CHAPTER 25

Kagura eventually stopped crying and fell asleep in my arms right after. I carried her on my back and I went to go to their house, hoping that I could get some supplies there.

The moment I saw Kagura's house, I was disappointed. The house had been burned downed like the rest of the houses in town. Perhaps that was wishful thinking on my part. I did saw a shirt that was on the ground, it wasn't that dirty and I took it and changed my shirt. It's a lot better than the bloody shirt I was currently wearing.

I was about to walk and proceed to the forest to just sleep there so that I could rest but on the side of my eyes, I saw the dead remains of both Arthur and Emma.

I looked at them for a while and soon went towards their bodies. I made them into ice sculptures and destroyed them immediately afterward causing the ice fragments to be drifted to the wind.

"I'll help Kagura, don't worry", I said as I saw the small specks of ice being carried away. Kagura didn't see what I did, she was still sleeping on my back, a rest she definitely needed.

Eventually, I went to the forest, and just slept in the ground, but I woke up 30 minutes after due to Kagura shivering in the cold beside me. I forgot that she wasn't like me, due to me being a zoan fruit eater my body was stronger plus I was used to sleeping in the cold when I was training alone. There were times that my body was too exhausted that returning back to the cave was too much of a pain in the ass, so I just slept on the ground.

I transformed my body into my full yeti form, causing Kagura to subconsciously snuggle really close towards me due to the heat. I let her and I watch her return back into a deep sleep.

I sighed and said in a low voice, "You'll be fine kid, I got you".

Suddenly I felt two presence coming towards us.

Then in the bush came out a creature that looks like that of a Tiger, but instead of walking on its 4 limbs, the creature was walking with its two back legs and it was also 3 times bigger than an ordinary tiger. This reminds me of someone using human-animal hybrid mode with their zoan ability. I immediately held Kagura in my arms to protect her while I punched the creature that was running towards me. The creature eventually became an ice statue.

Kagura who was woken up by this began to cry. For her, Enzo had left her and a big furry monster was going to kill her.

"There, there Kagura. Everything's safe I got you", Enzo said to the crying little girl.

Hearing my voice, Kagura stops crying and she stared at my face, still in my Yeti mode.

"E....Enzo?", Kagura said weakly.

"Yes", I replied.

She smiles and wipes the tears from her eyes and I placed her on my left shoulder. I told her to hold tight so that she won't fall.

Right now, I was waiting for the second guy, the guy who was chasing the creature that I just killed. Based on my Observation Haki, I could sense this individual was powerful. True, I could run, but I wanted to at least be able to meet with the person and ask for directions for the nearest town. I needed supplies, most especially Kagura needed it.

Out in the bush came out a tall, muscular man with shoulder-length orange hair and a stubbly beard, and the man had this 'cool' long cloak on his back.

"What do we have here? Take-over magic?", the man asks as he looks at me.

"I don't want any trouble man. I just took care of this creature cause it was running towards us", I said to the man. I was a little confused when I heard him say, 'Take-over magic' though, I had no idea what he meant by that.

"Oh, thanks for that. I'm already too sleepy to try and chase him anyway", the man said as he confirmed the state of the creature he was chasing. "Anyway, what are you guys doing in the forest this late in the night?", the man asked.

I decided to just tell him, "I'm Enzo Lockhart and this is Kagura Mikazuchi", I said as I pointed at Kagura who was sitting on my left shoulder.

"A few hours ago, a town that is not far from here was attacked by a group of people. They burned the houses down and then killed nearly all the people except this little girl", when Kagura heard this I could feel her tightly holding my fur in her hands. I quickly decided to continue, "Right now the two of us were sleeping to get some rest and hopefully travel to the nearest town. Now that you're here I was hoping that you'll help us with that. A map would do if you have any.".

The man had a sad expression and said to us, specifically Kagura, "I'm sorry for you lost. My name is Gildarts Clive, S-rank wizard of Fairy Tail", Gildarts then showed as his tattoo on his chest.

"Wizard?", I asked confused what he meant by that.

"Yes, just like you", He replied.

"But...I'm not a wizard", I said back now more confused than ever.

"But you're using Take-over Magic right now", Gildarts said as he points at me.

"Oh, yeah I forgot", I said clearly a lie. It seems that magic here is what the previous world would classify as a fruit ability. I really need knowledge of how this world works, just so that I won't say anything stupid.

"Look I have a tent with me. I'll sleep here and we can go to the nearest town together tomorrow. If that's okay with you?", Gildarts asked.

I was reluctant to allow him but I wasn't sensing anything bad coming from him so after a while of thinking I agreed. He soon made a fire and he slept not far from it. I on the other hand didn't sleep and kept a close watch on Gildars the remainder of the night, just to make sure.

I allowed him doesn't mean I trust him.
