We reach outside the throne room and we stop outside, waiting for our cue, and it's nearly time. I'm about to walk down the aisle and get married. But I barely get the chance to think when we hear the music and the doors are opened. It's time and I smile at Tony before we begin going inside.
The throne room has been completely transformed. There are banners of green and gold strung up with a red carpet going up to where the thrones normally are. Instead, there is an altar on top of the stairs with Odin in the centre with Frigga, Sif, Nat, and a teenager who must be Hela on the left-hand side. While on the other side is Thor but more importantly my gorgeous Loki. He is dressed in attire which is much classier and has more gold on it. His hair has been gelled back and he is staring at me, a smile on my face.
A smile spreads across my face as we begin going down the aisle towards them, past the thousands of guests on either side. I catch a glimpse of the warriors of three, beaming at me, and then I see all my friends beside them. Bruce, Steve, Clint, Fury, Coulson, Vision, Wanda, Sam, Rhoedy, Maria, Pepper, and Morgan. I can't believe they are all here, smiling at me and I can't help but smile back. Some are gaping at my wings and it makes me chuckle under my breath. But I turn my attention back to Loki and I can't stop staring at him as he looks at me in awe, memorized by my appearance. No doubt loving the extra details I added to the dress. The lovely horns, the backless part, and the fact you can see all my curves.
We reach the stairs by the altar and Loki comes down the stairs to greet me, very eager to help me up there and get married. Smiling just as brightly as I am.
Tony turns to me, kissing me on the cheek, "I love you."
I smile, "I love you, thanks Tony."
He smiles before turning to Loki, shaking his hand, "Look after my sister."
Loki smiles, "I will."
They shake but they hug before Tony goes up the stairs to join Thor while Loki turns to look at me, still in awe. He is completely taken back and it makes me giggle at his reaction. I knew that he would love the dress, a lot.
"You look stunning." He whispers, "The dress… just wow."
I smile, "I had a little designer input."
This makes him smile before he holds out his hand for me and I take it before we go up the stairs and to the altar. I look at Nat who mouths, 'Wow' to me which makes me smile and I smile at them all before we reach Odin and turn to face each other. The music stops and the hall is silent as we look at Odin who is ready to marry us. It's time for us to get married. Its time.
Odin smiles at us both before he begins, "We gathered here today, from across the realms to celebrate the union of my Son, Prince Loki of Asgard, and Katrina, princess of Asgard, Marlowe, and Earth."
We both smile as he continues the declarations which we repeat to each other, declaring our love and that we will always be together until death parts us. And yet as we go on, we never stop looking at each other.
"Now it's time for the vows and the rings." Odin looks at me, "Katrina."
I take a breath before looking at Loki, "When we first met, I had lost my sight and any hope to go on. I hated what I was so much that I didn't want to live, I nearly took my own life. And then this man, this remarkable man, a god convinced me with his silver tongue to keep going. To keep on living and helped me move past my pain, my fears, and discover this magical side of me that I didn't know about. You made me feel whole, alive, and brought me back to life. From that day we have always been close, protecting, saving, and loving each other unconditionally. We have let nothing tear us apart, even death hasn't stopped us." This makes him smile and people chuckle, "You are a good man and I am thankful every day that you were the man who stopped me. As I would have never met and fallen hopelessly in love with you. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you, to have a family and love you forever."
I turn to Sif who passes me the gold ring, entangled with green jewels and I turn to Loki before slipping it onto his finger. We are both smiling, staring at each other in awe and it's time for him to say his vows.
Odin smiles at me before looking at Loki, "Son."
Loki nods before turning to me, staring at me so lovingly, "I remember the day I was banished to Earth and shown to my room on your floor. Your brother had threatened me to stay away from you and I agreed. I had let what happened to me consume me, let my heart freeze, to isolate myself, and then you turned up. You welcomed me, made me feel like I had home, and in that moment I had gained a friend without even realising. And after that day when you nearly took your own life, I found myself caring for you, bonding with you and I felt my heart unfreeze as we spent every day together. You brought out the good man in me and back then, even though I was saving you, you were saving me. You saved me from myself and then you saved me for real." He smiles, "I have a knack at escaping death but a few months back I feared it was my time. I feared I was going to die and then my beautiful princess risked everything to save me. You saved me and I knew that the woman I love would do anything to keep us together and that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you. Worshipping you, loving you. You might have only just got your wings but you were always an angel to me."
Oh god, he is good with words and I can't stop smiling as he turns to Thor who passes him the ring and turns back to me. He slides the ring onto my finger and we are both holding hands, lost in each other's eyes. We are so close to being husband and wife, to being married and even though Loki had a few surprises up his sleeves. I may have had one of my own and I wonder whether Odin will reveal it soon.
Odin smiles at us both, "You have both declared your love for each other and before I pronounce you as husband and wife, there is one more thing that must be said." He looks at me, "Katrina, with marrying my son, you are entitled to become Queen when my son becomes King in a few year's time. I trust you know of this."
I smile and nod, "Yes I do."
Loki looks at me shocked and then his father, "I'm sorry father I don't think I heard you correctly. Did you say when I become king?"
The hall is full of whispering as Odin nods, "Yes son, I did. I have chosen you to become the next king of Asgard."
"But Thor…"
Odin shakes his head, "I chose you, son. You are worthy of the throne and we can all agree that you are, after everything you have done for the realm and for Katrina. So in a few years once I have taught you everything, you will ascend to the throne and become King with your Queen by your side. If you accept it?"
Loki looks at me, worried and shocked, "And you knew?"
I smile, "You are not the only one who had a few surprises planned for today." I hold his hands tighter, "Don't start doubting yourself now. You are worthy to become King and you will be the greatest ruler of all the 9 realms. And I will be by yourself, to support you and be there for you. So accept it and become the king I already know you are."
He smiles at me, "This is why I love you." I smile as he turns to his father, "I accept father."
This makes Odin and everyone smile as Odin looks at me, "With my son accepting the throne, Katrina will be the next Queen of Asgard. I trust you understand you will inherit a throne, responsibilities, and a duty to protect all of Asgard. So do you accept this? To protect the people? Asgard? And the future of all the nine realms?"
I smile, "Yes I do."
We smile and he holds out his hands and in seconds two crowns appear above us. Both have the horns from Loki's helmet and are both sparking and beautiful. His crown has larger horns while mine are smaller to make it more eloquent.
"With these crowns," Odin begins as they lower onto our heads, "You will both be the next King and Queen of Asgard when the times comes and will protect Asgard and all the nine realms."
The crowns settle on our heads and we are both smiling at each other, Loki still surprised and shocked but in total awe of me.
Odin goes on, looking at us, "Do you Katrina, take Loki as your husband and future king?"
I nod, "I do."
"And do you Son, take Katrina as your wife and future Queen?"
Loki smiles, "Of course I do."
We are both smiling as we look at Odin, "You have both declared your love for each other, exchanged vows, rings, and vowed to become the next King and Queen of Asgard. You have proven to everyone here that you will both be a force to be reckoned with." We smile, "So it is my honour and privilege, to pronounce you as husband and wife." He looks at Loki, "You may kiss the bride."
This makes us smile before he pulls me closer and kisses me and I kiss him back, the spark igniting between us. But it feels like fireworks going off, so explosive and intense that it takes my breath away. Our kiss is met with a chorus of claps, people cheering but it only makes him deepen the kiss. We are married, oh my fucking god, we are married. I'm his wife and he is my husband.
