It was a new place, hence, it was difficult for Linda to sleep. She opened her eyes and was looking at the roof and the open window in the front and then again closed her eyes. She was just trying to sleep. This process went on again and again for sometime.

It was about 1:45 am, all of a sudden Linda heard a chaotic sound. It seemed many men and women were crying very loudly. At first, she could not make out where the sound was coming from. She tried to listen it very attentively, but, gradually the pitch became very high and it became clear that it was coming from the building and the nearby areas.

The boys in the next room also woke up at the loud wailing. They also heard that some men and women were being beaten with sticks mercilessly and they could hear their pathetic screams. Some were crying and pleading, " Please, leave us. Have mercy. We don't want to die."

The pitch of the chaotic noise was so high that the girls and the boys couldn't talk to one another. Suddenly, the doors opened automatically but no one could see who opened them.

All they could feel, was an eerie presence of something....coming towards them.....

The Next morning, the van came at 10am as per the programme. The driver waited for them at the door, but he saw from his van that all the doors were closed. So, he came out and went towards the room. He knocked at their door, but no one answered. Then he knocked again when the doors opened.

To his horror, the driver saw all the boys and girls were lying dead in their own rooms. He stood there frozen, unable to think what had actually happened. He immediately called the college administration and the parents were also informed about the incident.

Soon, the building was surrounded by police cars. The police started examining the bodies.

To their surprise, they didn't find any injuiry marks, no bleeding, no strangulation signs, or any use of weapon. The police looked around and found there was nobody to give them any kind of information regarding the incident.

They tried to investigate further but they could not find any clues of the killer/killers. They even found that no girl was sexually exploited, therefore, they could not understand what was their motive. And the case investigation reached to a dead-end.

When the incident became a breaking news next day. It created a huge hue and cry in the media. The public were outraged by the news. They expressed their anguish over the killing of so many students. They demanded justice for the students.

The parents asked how were the students killed, when it is a totally isolated place, no people lived in the forest.

And the people from the residential areas which are situated at least 10 kms from the site would definitely not come to attack the students, no girl was sexually exploited, so who killed them, and what was there motive. It is a great mystery.

So, the public pressurized the police to find out the killer at any cost and give them the severest punishment, so that such incident doesn't take place in the future again. But the police could not find any clues, therefore, they had to close the file.
