The End

Narrator's POV

The call between Win and Bright just ended. Win kept reminiscing about the past, he looked emotionless, like he didn't give a care about the world.

Bright's lover breathed in too much, she inhaled more than his lies, she inhaled black fumes. His lies poisoned her heart, while the black fumes painted her lungs black. She drowned herself in liquid that's not water, the liquid made her all hazy.

She drowned and regretted, her fate's been sealed. Her life came to an end, and he was the cause.

Win's lover tied a knot to end her life. She grew tired of his infidelities, and how he doesn't want to tie a knot between them, so she did it herself. She tied a knot– but not between them, but between her head and torso.

In her last moments, she hated oxygen, she also hated how he never really loved her.

How he doesn't really care.

Win was busy thinking when his phone suddenly rang. A message from that app popped out.

The same exact message that made his life turn into a complete catastrophe.

"You will meet Bright Vachirawit tomorrow, here's his number: xxx-xxx-xxx"

His eyes widen as the cycle begins again. The day ended quickly, Win was excited but he dreaded the moment as much.

-The next day-

Win was sitting on a chair in the cafè that Bright and him first met. He was drinking his order, patiently waiting for his ex lover. He looked up for he heard the door of the place open.

Bright was standing there, his eyes were puffy and mouth agape. He was just staring at Win, his tears were flowing freely.

Win stood up, and stared at him also. They stood there, a black rabbit trailing behind them. A black rabbit in their path– not a cunning nor deceiving one though but a black rabbit that fears intimacy more than anything in the world.

Fear both reached their hearts, but instead of the fear seeping through the cracks in their hearts, breaking it completely — it mended their heart strings and tangled it with the others'.

The black rabbit cowering them, like they were just a shadow to it.

Win saw that Bright's wrist has his name on it.

"Finally." Win thought, as he hoped to have a fairytale like ending.

But the rabbit grew larger, overpowering them. The fear grows larger, their heartstrings that were tangled with each other— broke cause the fear laced the strings, the knot tying the strings together loosened, and let each other go.

Fear won.

Win was still in love with him. He was happy that they were soulmates, but he realized that soulmates aren't always meant to be, right?

Other than that, he didn't realize he was falling for his own trick.

The same trick used 6 years ago.

The trick he used to fool him too.

Cause all he thought about that time was how they were chosen by fate.

They cried in unison, hearts beating in sync, both have broken heart strings that was cut off by the other.

-A glimpse at the future-

Their bodies were tangled under the bed's sheets. The artificial warmth giving them solace through their difficult love.

The cold wind bursted the window open, the breeze coming in the house, hitting their skins as they cuddled each other more.

A love so flourishing, full of romance, was turned into something small and complicated.

Platonic love.

They were friends, nothing more, nothing less. They share the rain cloud above their heads, the black rabbit on top of that cloud.

The fear still lingers around their systems.

The fear to love once more.

The fear to trust again.

The fear of having again a soulmate that wasn't meant to be.

The fear that even fate can't bound them together.

The fear that the knot that tied them together wasn't strong enough.

The fear of a love that's not eternal

They were so close, that they breathed each others' air, cried each others' tears. They were friends that fell in love with each other— but not meant to be each others' eternal love.

Win's name was still on Bright's wrist, Win still not realizing that it's a fake and Bright being swallowed by guilt each day they spend time together.

They didn't want to risk anything, so they stayed as friends so atleast they can't break each others' soul.

They chose to live in fear, drown in it than to drown in their flourishing love for one another— well supposed to be flourishing.

They live in toxicity and chose friendship as their assurance.

Their relationship will never escalate from there.

I guess...

The black rabbit won.

Hey it's the narrator here, do you ever wonder why I know all of this? And why I don't know every single thing.

Well I'm Bright's supposed to be lover:)

But he chose to imprint Win's name on his wrist.

We've met...before.

You might think why Win's name wasn't erased by mine:]

Well because I committed suicide.

Yes, I'm telling this story from..wherever you want it to be.

We've met before:) He told me everything, and begged me to let him go to his life.

So I let him go, and let my life go too.

Yes, I'm his unknown lover.

My name's Gigie:)

And I'm only here to tell the tale of two broken souls.

To pass on the story!

This story doesn't really have a happy ending, right?

But it's not really sad so that's great, right?

It's not too angsty, right? I hope I didn't break your tear ducts:(

Anyways, go read a overly happy story now! So that you can cheer yourself up.

And oh...I forgot to tell you that...

This isn't actually a tale of two broken souls, but the tale of the black rabbit.

A tale circling around fear, fate and love.
