Arc II: A Dragon’s Trial: chapter 5 Where’s Fusion?

One day after the Demon Queen was slain in Atlas

I wake up in a red void with the feeling of great power flowing through me. "You do know who I am, yes?" a familiar voice asked. I look to where the voice came from and it was me but not me he had long pointy ears, large feathered wings set ablaze with crimson flames, a broken crown sprouting from between strains of hair upon his head, and the tail of a monkey.

"Who are you?" I ask.

"I'm half of you, well at least the half you forgot long ago, you can access this half of you when ever you'd like just say the words I am the son of the Demon God." And with that every thing faded away as I woke up.

I walk down the hall to check on Rin, knock on her door, before she lets me in.

"About what I said," I say before getting cut off by Rin.

"I like you too but not sure if I like like you yet," Rin says in response to my confession one day prior making my heart sink.

"I was about to say I was just trying to get you to stop crying," I lie to keep relationship from getting awkward, hiding my true feelings.

"Okay that's one method, and where's Fusion?"

"Where is Fusion? Crap I lost the dog!" I exclaim. "I can track him with a scent though I just need something that has his scent you sleep with him in bed so the nightgown you're wearing would work."

"Hell no you pervert!" Rin yelled as she through the hardest punch I'd ever felt in my life hitting me square on the right side of my jaw. "You can use his blanket thank you very much," she said calmly as if she hadn't just dislocated my jaw.

After sniffing the dog's blanket I could see a trail leading out of the window to what I could only assume was Fusion. I wait outside of Rin's door letting her get ready for the search.

"So, I'm guessing you know how to find fusion," Rin said dressed in light armor over a red shirt, a skirt, and black thigh highs.

"Wow, you look amazing... wait did I say that out loud?" I accidentally leaked my thoughts.

"Thank you and yes you did," Rin replied.

"So, fusion is southeast of Atlas near Prometheus if we leave now we can be there by sun down," I say ignoring my previous comment.

"Will, Prometheus is at least a full day's cart ride away," Rin says.

"Maybe by cart but it's shorter if we fly, I am the son of the Demon God," I say as my ears turn pointy and elongated with the broken crown that grew from the top of my head along with wings from my back, and a tail that protrudes from the back of my pants.

"What the hell you're actually a half demon..."
