John Peter
It is rare for him to not have nightmares. John slept comfortably at the bed as if it were his own.
The morning light began creeping inside the hut making John opened his eyes in agitation. The room was quite big and there are lots of witch stuff that he hasn't noticed last night.
He got himself out of the bed and wandered around. The floor creaks as he stepped on it. He moved near a small study table near the furniture with potions. The table was well crafted and its color glints like it had just been varnished. He puts his hand on top of the table. A nostalgic air hit him. He can't explain what he feels; he wanted to cry, to scream, to laugh.
Defying the extreme feelings, John managed to get his hand off of the table, calming the stirring unexplainable emotions somehow. He continued scanning it, its features as if there is something hidden inside it. He moved around and noticed that there was a drawer in it. He pulled the drawer to open it. Filled inside were pieces of jewelry: earrings, rings, necklaces, bracelets, and lockets. He poured the contents on the top of the table, they spilled, some beads rolled over. He looked at the pieces of jewelry one by one and put them back in the drawer. He doesn't know what he's doing but there is something that tells him to dig on the piles of accessories. There is something he needs to find out.
He bit his lower lip making the blood trickled down his chin. The chilliness of the surrounding is making him feel more distasteful. John draws a creepy smile and grabbed a golden locket, he slowly puts it on his neck. He laughed an evil manly laugh. His voice has changed.
"Freedom tastes like honey." He uttered in a husky unnatural voice, very different from what his natural voice was. John's eyes were consumed by the color of pure coal-black.
The clouds from the outside swirled, making the bright sunny sky darkened and turned gloomy in an instant. Rooks cawed from the distance like a flock of small winged creatures surged in the hut, swirling into a small tornado as they dash straight it.
John blinked his eyes and they returned in their usual colors. He shook his head. He found the necklace with the cursive writing of his sister's name in the pile of accessories. He grabbed and put it in his cloak's pocket hurriedly before the small winged-creatures can tear the roof of the hut. He ducked as he sensed the incoming creatures about to rip off the cogon roof, albeit he hasn't yet seen the creatures. His instincts are telling him to do so.
Outside, the small winged-creatures were bounced back like some invisible barrier is preventing them to enter. The witches' magic.
John walked to the door and went to the potions room. He called Jamesu who is nowhere to be found. The golden locket in his neck glinted while he is unaware of the fact that he is wearing it. The small winged-creatures outside have grown in numbers just within seconds.
John stopped from walking, he stood there like a mannequin, thinking of ways of how to stop the manic creatures with the bat-like wings, a big bulging eye in its round head, human-like arms which have talons at both ends.
They're raking the invisible barrier with their metallic-looking talons.
"Let me possess you. My minions are eager to worship me again." A chilly voice whispered from behind John's back.
"Just for tonight till I get to be revived at the crimson moon, you'll be rewarded then." The voice was invited. It then lets out an evil sardonic laugh.
Ignoring the voice, John walked towards Kim's door and opened it. His eyes widened, Kim's eyes bulged wider that they were about to be popped out from their eye-sockets as they are turning into pure evil red in colors.
"Pervert!" She yelled, shooting a tremendous bolt of mud that hit John at the chest. John was so shocked that he wasn't able to deflect the attack as he was sent stumbling on the far corner of the room instead.
Kim hastily put her dress on and went to face the intruder. Her hair was damp from the bath she just took. Her eyes flared in a mixture of anger and humiliation.
John lied on the floor unconsciously.
And that's when the source of the cold voice took advantage of the situation. A dark entity made of black mist entered his mouth. John stirred then he opened his eyes which are now consumed with pure black colors. John stood up and positioned the glinting golden locket in his neck.
"Not a bad body at all." The husky deep voice began, so different from John's voice.
"Who are you?" Kim bombarded a question as she was aware of the situation. Her eyes flashed red.
"I have no business to deal with you." John turned back and twisted his neck, it made a sound.
The winged-creatures continued raking the barrier, they have had grown into thousands already.
"What are those things outside? Kim asked him again.
"Bye Princess." John waved his hand goodbye and smiled grimly. He sent a bolt of black light to the windows which broke into pieces of shards before flying outside. Kim stood there mystified, she scratched her head as the hundreds of winged-creatures surged inside the hut.
She dodged the first ten bat-like creatures whose talons are wide openly ready to pierce her tender and fatty flesh.
Her eyes turned ruby-red angrily as she began chanting an incantation making the air grow chiller, the encrusted crimson pig on her neck swirled and came to life bombarding the first hundred bat-like creatures inside the hut. The bat-like creatures are slowly getting vaporized as the behemoth pig nuzzles its snout at them. The hut vomited everyone inside and shut itself making a strong barrier that covers itself. Kim flew and hit a tree, some of the bat-like creatures are vaporized after the hut spatted them out. Kim shot bolts of mud balls disintegrating every bat-like creature around, her back hurts but she is forced to stand up. The huge crimson pig is protecting her, at the same time it is taking offense by devouring small winged-creatures that are continuously raking its flesh.
Kim feels her energy being restored as she was enveloped in red mists coming from the pig's tail. She was fully healed by the pig's respite.
The darkened sky rumbled which was followed by a heavy cloudburst. The sky started to rain.
"I have completely underestimated you, Princess,"
Kim looked up and saw John floating in the air.
"Leave that body already or else,"
"You'll kill me?" He chuckled.
"Kill the so-called friend of yours? A perverted friend of yours?" John teased.
"Would you please just shut up!"
Kim shouted and the first ten bat-like creatures which were about to strike her fell from the air.
John's body tensed after feeling the sudden surge of power that overflowed the forest.
"Amazing," John mused and clapped his hands.
"The blessings of the goose are truly and undeniably admirable," he added and sent a bolt of blacklight towards her. Kim couldn't move her feet, she stood there unable to move as she'd just been paralyzed, she just stared at the incoming bolt of black light.
She screamed, making the behemoth crimson pig devoured the immense bolt of power. The pig disintegrated together with the last drop of the cloudburst, leaving the sky in drizzles. All the small winged-bat-like-creatures formed a swirling tornado and surged towards her all at once. Kim smirked and walked bravely underneath the floating John. A swirling mud is revolving around her.
"Get it on!" She screamed and the tornado of the bat-like creatures surged downward towards her. She then raised her hands and a red swirling mist of light started mixing with the muds as they shoot upwards, colliding with the tornado of the small-bat-like-creatures. The forest of Feesh rumbles which was then followed by the flying of a flock of disoriented birds.
John clapped his hands.
Kim's eyes were now an image of pure rage. The muds on the very ground of the forest are rising like they were tiny drops of water. And these blobs of mud are revolving around John.
"Wouldn't you rejoice to see the new version of your sister, brother?" Kim levitated. No, she isn't, she's stepping on a flying swirling mud carpet.
John grinned malevolently in response.
"Princess, you shouldn't have gone away with Aslan, she can take care of you."
"Enough!" She squeaked angrily.
"You're dead already so be gone."
"I am, dead? How funny?" He forced a chuckle.
"Joshua, wouldn't you be happy to see Jane in another world?" Kim's eyes were teary.
John's face was emotionless.
"Jane didn't love me and I don't love her either, that love was merely a bogusness."
"Haven't you love her? Haven't you felt any remorse towards her? Or even a bit of sympathy towards her?"
"That's a mere pity. All I felt towards her is a pity and I sympathize with that poor gal, she shouldn't have fallen in love with me. She shouldn't have walked and crossed my path. Poor thing."
"I pity you and your vengeful heart brother, so please be gone."
"Pity me? Shouldn't you be helping me take my vengeance to that witch for mistakingly killing me, thinking I was a writer? That wretched Colleen!" John shouted angrily.
"I will take her down for you, so please." Kim pleaded.
"No, I will take her down myself."
"Brother please, I don't want you to go away, knowing you're deeply hurt, all I want for you is to rest in peace."
"Rest in peace? With me still having an unfinished business?"
"Let me finish that business for you then,"
"No, you can't."
"Just let go of John and be gone already."
John laughed.
"Earlier, you've said that you wanted me to not go away and now you're saying otherwise, how cruel? Don't worry. I'm just using this body for just tonight, he will be all good afterward as." John reassured.
John stirred into consciousness, his powers are starting to awaken him.
The locket on John's neck shimmered and a purple mist started to consume his body. John shook his head and realized he's falling. Kim was shocked and ordered the muds to catch him.
"What happened?" John asked, as soon as he was lying on the ground, feeling the draining of his powers.
"John," Kim muttered, hastily pulling off the locket from his neck.
"Why am I wearing that?"
"I don't know, but are you okay now?"
"I guess I am. But why did you shot me? That temporarily made me unconscious and made me flew outside?" John said uncertainly. Kim just nodded.
John stood up and staggered. Kim helped him gain some balance.
"I somewhat found a body to possess." A hoarse voice said from behind their back.
"That evil presence, I had just felt that. . .that presence lately." John's voice quivered, he looked from behind his back and saw a white bunny that wears a golden locket in its neck.
Kim's eyes turned red and a pile of mud rose to devour the white bunny.
"Cool!" John mused, making a smile.
"What happened here? The forest is in a mess." Jamesu's voice spoke from the other side. He seemed unaware of what had happened.
"Where had you gone?" Kim asked suspiciously.
"Just went around strolling."
He walked towards them, evading the dead bats from the now muddy ground.
"Why are there so many dead bats here?" Jamesu raised his thick brows.
"So not all have disintegrated huh?" Kim sighed.
"Or more of like the remains are the what so-called the spoils of war," John concluded, heaving.
A black rising tornado rose from the pile of mud Kim had dumped the bunny with.
"Impossible!" Kim stood there shocked.
"That took a bit too long regaining my soul back." Joshua swirled in a form of a black mist, his ghostly black shadow took form as he stood there with hollow glinting black eyes full of vengeance.
"You always put me up in a good beating my dear piggy sissy," Joshua teased and shot a bolt of a black ball made of mist swirling with electrical bolts towards them. John countered it by shooting it with glittery small specs of violet lights. The counterattack hasn't even budged Joshua's attack which sent the three of them towards the trees. Jamesu flew meters away face-first on the ground, Kim hit her back on a tree making her spill blood from her mouth, John, on the other hand, was sent flying a hundred meters away, he hit his head on the ground returning him to unconscious again. Joshua lets out a grin. His ghostly image glided near John and made his way back into a swirling black mist and entered John's mouth.
John opened his eyes.
"It feels good to be back in a living body again." He stretched his arms.
"Hurry, I need you here in the world of the unenlightened. A conflict has arisen here. Be fast the crimson moon is about to wane. . ." A woman's voice ordered called over Joshua who was busy stretching John's body.
"The world of the unenlightened huh?" He moved himself a step backward and floats in the air, he moved his hand in a circling motion making a swirling-whirling portal in the air. He muttered a chant and the dead bat-like creatures swirled into life.
"The world of unenlightened, here I come." He said with a grim grin creeping on the side of his face.
