Chapter 25

Simon was shocked looking at the ancient dragon of nature. The prince and his fellow dragon riders stood in shock looking at the dragon.

If brown and green could ever look beautiful that would not describe the beauty of the dragon standing in front of them.

The ancient dragon stood proud in front of them and said, "dear future queen her is my test for you." Crystal took a deep breath and turned around to see Nylla and Starmist coming forward including all of the elder dragons and Aqua.

Crystal felt nervous but took a deep breath and said, "I'll take your test now."

The ancient dragon walked over a dry fountain and said, "What is more important clearing a forest for humans to settle of learning to create living within a forest? and explain your reason for your answer."

Crystal closed her eyes and said, "I believe its more important to learn to create a living within a forest then clearing the forest for humans to build their homes.

My reason is simply without trees we don't have oxygen to breathe, trees need water to live and so if there is no trees or forest we don't have any water or oxygen." Crystal replied.

The ancient dragon asked, "Is this your final answer?" Crystal took a deep breath and said, "Yes this is my final answer."

The ancient dragon remained quiet for a while the crowd that had gathered was holding its breath until the ancient dragon spoke and said, "My name is Sakura the ancient dragon of nature and you, my dear Crystal has passed my trial. You will find the natural stone hidden within a forest on a forgotten island."

Crystal took a deep breath as she saw a second barrier covering the island. Crystal saddled Nylla and prepared to go and look for the natural stone.

Simon had saddled his dragon too and both riders left to retrieve the natural stone on a forgotten island. The search was not an easy one with the storms making the search near impossible but Crystal pushed forward and soon Nylla told Crystal about an island in sight.

The dragons flew over the land. They found a landing spot and both riders returned there dragons to the riding bracelets to let them rest while they went looking for the stone.

The forest was dense the routes was thick and the rocks were big. The gound they had to cover amidst the storm was a challenge but Crystal was glad that she didn't have to do it alone for every time one almost fell the other stopped them from falling.

The riders reached the centre of the forest and found the stone glowing in the dark. Crystal took the stone and put it in her storage and both riders returned to the shore and let their dragons out.

The flight back was just as challenging with winds that made the flight almost impossible to fly safely but in the end, both riders and their dragons landed safely in front of the ancient dragon of nature.

A crystal placed the natural stone in the old fountain and the glow created a big and beautiful forest. The ancient dragon of nature brought fought a patch of beautiful flowers and many fresh fruits for the riders and animals to eat.

"You are indeed worthy to be crowned our queen," Sakura said and Aqua came forward and said, "It's good to see you once again my old friend."

The two ancient dragons embraced one another and settled down to talk about the times when the queen of dragons truly rules the land.

"This is not the history of Golsend that I know about, I've never heard of the ancient dragons protecting the island," Simon said. Crystal looked at the elder and ancient dragons and said, "maybe the problem in Golsend has to do with a crown that never passed their trial?"

Simon looked at the dragons and said, "you might be right about that, these test is going to test everything you have and those stones might be impossible to find" Simon said.

"Yes, but I believe we will be okay and we will find a way to stop Eione in his track." Crystal and Simon took of the riding gear from there saddles and let their dragons go and get some rest.

Crystal herself was tiered and found herself falling fast asleep as soon as she entered her home and settled on her bed.

The riders were busy with work when they noticed another group of dragon riders appeared but taking Crystals advice they took shelter first telling the elders and ancient dragons to hide.

The group of riders felt things on the island was different and they didn't understand it at first but they dumped two more dragon elders on the island. Crystal felt the dragon elders pain and rushed out only to be prevented by the riders. "Those aren't our riders if you go they might kill you."

The group of riders left and Crystal could only think of one thing. The elders need help and she was going to give it her all.

"I need water and send the dragon to bring food for the elders that were injured," Crystal said. She took the only book she had on dragon injuries and illnesses and went to examine the elder dragons.

The ancient dragons Aqua and Sakura looked at the dragon elders and the riders could tell they were angry. The elder dragons had gathered and said, "this is an unforgivable crime."

Crytal gave the dragons something for the poison and made sure they ate the food the dragons brought. They also drank the water that the riders brought over. Crystal cleaned the wounds and started giving the dragons round the clock care.

Nylla came to Crystal and said, "I am worried about my mother and the other crystal dragons."

Crystal looked at Simon and asked, "do you think the crystal dragons will be okay with Eione's threat?" Simon was quiet for a while and said, "The crystal dragons can create a barrier around the crystal palace they two might be taking in injured dragons I believe they will be okay," Simon said.

Crystal sat on a rock and closed her eyes to rest for a while and said, "We are going to need help if the injuries get a lot worse, I can only give first aid" Crystal said.

Simon looked around and realised the injured dragon elders need to be moved to a safer place and out of the sun.

"I need volunteers, we need to move these two elders into the dragon stables so that they can be out of the sun" Aqua and Sakura used their element to move the two dragon elders to a saver location.

The two riders returned from Callion and had brought the king himself." The prince and his riders bowed down to the king and said, "look father the ancient dragons Aqua and Sakura has returned" the king paid his respect to the two ancient dragons and was shocked to see that the elder dragons are gathering as well.

There's was Thunder, Forest, Rose, and the two injured elder dragons who was also known as Duke a fire dragon elder and Marine a water dragon elder.

The king noticed Crystal was taking care of the two injured elder dragons along with the help of Starmist.

Simon walked towards his father and said, "We need a full-time healer here, they bring the elders here two by two but that's because we somehow convinced them there is a rouge dragon on the loose here and three more cornerstones need to be activated but before that let me show you what we discovered."

Simon led his father the king towards Crystal and together they showed the king the red beryl and green beryl. "They were in the open not really in hiding." Crystal said.

The king examined the stones closely and said, "These are not the stones that were responsible for the war in Callion but we have looked into the possibility of the very same stones being used in the war on Callion and it has been confirmed" Crystal realised the solution was the elves, "Isn't the green beryl needed to free the dragons?" Crystal asked.

"Yes, and the elves have been put on alert and we're asking them for help. The Crystal Palace has many dragons fleeing towards them and soon I fear they will come here as well"

Crystal looked around and said, "There are no people living on this island if your riders leave I don't think I can do this on my own I need some kind of help," Crystal said.

The king looked around and said, "We will give you all the help that we can but the storm is making it hard to get help to you" Crystal thought about it and called Thunder to her.

"Thunder please is there a way for the riders from Callion to get to us faster. I fear more dragons might come to hear injured and we will need to help them but alone I can not do it?" Thunder looked at Crystal and said, "If we stop the storm now the island won't be a save haven for the injured dragon elders."
