Now that he roughly had a plan on what to do next, he first slept to regain his strength then he searched for a body of water, the nearest he could find was a few hundred meters from his den, it was quite big, he easily noticed other animals on each side of the lake, he even saw a pack of wolves drinking near a deer yet they seemed to be at peace and weren't attacking each other.
"Either the deer is extremely strong or one can't attack near this place?" Ye Feng thought, he approached the lake and drunk only a little bit before quickly running back, it wasn't that his thirst was quenched but he noticed a bank of fishes approaching him and they didn't seem to be peaceful.
"I should make a few barrels and fill them with water to reduce my trips to this lake" Ye Feng noted this idea down, it would probably take a few days to make those barrels but it would be a worthwhile investment especially since the lake might also be frozen in the winter.
Before going back to wandering in the forest, Ye Feng noticed a gleaming item deep down in the lake, although it might be a treasure, it might also be a trap, Ye Feng thought, he wouldn't be surprised if it was a fish who used that light to attract people and then kill them.
Ye Feng wandered in the forest until it was night, surprisingly, he didn't meet a lot of animals, during those hours of wandering, he had only seen 6 animals if he didn't count the ones he saw near the lake.
Ye Feng thought it was odd yet he didn't think much of it, since there didn't seem to be too many edible plants, it might just be that this forest was a place where it was hard for animals to live in, luckily Furbuns didn't eat a lot since they were so small.
When he felt that he was close enough for it to not consume too much energy and far enough for it to not reveal his location, he used his Mental Power to shake down a tree then used his Mental Power to drag it back to his den. As the tree was too big, it couldn't enter his den so he made the hole a little bit bigger before quickly putting it back to normal.
Ye Feng was panting since it consumed too much energy, he looked at the tree and first removed the branches, then, he removed the bark, as he was half-finished, he went to sleep, he was too weak to continue.
After making a line on the wall, he continued working and removed the remaining bark, his stomach grumbled, he ate some plants before going outside, his food stock was still too short and if he didn't regularly start going outside to stock foods, he'd quickly starve to death.
He'd follow the markings he made then go somewhere that he hadn't marked, thus, he wouldn't go to places where he had already picked out every edible plant, but, this also meant that as time passed, it would be harder and harder for him to find edible plants, I wonder if I can eat meat, Ye Feng thought, if he was able to find a big enough animal, he could make jerky and have enough to eat for 6 months.
On the path he chose, he found enough plants for at least one week but it wasn't enough so he kept searching, as the moon started rising, Ye Feng noticed a small hole, he went and inspected it, it resembled a cave, Ye Feng looked at it with hope, he hoped that this cave would at least have a treasure, yet, he couldn't go now, he simply had no light-source.
When he arrived at his den, he put the plants on a corner of the den then went back to working on his barrel, it was quite hard at first since he never tried but he realized that it was easier than it looked, Mental Power was an extremely versatile power, although it used nearly as much energy as crushing someone, he could use his Mental Power as a cutting tool, he didn't know how effective it would be in a fight but it worked pretty well now.
First, he made 3 hoops, after making the 3 of them, he realized that the tree was too small and it would need at least 3-4 trees to make one barrel, he sighed as he wasn't sure how much days of works it would take to make just one barrel.
He went to sleep and, the first thing he did was to go to the lake and he started drinking, he noticed that he could still see the shining item in the bottom of the lake, he then went back to the cave he'd seen the day prior, he took the branch of a tree and 2 flints, he then used those 2 flints to make a fire on the tip of the branch.
With a light source and his Mental Power, Ye Feng hopped into the cave, the cave only had one path, Ye Feng sighed, he thought it might end up as a labyrinth where it would take years to find out if there were any treasures inside.
Ye Feng hopped, he noticed that the path seemed to have turned bigger and bigger, eventually, it was so big, he was sure that it wasn't a cave and there might truly be a treasure there. Excitedly, he hopped even faster.
Eventually, his Mental Power couldn't completely cover the path, and very soon, he knew he had arrived at the end, with the help of the torch, he saw an immense gate and at each side, a statue, Ye Feng hopped near those statues and looked, 'These are Furbuns' he exclaimed.
As he continued inspecting those statues, they slowly rotated and seemed to be looking at him, the eyes of the statues flashed with a red light, blinding Ye Feng who fell unconscious, when he woke up, he found himself in an extremely dark place, he didn't have his torch with him, his Mental Power was also unable to be used.
Ye Feng hopped in a random direction, he directly collided with what seemed to be a wall, luckily, his fur took the shock and he wasn't injured, he tried to be more careful and hopped in another direction, fortunately, there were no walls there.
He hopped and noticed torches starting to burn after he hopped past them, with those torches, he was able to see that he was in an extremely small hallway, he continued hopping and more and more torches started to burn.
From afar, he noticed a light, he hopped even faster, he saw a pedestal with light shining on it, he looked on the pedestal and saw a book, Ye Feng looked at the book and recognized those words, this was the language he spoke back on Earth, Ye Feng exclaimed, he wasn't sure if it was a coincidence or that the book was so divine that it automatically changed its words to become like this to help him understand.
Ye Feng skimmed through the book and found himself to be dizzy, it was hard to stay up and even harder to read yet he continued, as he continued reading, he felt even dizzier when he read up to the last word, the sense of dizziness disappeared and he felt his mind becoming clearer, information seemingly being transmitted directly into his brain.
A door then opened behind the pedestal, leading directly to where the cave was, Ye Feng looked at the System Prompt,
[Host has encountered a Lucky Event!
Will you Collect Luck?
Yes/No]
Ever since he ate that fruit, he knew that he shouldn't forget to obtain the benefits before pressing Yes, and, since he already obtained knowledge, he could safely press Yes, he then waited for a while and didn't forget anything, he then walked outside and looked at his Luck Bar.
It had risen by a whopping 50%, yet, Ye Feng knew something was wrong, judging from how a flower had given 10%, this could've at least made him reach the next level, yet, it only gave him half a bar... Ye Feng thought that it might either be that because he received this set of knowledge [obtained benefits], he received less luck... Or the set of knowledge he received was flawed.
Ye Feng took a peek at the knowledge he had received, it was a cultivation art, specific to Furbuns that would allow them to train their Mental Power without having to cultivate, such an important information, it had to be flawed for it not to give the next rank of Luck, yet, after investigation, he noticed that nothing seemed to be wrong?
He started training using the knowledge he received and felt a small increase in Mental Power but still didn't find anything wrong with this training set, maybe because the training set didn't allow one to go past the Warrior Realm? Ye Feng didn't know but he was surprised at the System Prompt he just received
