CHAPTER 29

I smelled my favorite food when I got the door, a smile plastered on my lips. I open the door "Mom, I'm home"

I heard mom's screaming "Arianna, you've come. Wash your hands. I'm still in the kitchen". I immediately went to the bathroom and wash my hands then dry it. When I got out of the bathroom, I saw mom arranging food on the table. She turned her head and smiled "Come here, let's eat. I miss you"

I walked over and took my chair and sat down. The smell of my favorite food wafted on my nose. I can't wait to eat the food that my mom made. When they had taken their seats. Dad got me a bowl of rice and gave it to me "You have to eat a lot. You look so thin"

I took the bowl from his hand and took a side dish. I heard mom say "How was your college ?"

While chewing my food "Everything is fine. Woahh, mom your food is delicious. I miss your cooking"

She scowled "Finish the food in your mouth then you can speak"

I hurriedly chewed and swallowed my food "Finally I could eat my favorite food again"

Mom just smiled at me while taking side dish and gave it to me "You have to eat more, if you miss my cooking that much"

I grinned while spooning my food. "Me and dad today have to come to work. Why don't you rest at home ? You must be tired after traveling so far"

I just nodded at my mother's words. After we finished eating, I cleared the table and helped her wash the dishes. "Stay at home" Mom said firmly.

"Yepp .. " I huffed and hugged her arm. She smiled sweetly at me. She shook her head while rubbing my head.

"I have to go now" She turned around then took her bag and put on her shoes and went out. I peeked from the window, I saw they had walked out of the house. I hurriedly sat on the sofa and picked up the phone and dialed Adrian's number

I pinched my nose, hoping that Adrian didn't recognize my voice "This is me ..."

"Miss Arianna, it's been two hours since you arrived at home. Why notify me now ?"

"You know ... My mom's only been out a minute. Uh no .. half a minute. I had to eat with them first"

"That's mean if Miss Arianna is not allowed to date ?"

"Smart. If my mom finds out, later she will tell all my relatives and by the time when I entered college, I was exhausted"

"I'm waiting for that" I heard Adrian's laughter

"You want me to be exhausted ?"

"Exhausted is just a predicate, I'm waiting for the subject"

I smiled imagining his face "What are you doing ?"

"I'm at the office. Soon I'll have a meeting with everyone. Wait, I have to charge my battery, my battery runs out"

"Do your job then, I won't bother you anymore. You have to earn money to support our rare .... " I hear my front door being opened. I immediately stood up. I saw mom was looking at me with a strange face.

I stuttered "Okay, Nicky. Do all the questions that I gave. If you have any questions, just call me. You already know my phone number"

I immediately hung up the phone and smiled nervously "Why did you come back, mom ?"

"Who are you talking to ?" She looked at me with a deathly gaze and her lips pursed.

"Uhm ... Nicky. My tutor student"

Mom's face turned soft "Oh, I forgot something" She went into her room then came out again. I chased her to the front door then pat mom on her shoulder

"Mom, can I buy a new cellphone ?"

She smiles "You can buy it but I remember that my boss knows that you come home. She told me that she needed a tutor for her child. So if you want a new phone, you have to tutor him".

She looked at me with a deathly gaze and her lips pursed. I immediately turned off the phone and smiled nervously "Why did you come back again, mom?

"Who are you talking to ?"

"Uhm .. Nicky my tutor student" Mom's face turned soft

"Oh, I forgot something" She said and went into her room and then came out again. I chased her to the front door and then I pat mom on the shoulder "Mom, can I buy a cellphone?"

Mom smiles "You can buy it, but I remember that my boss knows when you come home. She told me yesterday that she needed a tutor for her child. So if you want a new phone, you have to tutor her child"

I frowned "Come on, mom, I have scholarship money. Why can't I use it ?"

"I confiscated it" She smirked while opened the door and went out.

I looked incredulously at her. She passed and before I know she was gone and closed the door. I leaned against the wall and knocked my head against the wall "What should I say to Adrian ?"

When I eat dinner, I rush my food. When my plate is empty, I see on the table that the side dish bowl is also empty. I immediately asked my parents "You are done eating right ? I will was the dishes"

I cleaned up the dirty dishes and hurriedly washed. My parents give me a weird look. I ignored them and continued washing the dishes. After finished, I saw both of them watching television. I passed them "I already washed the dishes. I'm going to my room now"

Without listening to their answers, I went into my room. I open my laptop and plug in my headset. I see Adrian is online.

"Have you been online earlier ? I had dinner first with my parents"

"I was just online"

"Today I teach lessons for my mom's boss's son. Today is raining but I don't get rained, I'm wearing an umbrella"

Suddenly I sneezed. Both of us were silent.

"Take your medicine" said Adrian firmly.

I took a glass then took the medicine that given by Adrian and rushed to drink it.
