Chapter 27

"The future queen will be a ruler like non before her. Where have you heard of a queen going this far to help those in need?" Sakura said.

"My mother said the same thing when we saw her last," Nylla said. "Why is your mother?" Alya asked. Nylla looked towards the sky and said, "She is the dragon queen for the crystal dragons, Aurora the crystal elder," Nylla replied.

"Well this is a very small world then, I thought the crystal dragon vowed to never bond to a human?" Drake said.

"A nursemaid forced us to bond and we were separated for many years but since we found each other we haven't been apart. Unless you count her sleeping comas as apart," Nylla said. "What sleeping comas?" Aqua asked.

"Crystal is part elve and so she senses and uses powers that humans cant use. Usually, part elve humans are more human then elve but Crystal's an exception. She is strong if you considered she broke up two of the fight that I started with elders Zion and Volcano."

The ancient elders looked at Crystal and said, "she must have had some training from another elve." Aqua asked.

"She was born in the Evergreen forest of Avalon. There the elder Forest and the elve named Red with the help of a nurse made helped her mother give birth her but the nursemaid had other plans and forced the bond as soon as the princess was resting.

Everyone was angry and the Crystal dragon moved her eggs to another area. It was only noticed after the eggs were moved that one has bonded to Crystal and of course my mother now had no choice in the matter," Nylla said.

The ancient elder dragons stood to watch over Crystal as she was sleeping. They watched over the dragons that have arrived and the creatures that have come out of hiding to play in the sun.

Crystal woke up the next morning feeling sore but refreshed and noticed all five ancient dragons standing around her.

"You did a brave thing risking your life for my friend and you have proved that you not only tell others what to do but you are not afraid to do the work yourself. Never lose that quality dear future queen for that is one of your best qualities," the ancient metal elder said.

Crystal looked around and got up to clean her face with a bit of water and feeling refreshed she asked the metal dragon, "what is your test?"

The dragon remained quiet for a while and said, "Answer my question and ill tell you my name, what do you need to be a strong queen?" Crystal sat down and thought for a while out of all the trials this is one question she had trouble with. It was almost nightfall and Crystal still had no answer until she had a close look at all five ancient dragons.

Aqua has water, Sakura has nature, Drake had a fire, Alya has air and metal that is also known to be a strong element. Crystal suddenly knew what the answer was.

"Determination to push threw difficult times, the will not give up and to keep trying and to think before you act." Crystal answered.

The metal dragon lowered his head and asked, "so to be strong doesn't' require more power of dragons?" he asked.

"To be strong comes in more way than one. It's different for everyone?" Crystal replied. The metal dragon looked at his friends and replied, "my name is Ferrum and you are a worthy queen."

Crystal took a deep breath and gave a sigh of relieve. She felt like she achieved something having to pass five trials that meant only two trials left but then she wondered is that really was all she had to do.

Pass seven trials and she will be queen. "Is there really only seven trials?" Crystal asked.

"It depends on what the last two ancient dragons and what test they give you but bear in mind no one had ever passed their test for they are just like the Crystal queen.

They believe that dragons bonded to humans are weak." Ferrum said. Crystal noticed the barrier is strong now and asked, "will the darkness dragons stay of this island now?"

The ancient elders looked at one another and said, "it will keep them out for now but only until they figure out how they get past the barrier only the dragons of light and dark can keep this land save from there approaching darkness," Drake said.

"It's okay we will figure it out but before the theme, we have some dragons that need healing. How are your wounds, Alya?" Crystal asked. "My wounds have almost healed thanks to your hard work," Alya said.

Crystal checked all the dragons and realised they needed more stables that are hidden from sight and set off to think of ways to accompany more animals and dragons.

She started by thinking of a way for the ancient elders to hide safely close to there pillars and looking at Aquas pillar she got a great idea when she saw a few rocks laying around. Crystal made an underwater cave that had land on it as well. There was a small entrance if she ever needed to give Aqua medical treatment.

She also planted some trees around the den to make it more hidden. Aqua was happy that she now had a save place to rest when there was danger.

Crystal looked at Sakuras place and realised there were a few old trees that died in a recent storm that could be used to create a hidden den for Sakura and with the help of several riders and their dragons, Sakura soon had a save den that no one would see unless they were looking for the den.

Crystal found ways to create natural dragon dens without destroying nature. Drakes den was within a mountain cave that was surprisingly very cool. Alya's den was hidden in another cave that has many openings that let fresh air and wind blow threw at all times.

Ferrum's den was hidden in a cave surrounded by many rocks and metals. Crystal then started to create many well-hidden dragon dens and as soon as a dragon was healed she took them to there new home.

Rose and Forest were both with natural elements so she gave them dens in Sakura's forest and so Crystal gave every dragon or creature a home created with there needs in mind, Crystal looked at Starmist and decided to create two more animal homes one for Nylla and one for Starmist.

She found a way to create a stable much like a horse stable but a little bigger and not letting Nylla lose out Crystal had found a hidden cave close to her home that she decided to use as a cave for Nylla who was really happy to have a place of her own.

It took days if not weeks to create so many natural dragon dens and homes for animals with the help of the riders everyone was saved no matter the danger that approached but when Crystal awoke the next morning she saw the one man on the island she never wanted to see again.

Her father and they had brought another injured dragon elder. "Come here you stupid girl?" he called her. "I am not stupid and you are trespassing?" Crystal answered.

"I will do as I please now had over the black stone?" he ordered. There is no black stone here if it was here it's stolen!" Crystal said. Her father was about to come closer when Nylla appeared and since she was an adult now she is a lot stronger then all of the dragons and their riders combined.

"The last time you showed up here, you tied my rider up and tried to kill both of us not again," Nylla said.

The riders mounted their dragons and said, "the rogue dragon is your daughter's dragon crystal dragons we have yet to beat one of those," they said. "Come back here you chickens!" her father shouted but the men were long gone and this two forced Crystal's father to evacuate.

"You should ask Eione for the black stone? it's not here" Crystal said as she watched her father leave.

Crystal turned around to see Simon coming towards her and asked, "he is your father?" Crystal took a deep breath and said, "Yes but he doesn't believe it, my mom never told him she was pregnant and so he chose not to believe me or the word of a dragon elder."

Simon looked towards his fellow riders and asked, "and your mother what about her?" Crystal took a deep breath but the answer came from Forest who said, "disappeared when Crystal turned ten years old and the woman I saw the other day isn't the woman I knew when she was a child and Crystals mother."

Crystal looked at Forest and asked, "You saw my mother?" Forest settled down on the ground and said, "only for a short while but it seems you were right. Eione has found a way to control humans as well."
