CHAPTER 38 - AMAZE

Friean rolled her eyes.

She sighed in disbelief. "You all know that I value my face so much right? It is my only pride. How could you do this?!" she shouted and attacked at the same time.

With all her force he tried to reach Meta who is totally shocked on how Friean reacted on what she did. She was just expecting a pretty girly reaction but she was totally twice as furious when she saw Mave's condition a while ago.

Everyone was surprised when she wave her hand and the leaves followed her. She lifted her self up and looked at Meta like she was about to eat her.

She smirked, "I am Meta of the South. I may look like weak but looks are always deceiving. I accept no excuses when somebody else ruins my beauty and my style. You chose the wrong opponent with your action," the veins are now following her hands' command, "Accept this punishment of yours!" she shouted.

Meta is still stunned by the beauty of Friean's power. Even her power still holds the beauty and characteristics of a true Goddess.

Even the boys are stunned that no one of them are able to move when they saw her attack.

All the leaves and veins attacked Meta in unison. There's no way you can see Meta. She was totally surrounded by Friean's attack.

The attack was suddenly loosening its power. The leaves and veins are slowly disappearing.

The boys came back to their senses. They all looked for Friean first rather Meta who was attacked.

"Friean? Friean!" Rex hurriedly run towards his sister who was about to fall after she gave all her force t attack Meta.

She was totally unconscious. When Rex finally held her, that's the time the other boys looked for Meta.

Nobody expected to see her like that. To see that she is smiling. She was standing firm because she was able to block Friean's attack that not really noticeable due to their surprise.

Meta finally looked at the boys who were amazed to see the unusual view of Meta, "Did you all see that?" still smiling while asking the boys. She pointed Friean, "That girl is something! She has a lot to show if she would be trained properly!"

Rex, who is also looking at the happy Meta view, was enchanted, "I just have to take her first under the tree. I'll let her rest first. You boys should prepare our food. We badly needed it."

Ace was able to get Rex's idea, "I agree. Let all those who trained rest and all of us who are still capable to prepare for the food."

While preparing their food, Roi tried to open up the topic for what happened earlier, "They are both amazing. Considering that they haven't trained as much as most of us did. But still they were able to show off those skills."

"Mave's athletic response and strong core. He can be our defender. We can position him as our wing. Friean's deceiving yet powerful aura, we put her in the middle or front to entice and deceive the opponents," Ace suggested.

Tosh clapped, "That's a powerful placing, General! But first, we need to make sure that they will be able to perform their and protect their respective places well. We need to make them as deadly like that girl above the trees," he pointed at Meta, "We need to make Mave and Friean as individuals that we can leave here without bearing much worries for their safety."

"I agree with that," Hoax hurriedly supported Tosh's idea, "We need to make them a safe persons who we can leave all by themselves. It is really tough to go away to find food for us but at the same time thinking that they have been food for others."

All of them laughed. They now have a small hope that everything will be handled and sooner they will feel safer as time goes by.

The unbelievable yet amazing performance the two have shown made Ace's heart flutter, "That's a sign of a little more hope we have to leave this fucking island," he smiled.

"That's so not you!" Rex exclaimed as he pat Ace's back, "You speak such words, huh? You surprised me, bro!"

Ace chuckled, "I'm also a human. What do you think of me?" He left out a deep breathe and asked, "How is she? Is she sound asleep?"

Rex sighed, "I think she is. But she still has the scene on her head. She sometimes scream and tumbles down. But she clamed down now that's why I able to join you now."

"You must be proud of your little sister, aren't you?" Meta suddenly appeared behind Rex and joined them.

Rex blushed, "I am! Of course she is my sister after all."

Meta smiled, "You must be. She is a powerful Goddess. May be, she did not just talk to every plant in your garden but also made friends with them," she looked at Rex's eyes, "I am challenged. I want more."

"Ahm," Rex gulped, "Next time, maybe? I'll make her more worthy to face you."

The boys are looking at him with a teasing smile.

After minutes of sharing ideas on how their day went and plan some alternatives, Mave woke up from his long rest.

"How are you feeling, MVP?" Ace asked.

Mave scratched the back of his head, "I'm feeling better. It was a great experience. It's kinda surprising that my body is asking for more but my mind just want to rest."

They laughed at Mave's pretty reasoning of he still wants to rest.

Rex answered, "Don't worry, you will surely have more to come. That's for you and Friean. But, you did very well a while ago."

Mave toured around his eyes as if he is looking for something, or may it be someone.

"She is resting under the tress. She trained while you are sleeping. Sadly you weren't able to see how she did very well o discovering the power nd ability she has," Meta answered Mave without hearing his question.

They have spent the night talking mo about what they have need to improve in order to let other take their turn to rest while the others are on guard
