"I have never heard of such a thing those stones and keystones are nothing more than plain old stones believed to have gained power," said the elve elder. "You may believe what you want old-timer but there are those that know the true meaning of the stones and I fear they want that power," the crystal healer said.

"You are talking about the gateway to another realm," Crystal asked. "You know of the gate?" the crystal healer asked. "I was reading about it when one of the groups of riders found me but what I don't get is what is the key supposed to be?" Crystal asked.

"The key can be many things my dear but it only answers to one and I for one know's the key isn't here with us," the crystal healer asked. "Yes, well it doesn't matter where it is there might be some looking for it," Crystal said.

"I don't think so Crystal, it's true the gate to the other realm can only be opened form the other side but you have to remember the war in Callion didn't start over the gate but a man-made stone," Starmist said.

Crystal sat down and said, "the truth is we do not know what started the war and we do not know how to end the war." The crystal elder looked at Crystal and said, "child this war is not your problem why do you worry about it?"

Crystal looked at the crystal elder in shock and Forest replied, "that's not what we were told, you are looking at the dragon queen." The crystal elder looked at Forest and said, "true but there will never be a true dragon queen. Many tried to replace her but not many have succeeded in fact there will only be one true queen and she is not you," the crystal elder said.

Crystal was sitting later that evening on her own and not in the mood for company. She was angry at everyone around her for making her go threw so much and for nothing.

If they didn't want her to be the next dragon queen fine she won't be the next dragon queen but she somehow wanted answers. Why put her threw so much and for what nothing. Prince Leon came looking for Crystal and found her sitting at the back of the building.

"What are you doing here?" Prince Leon asked. "I needed some time alone away from the dragons, I don't understand any of this," Crystal said.

"What do you mean?" Prince Leon asked. "My mom is Avalon's second princes and my father is one of Avigalla's princes it's said that my grandmother was the last dragon queen and the origins were in Golsend but now they tell me its not my crown?" Crystal asked

Prince Leon was shocked and said, "are you sure that's what they said?" he asked. "Yes Leon I am no fool but why would mom lie to Forest it means everything I know is a lie. Was there ever any truth?" Crystal asked.

Prince Leon didn't know what to say and said, "whatever the truth is, we might never know," Prince Leon said and left without waiting for a reply. Crystal was shocked to see that in the morning Furry was gone and then she heard rumours that her mother was in the kingdom on a royal visit.

Crystal grabbed her gear and prepared to find her mother. She wanted answers and it didn't matter the cost. She silently saddled Nylla who was shocked that Crystal wasn't taking anyone else with her.

It was only when they were really far away that she asked, "where are we going?" Crystal took a deep breath and said, "to find my mother and get answers if I am useless why to lie to everyone about it."

Crystal found the place where her mother was arriving and to her shock, she felt an evil like nothing she ever felt before. She saw many ancient and elder dragons gathered. The worst part was they didn't seem alive anymore.

"This is a bad idea Crystal," Nylla said. "Do you have a better idea?" Crystal asked. "Yes, let's leave now," Nylla complained but Crystal was to determined for answers. She was in disguise and kept in hiding for a long time. She learned she had a younger brother and sister but what shocked her the most was her mother.

Crystal kept in hiding and heard her stepfather tell her brother, "you find Crystal and kill her she was a mistake that should never have happened. If she learns the secret of the crown of Golsend it will defeat us. Eione are you sure she is here?" the man asked.

Crystal was shocked at what she saw, she found herself asked the question why was the Golsend crown but for once she was happy she grew up where she grew up.

Crystal quietly left the area unseen and deep within the forest Crystal let Nylla out. "I didn't recognize my mother at all but worse was the amount of ancient and elder dragons under there control."

Nylla lowered her head and said, "It will be okay Crystal." Crystal took a deep breath and went towards a tree. "I hope you are right Nylla but I don't have answers I wish I had should I be happy my mother abandoned me and is now trying to kill me?" Crystal asked Nylla.

"I don't know but one thing is for sure, Ellen is right and I believe she spoke from experience. We need to find the dark and light ancient dragons and guard them maybe when they are full-grown we will have the answers we need." Nylla said.

Crystal looked around and said, "why me Nylla, they don't want me I think its best if we find a save spot and live there. Let them fight this war there way and just stay out of it," Crystal said. They were suddenly interrupted by a dragon landing and all though Crystal didn't look she already knew who it was."

"You sure had an easy life and now even you judge me?" Crystal said. She looked around to see Prince Leon coming towards her and she got up. Nylla started growling and Crystal looked around to see she was surrounded.

She took a deep breath and calmed Nylla down. She focused her power and spread a calming wind threw the forest and soon the forest was singing. "You keep locking me up it's what you do best isn't it?" Crystal asked.

"If we are so good at it why did you leave?" one asked. "She is healed now besides I wanted to see if my mother really changed as much as Forest say she has. He was right I didn't recognise her at all." Crystal said.

The men looked around in shock and Crystal replied, "I do ride a crystal dragon you know we were long gone before they spotted us but they are here on a mission but that does not involve you at all," Crystal said.

"What do you mean?" one asked. "It means you don't have to worry?" Crystal replied.

Crystal touched a tree but before she could focus she was shot at the back and in her last breath she told Nylla. "It's finally over, sorry about everything?" Crystal said as she was falling asleep.

Crystal found herself in a dream once more with two dragons standing in front of her. She recognized the one immediately and said, "Ellen I am sorry, I failed you and everyone," Crystal said.

Ellen looked at the black dragon and said, "this is Jett the dark dragon and for many years we have been apart. Your role is not over my dear Crystal it has only just started. She will be coming soon keep a lookout for her and keep her save for only the Golsend Crown can protect her and her offspring now."

"I don't understand what is the Golsend crown, why is my stepfather convinced it can destroy them?" Crystal asked. "The crown itself is but only a symbol of power Crystal true power comes within and it will only awake once you found the one thing you truly want to protect," Jett said.

"What do you mean? I do not understand," Crystal said. "You will soon my dear," Ellen said. Crystal found herself in the middle of a forest and coming towards her was her mother. "Mom, why did you leave?" Crystal asked. "Now is not the time for questions Crystal you need to wake up danger is coming to your brother found you,"

Crystal looked around and noticed the air changed it got cold and out of the corner of her eye, a sward came at her. Crystal woke up with a scream and at first, she didn't know what was happening or where she was. The more hand kept her down the more she fought them.

Then came a gentle hand and its power calmed her down. Crystal closed her eyes and soon fell into a dreamless sleep.
