an extra towel"
"Sure Mika, I wanna take a bath too cuz I don't wanna stink later HAHAHA"
"Okiieee I'm just gonna get you some extra towels, I'll be back"
I then headed to my room to get some extra towels so kalix can use them and after that, I immediately took a shower for a good 20mins.
By the time I finished taking a bath its already 12:10 pm and I still took time to choose what dress to wear but later on I just decided to wear my long-sleeved peach below the knee dress and comb my hair then put a black clip on the right side of my hair and after that, I just took a sling bag that only has my wallet, detective badge, and my phone then I headed downstairs.
Kalix is already done getting ready and he is now sitting in our living room and browsing his phone, we just talk for a bit its and we just waited for mom and dad to get down.
It's already 1:35 pm when they finished getting ready and we decided to go now since it's a 20mins drive to our church, we just used Dad's car, I and kalix are sitting at the back and just browse our phone while we are on our way there.
When we arrived at the church, there are police cars around it, we quickly got out of the car and asked one of our church mates about what happened.
"Our Pastor was found dead at the back of the altar, it looks like he was stabbed by the heart and I heard one of the police said that his neck was sliced too"
"WHAT?!?!?! who would dare to do that?? our pastor has no enemy in our church" Mom exclaimed, we are all surprised.
"Mom...Dad, I'm gonna go and see the crime scene, I have my badge here with me so they can recognize me, I wanna investigate this case"
"Sure sweetie, we will just head back home but you did not bring your car? how can you go home?"
Mom asked and I was surprised too HAHAHA silly me I forgot, I didn't bring my car with me so I guess I have to commute.
"I guess I'll have to commute then HAHAHAHA"
"Are you sure? I can ask someone to pick you up here"
"No dad it's fine, I'll just contact a grab car to get me home"
"Oh Uhm, Mika can I join you? I can help you investigate" Kalix insisted.
"Sure Kalix, you can" And he just smiled at me in response.
"Okay, take care, both of you, we will get going now"
"Sure dad safe driving"
After that, mom and dad got back to the car and drive their way home, I and kalix then proceed to the inspector in charge who is surprisingly not inspector Lee, I just showed him my badge and told them that Kalix is with me and will help to investigate.
"This is exciting HAHAHAHA"
"Yepp solving crime cases is always exciting kalix HAHAHA"
"Sooo.. let's go check the body first, it's still there"
"Ok sure, I guess starting today I have a partner now HAHAHA let's catch the culprit"
"Sure General 99, and next in line Empress Mika of Descendants of the sun"
I was shocked when he said that.
"How did you know?..."
"I'll explain later babe, let's solve this first...."
