The One in Grey

    "Yes dad! I have everything." I said with a chuckle. He's always so worried about these things.


     "Good I- I'm just going to miss you a lot." He said as tears filled his eyes.


  "Its ok dad, I'm going to have so much fun there! I have Amanda and Matt to take care of me and, I'll call you when I can until you feel better. Okay?" I said trying to cheer him up.


  "Yes please do that!" He said as I chuckled.


  "My plane is here so, I have to go. I love you dad!" I said as I hugged him.


   "I love you too Y/N!" He said as I walked into the line where I would soon get on the plane.


                            Skip to California 


  I walked into my tiny apartment, which I bought until I could afford a bigger one. As I was sitting down on my couch, I got a call from Amanda:


Amanda: Hey y/n! Have you gotten to California yet?


                Y/N: Yeah I got here a couple hours ago.


Amanda: Good! Well Matt and I wanted to know if you wanted to come over for dinner tonight?


                                 Y/N: Yeah, sure that sounds fun!


Amanda: Yeah and you can come over now or later!


                 Y/N: I think I'll come over now, if that's ok


Amanda: Yeah, that's good! See you soon!


                                                Y/N: Ok! Bye manda!!


   She ended the call as I chuckled from my childhood nickname. I think I'm going to enjoy California!
