CHAPTER 2 - NORTH

"Let me present to you, The North's King, King Alexis!"

Cheering, people shouting out his name welcoming him. All of the people are rejoicing for his coronation.

"King Alexis, the pure and almighty Alexis! All for you, Your Majesty!" the people shout in unison.

"Thank you, Thank you for accepting me as your new king. I might be the youngest King in our history, I will make sure I am because I don't want to make my son carry such a responsibility. Our late King left us with much treasure and honor to protect. I am hoping that everyone will make sure to protect what is ours, do not mess with others, and keep the country peaceful." The people applauded. "There's one thing I want all of you to know. I'm sure all of you know that even how a King works hard, how much he win and succeed, it is also important to have a Queen beside him to be his number one supporter." He looked at Vivienne's face. "I will take this opportunity to let you all witness my proposal to Lady Vivienne." The poppers, the applause is all he can hear, and her smile is all he can see. "Lady Vivienne, will you marry me?" he knelt and opened a box with a ring that was made especially for her. It was detailed with little lavenders and a small but elegant diamond in the middle.

With teary eyes, she nodded; "Yes! Yes, King Alexis, I will marry you!" and they hugged each other in front of them.

"Glory to our beloved North! Hail, Our King, and Queen! Long Live!"

After months of preparation, the wedding day has come. All their people were invited and they had a feast. Everyone is happy seeing their King smiling. Finally, there will be someone by his side when everything has messed up.

The orchestra played a song for the newly wedded couple.

It's amazing how you can speak right to my heart

Without saying a word, you can light up the dark

Try as I may, I can never explain

What I hear when you don't say a thing.

"I love you, Vivienne. I always love you. I love you from the start and has no end. I forgot to tell you before you left, but now you're here with me, I won't ever let you go. I will love you every day." He hugged her tight and kissed her cheeks.

"I love you too, Alexis. I will never choose to get married if it wasn't for you. You don't know how happy I am the day you asked me to be your Queen. Even you are not the king, I won't get tired of loving and staying by your side." And she kissed him.

The smile on your face lets me know that you need me

There's a truth in you eyes saying you'll never leave me

The touch of your hand says you'll catch me wherever I fall

You say it best when you say nothing at all.

All the people watching them applauded with tears in their eyes. They all witnessed the ups and downs Vivienne and Alexis shared.

Years have passed, the North remained as the most powerful among the countries. Some news has spread that the Southeast are facing their problems because their sorcerers were slowly decreasing and neighboring countries are planning to colonize them.

Queen Vivienne is now six months pregnant with their first baby. They opt not to know its gender. His Uncle managed to escape the facility. The whole palace is in red alert to protect the royal family.

"Your Highness, our satellites noticed an irregular formation of an island in the middle of our planet."

He faced the monitor and carefully examined the sprouting island.

"It will take years to completely be above sea level. Your Highness, do you think this has to do something with the old myth where all of the countries will be united?"

"There's no point in denying it. But I hope that it will start unification and not to be a reason to get into a war."

The whole north didn't know when exactly Queen Vivienne got pregnant. All of the were curious and are dying to know what will be the first baby is.

The time has come. Both Vivienne and her sister Criselda are about to give birth.

Alexis doesn't know what to do. He was just outside the room where Vienne and Criselda is. When he heard babies crying, it was like music to his ears and he was smiling with tears of joy.

When he entered the room he saw two baby boys beside Vivienne. He saw Vivienne smiling so beautifully like she never did before. He saw another baby beside Criselda. There he thought that the other baby beside Vivienne was Criselda's.

He looked at Vivienne, "They were both ours, Alexis. We have twins."

He hugged Vivienne, "Thank you, Vienne. Thank you for giving birth to them. Thank you for being safe. I love you."

The three of them grew very well like they are all brothers.

The island in the middle of the countries has been developed. After eighteen years of observation, the satellites finally showed how improvement was made in the said island.

"Welcome home Daddy!" the twins hugged him as soon as he entered the palace door.

Vivienne looked at them with so much love, "I never imagined you two will grow that fast! You are now as tall as your Dad. But that wouldn't change the fact that the two of you will always be our babies."

"Handsome Princes, Mommy!" they laughed at each other.

Vivienne waited until Alexis finished his bath.

"How's my King? Something's up. What is it?"

"They want the next in line to be the participant."

"To be the participant of what?" she was confused.

"The recently developed island wants to train all the crowned princes, princesses, or the highest ranks of each country on their island."

"For what?"

"For unity."

"What if we won't join?"

"They might think that we are rebelling against all of them. They have all their eyes on us. We are the powerful north, but when all the seven countries will unite against us, we're doomed."

"No way! That can't be! What if our son will get hurt there!"

"We will make sure that wouldn't happen. Think of it as an act of unity. It's the first duty as a Crowned Prince."

He hugged his teary wife.

"We have to obey the Rule of Mythical Island. It may help us to be unified. Let us trust that the Dwindle and Burgeon will start the harmonious relationship to all of us."
