Chapter 52

Crystal and Nylla landed on the ground after returning from destroying the camp. Nylla gave a mighty roar and almost every crystal dragon around showed their respect by lowering their head to the ground.

Forest and Rose followed Nylla and it wasn't long before Starmist landed on the ground next to Nylla. She was different, her wings were bigger and like Nylla they were now covered in gemstones. Her horn was bigger and now was snow-white with tiny gemstones decorating them. Her body that was once grey, was now Snow-white but her main and tail were like Crystals hair filled with blues greys purples and pinks.

Crystal dismounted Nylla and hugged Starmist and asked, "how is this possible?" Then Forest spoke and said, "I believe its the power of the Golsend crown. It's said according to a legend that the crown itself evolves and so does her team," Forest said.

"With each evolution, a new power is gained," Rose said. "It's my first time seeing this power with my own eyes but now I believe there's truth in the legends we were once told," Forest said.

Crystal looked at Starmist and asked, "are they waiting for us?" Starmist looked towards the mountain and said, "yes, they are waiting. She's heavy with eggs Crystal, we need to prepare a save place for her," Starmist said.

Crystal looked around and wondered how she was going to make sure they are saved. "I have an idea, Crystal follows me," Lady Fella said. Crystal followed and found herself looking at a home that is surrounded by the forest and in a hidden cave, she found enough place for all the dragons to rest.

"Will this do?" Lady Fella said. "Yes, thank you, Lady Fella," Crystal said as she and a few other riders got to work and prepared the cave for the dragon's arrival.

The group arrived and Crystal found it wasn't just two ancient dragons that have arrived but three others among them the Celtic ancient dragon, nova ancient dragon and finally the time ancient dragon but unlike the one, she has already met this one was a female and she looked a lot older.

Crystal looked at Forest and said, "I didn't know it was possible for two ancient time dragons to exist?" Forest looked deep into the cave and said, "there are as far as I know three ancient time dragons. One for the past, one for the present and one guard over the future. Then, as far as I know, there is the ancient oracle dragon who predicts or wars of danger," Forest said.

"I didn't know, are they all coming here?" Crystal asked. "If things get worse then we might just see them all," Rose said. Crystal checked on the rest of her team only to find everyone fast asleep.

She sat on the steps of the home she was going to live in for a while and started thinking of all the people, creatures and dragons she met so far. She looked at the stars and wondered if things will ever be normal again but she was determined to keep her promise to Ella and Jett.

"What are you thinking about?" Prince Leon asked. "If you told me two years ago I was going to be here preparing to fight one of the biggest fights this world has ever seen. I think I would've told you your crazy but now I don't know. I wish I knew what was the right thing to do," Crystal said.

"I am sorry for not telling you the whole truth," prince Leon said. "Why did you not tell me?" Crystal asked. "My family is one of a few families tasked to protect this valley and its existence telling you is against the rules," Prince Leon said.

"I get that there are rules Leon but what I don't understand is why to take us there if we are not supposed to be there?" Crystal asked. "The truth I didn't know where else we are going to get the information on how to heal Nylla," Prince Leon said.

"Thank you for taking the risk then but you could've told me we needed to leave when Nylla was healed," Crystal said. "I didn't think we would be found so fast besides I want to know why they say the Golsend crown will destroy everything but so far it looks like its a myth," Prince Leon said.

Crystal looked towards the stars and said, "I missed this you know," Crystal said. "What do you mean?" Prince Leon asked. "The feeling of nature around us, the stars above us and well good company," Crystal said.

"Your saying I am good company?" Prince Leon asked. "Well yes, I can't believe how I missed our conversations the last few weeks," Crystal said.

"That's good to know, I mean, its good to know your not that angry at me anymore," Prince Leon said. "What do you think we should do with Nylla and Furry?" Crystal asked.

"I don't know, Furry has gotten a had full since he discovered who his mate is, but I am worried about this war the elders keep warning us about, not that many people is taking it seriously," Prince Leon asked.

"Yes, and how are we going to keep the ancient dragons from ever being discovered again?" Crystal asked. "What do you mean?" Prince Leon asked. "They are not meant to be used by riders Leon, this war happened because someone wants there power so maybe hiding them is for the best?" Crystal asked.

"I get why hiding them is saver but isn't that how this war started in the first place?" Prince Leon asked.

"I don't know, I thought this war is a misunderstanding but now it looks like its a fight over who has the most power," Crystal replied.

Prince Leon sat next to Crystal on the steps and said, "I don't think this is about power at all, there is no clear way to know but it seems Eione told some of the kingdoms a story and they believed him. Whatever he told them, it's what started this war, my father told me to be careful and news came Eione is trying to recruit more kingdoms," Prince Leon said.

"What but why?" Crystal asked. "You need to be quiet, I am not really supposed to tell you," Prince Leon said. "I can only guess what it is that he is telling everyone to join his cause and the truth I never found any evidence we have it," Crystal said.

"What do you mean?" Prince Leon asked. Crystal looked around and took out a jewellery box and opened it. Inside she took out a black ring and gave it to Prince Leon. "This one has no power it looks like the real one but it's not," Crystal said.

The prince was shocked but after looking at the stone closer she realised Crystal was right this was just an ordinary diamond someone coloured black. "That means this war is based on a misunderstanding," Prince Leon.

"Yes and if this is the fake one doesn't that mean that he is looking for the real one?" Crystal asked. "The worst part is a kingdom fell because of this lie," Prince Leon said.

"I am still alive and I do have a responsibility, I was asked to look after the ancient dragons and I will do so, even if it means making the world believe they do not exist," Crystal said.

Prince Leon looked at Crystal and said, "thas is like saying hiding is better than fighting." Crystal looked at Prince Leon and asked, "do you have a better idea, more and more ancients is being hunted and we need a solution," Crystal said.

"I know Crystal the problem there is no solution right now," Prince Leon said. Crystal and Prince Leon sat there in silence for some time until Crystal heard dragons approaching.

Crystal looked up and realised it was the five keystone elders. "Who are they?" Prince Leon asked. "Its Aqua, Sakura, Ferrum, Drake and Alya," Crystal said. "They keystone ancient dragons.

Nylla awoke from her slumber and took off towards the sky. "What is going on?" Crystal asked to ask Forest came out of the cave. The group landed and Crystal walked towards the five keystone ancient dragons. "Crystal the men working for Lady Fella isn't going to like this," Prince Leon said.

"Quiet everyone please we are only guest here," Crystal calmed the group down with her powers. "You have grown more powerful than the last time we saw you," Alya said.

"Yes we all have grown but why are you here is there a problem?" Crystal asked.

"Yes, Eione has caught more ancient dragons and we have seen how he does it. He uses a black stone and forces them to bond," Aqua said.

"What how is that possible?" Crystal said. "It seems Eione has a plan and many kingdoms joined him but they do not know that they are helping him to destroy us," Drake said.

Crystal got worried and looked at Prince Leon, "what else can you tell us of his plan?" Prince Leon asked. "It seems Eione has found out about the secret of the Golsend crown as payment for creating a black diamond," Crystal looked horrified by what the ancient dragon told her.

Then she looked at Prince Leon and took out the jewellery box one more time and showed the ancient dragons the black diamond. "I believe this is what Eione created," Crystal said.
